Chapter 233: 233: Qin Group, I Want It
“…Is my father… really angry?” She was exonerated, but Jin Lan became the offender.
Even if Jin Lan is now in a vegetative state, free from legal punishment, the fact that no one from the Qin Family showed up when she was released from prison indicated their unwelcome.
“Miss, don’t be absurd. Regardless, you are the daughter of the Qin Family, Mr. Qin still cares about you.” The housekeeper reassures her softly.
“Thank you,” Qin Youxuan flashed a smile at the housekeeper. No matter if his words were true or false, she did not care anymore.
Since the year her mother died, she was accustomed to being an orphan.
Qin Youxuan nodded slightly at the housekeeper, turned around, and walked briskly into the living room.
As she looked up, she met Qin Mo’s eyes looking towards her.
Qin Mo, wearing a dark gray tracksuit, was leaning on the sofa, holding a remote control in his hand.
Qin Youxuan followed the direction of the television. He was watching her release from prison report, which was being replayed.
She had no idea how many times he had watched it, or what he was feeling…
“Dad, I’m back,” Qin Youxuan stepped forward, hesitated for a second before greeting him.
“Good you came back, your mother’s death anniversary is approaching, you’re out in time to mourn for her.” Qin Mo paused, switched off the TV, and stood up from the sofa.
Without uttering another word, he turned and headed to the upstairs room.
“Dad, are you blaming me?”
“You’ve grown up and have become capable of standing on your own. Your mother should be very comforted in the other world.” Qin Mo stopped for a moment, replied lightly, then continued walking without a backward glance.
For the first time, Qin Youxuan heard him mention her mother without raging, standing still on the spot, silently watching Qin Mo’s retreating figure, alone.
When she was about to go back to her room, she saw Jin Chenye descending the stairs with his assistant.
It looked like he had just finished discussing something with his assistant.
Upon seeing Qin Youxuan, he suddenly halted his steps.
They stood less than three meters apart, silently facing each other across the room.
Neither of them spoke for a long time.
“I’ll go outside to start the car first,” noticing something amiss in the atmosphere, the assistant quickly excused himself.
Regaining her composure, Qin Youxuan took a deep breath and made a move towards her room.
However, as she passed by Jin Chenye, he abruptly pulled her hand.
He pulled her so abruptly that she almost fell.
She looked up at him, startled.
“Don’t you have anything to say to me?”
“No.”
“But I do.” Jin Chenye turned his gentle gaze on her, his warm eyes revealed a shade unfamiliar to Qin Youxuan.
“I want the Qin Group,” Jin Chenye looked directly into Qin Youxuan’s eyes. He enunciated each word carefully.
It took Qin Youxuan several seconds to process what he had said.
She shook off his arm, lifted her head, and her defiant eyes challenged him, “I never believed you would let go of the Qin Group. Now, you are finally showing your true colors.”
“Never trusted…is that so? No wonder you were so ruthless,” Jin Chenye mused, his low voice betrayed a hidden pain.
