Chapter 179: Kanto Vs Hoenn

The group had already made their plans on who would go first. Axel wanted to make their plans were up to the point so they started to discuss again. Here were the team for the battle tomorrow

Ryker- Magmar (rare rank)

Lyra- Poliwrath (rare rank)

Lorelai- Jynx (rare rank)

Lance- Arcanine (rare rank)

Axel- Piloswine (rare rank)

Magmar and Jynx had ranked up to rare ranked in these 2 months.

They had practiced for 2 months for this battle. They could not be more ready than this.

Next day, the day of the battle.

The kanto team was making a circle around Axel before the battle.

"You know the feeling, when you have practiced for the test so hard and for so long that even if you could not prepare completely, you feel like fuck it, let's do it anyway. That is what I am feeling right now and I know that is what you all are feeling right now.

We have given our 100%. We know that we could not do better than this. Has the opposite team prepared better than us? I don't know. But I do know that we could not prepare more than this and this is enough.

So, let's not think if we are ready or not. Let's not fear if we can win this or not. Let's give it our best.", said Axel. Axel had given his speech before the battle. He wanted them to be motivated.

"Yeah. Let's do it. We have already made plans for this battle. We don't need to worry", said Ryker.

"Let's do it!!!", said all of them at the same time.

The team was led to a massive stadium. The stadium was a normal one with a big Pokeball sign in the middle. Boris and the other man from the Hoenn team came and said, "Hello everyone, my name is Boris, from the Kanto explorer team and the man next to me Alex is from the Hoenn explorer team. Before the start of the battle, we would like you to tell the rules again.

1. Each team member could only use 1 Pokemon. The Pokemon should not be above rare rank

2. The Pokemon should be the first Pokemon that they caught in this unknown island

3. The battle would be 1 vs 1 match

4. Whenever a team member loses, another member would replace him/her.

5. This is the last-man-standing match. Whoever is the last one standing would win the battle for their team

6. Winning the battle would determine which region would take the unknown island. The winning team would also get rewards.

Now, le.."

"Hey Boris, leave something for me too. You are not going to say everything are you?", said Alex cutting Boris off. Boris looked displeased that he was cut off in the middle. Axel could feel that those 2 had some history of rivalry in the past.

"Now, each team would be given 5 minutes to choose their team member and the first battle would begin. Me and Boris would both be the referee in this battle.", said Alex.

Axel's team had already decided on the first team member. It was Lorelai. Among others, Jynx of Lorelai was the weakest of all. Sending it first would make sense as they could test the waters. Axel encouraged Lorelai to give her all but personally, he had made up his mind to lose the first battle.

"Both the teams are requested to send their member", said Boris.

Lorelai came over to the stadium and Romero from the Blaze family also followed.

"Send out your Pokemons", said Alex.

"Go, Jynx"

"Go, Golbat"

Golbat would evolve into Crobat with high friendship. Sadly, evolution was not discovered here till now. Except for stones and natural evolution, there was hardly any other evolution that was discovered. That was why Axel's research on eeveelution was so popular. It brought out a new concept of evolution.

"Golbat, use 'Hypnosis'"

"Jynx, use 'Rain dance' and 'Hail'"

'Hypnosis' connected and made Jynx dizzy. It was daytime, so the power of 'Hypnosis' was not at maximum. On the other hand, Jynx was able to use both of the moves successfully.

Axel's training advice had come to play. He had told the team to start with status moves anyhow. Status moves would play an important part in the battle.

"Golbat, start with 'shadow ball'"

"Jynx, use 'blizzard'"

Before Globat could even form 'Shadow ball', it was already hit with a massive 'Blizzard'. Due to the effect of hail, 'Blizzard' could be used fast and was more powerful than normal.

'Shadow ball' was a slow move it was not mastered properly. 'Blizzard' was supper effective against a Pokemon like Golbat. Before it could even recover, Jynx had already used 'Calm mind' which raised its Sp. Attk. Lorelai had trained Jynx to be a special attacker.

Lorelai let Golbat recover and used 'Clam mind' again. This was the maximum time that Jynx could use it.

Romero knew that he was going to lose the battle so he wanted to hurt Jynx as much as he can.

"Golbat, use 'Air slash'"

"Jynx, use 'icicle spear'"

This time Golbat was fast as the move 'Air slash' was faster than 'Icicle spear'. The move did hit Jynx and Golbat was able to dodge it. Being confident, Romera said, "Golbat, now use 'Leech life'"

To use 'Leech life' Golbat had to suck the blood of Jynx. So, it had to come in the near vicinity which Jynx was not letting it due to 'Blizzard', 'Rain dance', and 'Hail'.

But now Jynx was hit by 'Air slash', Romero became confident but he had made a wrong move.

"Jynx, 'Ice beam'"

Golbat was directly hit by the super-effective moves again and now it was frozen.

One should imagine the effect of 'Blizzard', 'Rain dance' and 'Hail'. It was raining heavily, chunk of ice were falling down the sky and due to 'Blizzard', it was getting snowy. So, Golbat was frozen.

"Jynx, use 'Rain dance' and 'Hail' again", shouted Lorelai.

"Romero, surrender NOW!!!!"
