Chapter 31 Fighting For The Ventilator
When James Floss left, Emilia bit her lips until they were bleeding. She glared at the man whom she had been dreaming of with eyes that were filled with hatred.
From the window, she stared at her daughter who looked extremely weak. She felt so hopeless that her heart broke!
Oliver Walker lowered his head and hated himself even more! Wouldn't it be great if he wasn't injured at all?!
If he wasn't injured, his daughter's life would not have to depend on anyone else!
He really hated being helpless!
The only thing he could do now was clench his fist as his eyes turned red!
'Ringgggg...'
Then, his phone started ringing. When Oliver saw who it was, he immediately turned happy as he answered the call, "You're here?"
There was an old man's voice that came from the other end of the call, "Master, I'm right downstairs!"
Oliver frowned instead and said after a minute or two, "Don't go anywhere, and wait for me to call you."
If he allowed his apprentice to be here without Emilia agreeing to it, things might go wrong.
Although he knew that there was a mutation, he still had no idea that Olivia's condition had drastically deteriorated to the point her life was endangered because of how the staff from the hospital were hiding it from them.
Plus, they had just completed the surgery for Olivia. Even if they found a matching bone marrow, they wouldn't be able to do the surgery immediately.
He would have to use this period of time to convince Emilia.
But, he knew that Emilia had a prejudice against him, and he needed a chance to explain himself.
Where would he be able to find the opportunity?
"Sure!"
As the godly doctor of the country, no one in the world would dare to ask Hendric Smith to wait.
But now, he was waiting downstairs respectfully so that he could reach the room as quickly as possible once he got called.
At the same time, back at the Blue Sea Entertainment Club!
"Mr. Johnson, I have already done everything as you've told me!"
Mike White was feeling proud of himself as he said, "In entire Colorado, there isn't a single ventilator that is available. That little sh*t, Olivia Walker, will be dead soon!"
George Johnson stood up while feeling excited, and he could no longer hide the smile on his face.
"That's the way. She can only marry me without anyone else.
"Hahahahah…..
"But, if I remember clearly, you did not send anyone to the First Hospital?"
Mike White felt awkward after being asked, and he slowly replied, "If there is a ventilator available at the hospital, why would they need to get one from other hospitals?"
George Johnson thought about it before nodding his head, "You're right!
"Hahahahahah..."
"Boys, come along with me. I want to see how hopeless and desperate the useless bastard must look right now!"
Trying to take his woman away from him?
What a joke!
What a f*cking joke!
At the First Hospital!
"Quick!
"Move aside!
"Move!!!"
"..."
James Floss was feeling anxious as he led the group. He chased people away from the corridor.
In order to prevent any more accidents from happening to the ventilators, there was about a dozen medical staff who were carefully protecting the ventilator.
This ventilator wasn't only going to save Olivia's life, but it was also going to save the First Hospital's life!
Therefore, there would be no mishaps allowed here!
When Emilia and Oliver saw the medical staff walking toward them, both of them quickly moved out of the way.
Emilia was aware that every minute and every second was important for their daughter!
When the doctors entered the room, there was soon an old woman with a head full of white hair, who looked like she was in her seventies.
Her name was Laila Lee, and her face was filled with tears as she screamed desperately, "Are the rich ones only allowed to live?!
"And poor people like us don't?
"I beg you! My son was the one who used the ventilator first!
"He is the breadwinner of the family! If anything were to happen to him, my entire family will starve to death!
"All of us will starve to death!
"You can't be so cruel!"
