Chapter 167: New Partner

"Muhhhhh....."

They knew that they had been found out. All of them took out their Pokemons in rapid secession.

"Damn it Axel!!! What had you led us into.", shouted Ryker.

Axel could feel that only the leader was an elemental rank Pokemon. The rest were uncommon rank and rare ranked. If it was only 1 of them or even 10 of them, then they could make easy work out of it. But the herd consisted of at least 50 Tauros.

The 'Intimidate' ability of almost 50 Tauros decreased the attack of all of the team's Pokemon by many times. They were really in a pinch right now. The herd was already close at this point in time. Lyra and Lorelai had started to pray for their lives. It was such a stressful situation that they forgot to give the signal. The signal was provided by the explorer team which would notify them of danger.

But something amazing happened. The herd of Tauros stopped when it was near the group. They didn't seem to be angry or hostile to the group with surprised them greatly. Slowly, small baby Tauros started to come near the group.

Axel took a step forward. Seeing that the Tauros were still not hostile, he started to take steps one at a time. Everyone was surprised as to what was happening including Axel.

Feeling confident Lance and Ryker also took a step forward. However, the herd of Tauros made some threatening noise enabling both of them to move backward.

It was like they were only letting Axel near their kids. Was Axel some kind of kid magnet?

There were 8 baby Tauros ahead of him. They were very small and cute. Though Tauros didn't have any evolution, when it was just born, it would be small like any baby Pokemon. The 3 tails of baby Tauros were wagging showing their interest in Axel.

"Do you want me to take one of your kids?" asked Axel

One of the Tauros mooed in response. Axel activated his Aura and felt that the Tauros were agreeing with Axel. Axel was suddenly surprised by this development.

First, he dreamed about this place for 3 days where he saw the herd of Tauros. Secondly, every way, trees, bushes, and ponds were the same as he saw in the dream and they reached the place. Thirdly, he saw the exact herd of Tauros and fourthly, the herd of Tauros want him to take one of their kids.

He felt like he was inside a movie where choosing one of the Tauros was his fate. He didn't have any other reasonable explanation. All this uncertainty made him hesitate. He thought about it for some time and decided to choose one of the baby Tauros. Even if any higher beings were in play for this situation, he cannot do anything.

Tauros was one of his favorite Pokemon. It was only a normal type but it was strong with high attack and defense. He started to identify all 8 baby Tauros and found one for his liking.

This Tauros would be the 2nd Pokemon who would have black (monstrous) potential after Charmeleon. Axel thought that it might really be fate and chose it.

The other baby Tauros were disheartened by the fact that they were not chosen. Axel gave them some Pokemon food to make them happy. The mood of other baby Tauros changed drastically after the food. They were babies after all.

The chosen Tauros said goodbye to its parents and the herd. After some tearful goodbyes, the little Tauros came towards Axel and Axel caught it in his Pokeball.

Axel said his goodbye and the team started to walk towards the place in Axel's dream where he found a safe spot. The group was silent for a period of time. No one knew what had happened. The herd of the Tauros didn't attack them, let Axel choose one of its kind, and didn't let any other members do so.

Ryker could not control his curiosity and asked "What the hell was that? Can someone explain to me what really happened?"

"Why don't we ask Axel? He was the one who led us this route" said Lyra. All the heads turned towards him asking for an explaination.

"Actually, I am as clueless as you guys. I don't know why the herd of Tauros was not hostile to me and let me choose one of their kind. Tauros has been on my catching list so I caught it"

"But how do you explain, how you led us to this Tauros and the Tauros let you catch one of their own? This is simply not a normal dude", said Ryker.

"Actually, I have been seeing dreams about this place and the herd of Tauros for the past 3 days. The dream was the same for the past 3 days. I just wanted to try my luck and was lucky I guess"

"Axel that is not normal. You saw a dream about an unknown place and found the same thing.", said Lance.

"I know Lance. But except for calling it luck I don't have any other explanation."
