Chapter 461: Improvement
Chapter 461: Improvement
However, what they didn't know was that their two younger sisters had been taken away by "wolf pups" from the outside world and were already expecting offspring. These developments had happened much faster than the marriages of their elder siblings in the Ecopark.
After delivering the Ice-type Eevee Universal Pokéblock formula to Misaki and Anya at the new store, Yuga hoped they could quickly produce the Pokéblocks. He had named the Ice-type Pokéblocks "Chilly." Once they were made, he sent the Pokéblocks to the old store, where Suzuki Koen and Windy arranged for their sale both in-store and online.
To be honest, the profits from selling Pokémon and Pokémon Eggs in YoYo Day Care were not as high as those from Pokéblocks. Low-quality Pokémon and Pokémon Eggs were relatively inexpensive, but their sales volume couldn't match that of Pokéblocks. Therefore, the profits were far less compared to the Pokéblocks.
While high-quality Pokémon could yield substantial profits, their sales were limited. Additionally, the collaboration between the Pokéblocks and Aroma Day Care and the Sootopolis Gym further solidified the Pokéblocks as the preferred choice.
Especially in collaboration with the Aroma Day Care, it truly made YoYo Day Care earn a substantial profit.
As one of the largest private Day Cares in the Hoenn region, they house a vast number of Pokémon.
After recognizing the advantages of the Vitality Pokéblocks, they switched the food for nearly all Grass-type Pokémon at their headquarters breeding facility to YoYo Day Care's vitality.
Despite the YoYo Day Care's Pokéblocks being of superior quality compared to other premium options on the market, their prices remain competitive. This led Aroma Day Care to prefer YoYo Day Care's Pokéblocks as their top choice.
Note: Other Day Cares weren't like YoYo Day Care. Most of them didn't engage in businesses outside of Pokémon, and companies like Devon were typically responsible for Pokéblocks. YoYo Day Care was somewhat unique in this regard.
The bulk orders from these collaborations brought substantial profits to YoYo Day Care. They accounted for nearly 30% of the entire YoYo Day Care's revenue.
Although the price of one box of Pokéblocks was not as high as that of one Pokémon (referring to low-quality Pokémon), it was by no means as cheap as common household items like tea, rice, oil, and salt.
In the Trainer market, Pokéblocks were akin to cosmetics for women, though not as dispensable. As long as you were a Trainer, they were a necessity.
Therefore, Pokéblocks were also high-profit items, especially in cases like YoYo Day Care where there were virtually no costs except for labor.
So, at present, if YoYo Day Care didn't continue listing new Pokémon, the bulk of its profits would still come from Pokéblocks.
After delivering the Chilly formula to Misaki and the others, Yuga suddenly thought that the Kirlia from Motohara's place might also evolve into a Gardevoir, just like Butler's Kirlia had evolved into a Gardevoir. The Kirlia he received from Motohara had already reached the level at which it could evolve; it just lacked the opportunity. If another unexpected event occurred, and he ended up with another cross-dressing beauty, Yuga wasn't sure he could handle it.
Moreover, this one already had children and a wife. The thought of two Gardevoirs giving birth to a Ralts made Yuga's heart skip a beat.
Although in the wild, two Gardevoirs forming a couple was the norm, Yuga still thought it would be better to have a group of handsome and beautiful Pokémon in his Ecopark.
Originally, Yuga thought it best to allow Kirlia's evolution to proceed gradually, as Kirlia's mental state didn't seem quite stable. However, now it appeared that a gradual approach might lead to an undesirable outcome.
With this in mind, Yuga went ahead and ordered an Awakening Stone online. He intended to use it when the stone arrived to facilitate Kirlia's evolution into Gallade.
As for Kirlia's mental issues, Yuga believed that, following the example of the three Murkrow, if he refrained from intervening and left it to the care of Medidite and the others, things should turn out fine.
Moreover, the situation of Gardevoir, Kirlia, and Ralts as a family had improved significantly compared to when they first arrived at the Ecopark.
They now lived together with Medidite and her group in the main area of the Ecopark, and Yuga visited them daily. After a long period of observation, they had come to realize that Yuga wouldn't harm them. As long as Yuga didn't approach them, they no longer easily experienced emotional breakdowns as they did initially.
This Gardevoir family was exceptionally skilled at sensing emotions, and their extensive emotional trauma from their past had left their psychic abilities damaged, causing them to shut off emotionally. Nevertheless, they could easily determine whether a person or Pokémon was friend or foe.
The League Store was known for its efficiency. Just a day after Yuga ordered the Awakening Stone, it was delivered to YoYo Day Care.
After receiving the stone, Yuga headed to the Ecopark and handed it over to Medidite, who, in turn, gave it to Kirlia.
That's how Yuga watched from a distance as Kirlia smoothly evolved into Gallade, feeling a sense of relief.
Gallade was evidently surprised by his new form and kept holding his wife, Gardevoir's hand, as he tried to confirm his own condition.
Note: Currently, in the Ecopark, there were two Gardevoirs, one male, and one female. The female was Gallade's wife and the mother of Ralts.
Yuga could clearly see the expressions of surprise on both Gardevoir's and Gallade's faces, which were entirely different from their initial bewildered and dazed appearance when they first arrived.
These changes indicated that they were gradually improving. Yuga believed that one day they would become just like ordinary Pokémon, capable of leading a normal life.
Just as Yuga was about to leave, he suddenly noticed that there was a Ralts looking up at him from beneath him. It had one of its fingers in its mouth, a droplet of saliva hanging from its lips, and it stared at Yuga with a blank expression.
Ralts's eyes were concealed beneath the verdant "hood" on its head, so Yuga couldn't make out its expression, but he could sense that it wasn't afraid of him.
Just as Yuga was preparing to squat down and exchange a few words with it, Gardevoir and Gallade hurriedly arrived by Ralts's side with anxious expressions and led Ralts away from Yuga.
Seeing this scene, Yuga felt a sense of disappointment. Even though their situation had improved, they still couldn't accept him.
However, Ralts's condition appeared to be much better than that of its parents, which brought some joy to Yuga.
