Chapter 125 - 125: 116: Truly Testing My Daoist Heart
“Continue!”
With a smile on his face, Feng Qing’an fell backward in front of the somewhat surprised leader of You Huang Ghost Country, immediately falling unconscious.
The leader of You Huang Ghost Country checked on Feng Qing’an’s condition to avoid any irregularities. She couldn’t withstand any more surprises, her Immortal Bell companion had also reached its limit.
However, she quickly noticed an unusual transformation occurring on Feng Qing’an. She leaned closer instinctively, trying to get a clearer look at the anomaly.
However, as she bent lower and her face approached Feng Qing’an, close enough to feel his warm breath, she abruptly stopped,
“So that’s it!”
She stood up, having realized what the transformation Feng Qing’an was undergoing. It couldn’t have been more obvious,
“No wonder he asked me not to go overboard!”
The leader of You Huang Ghost Country originally thought Feng Qing’an was belittling her abilities. But now, looking at the young man lying unconscious on the bed, who was at her complete mercy, a rush of emotions overwhelmed her.
“I can do anything, as long as it’s not too much!”
The radiant woman, her demeanor gracious and aloof like the ice moon, mused with a glint in her eyes.
During regular interactions with Feng Qing’an, she was always concerned about her younger sister Nan Ge, her status as the country’s leader, her follower Dead Phoenix, and even Feng Qing’an’s opinion of her and her own feelings towards him. She had too many factors to consider.
But now, it was just her and Feng Qing’an in the room. Nan Ge had been taken away by Dead Phoenix, and Youyou wasn’t likely to return to the mortal world for a while, and no cultivators would dare to venture nearby because of the impending disaster.
Thus, at this moment, for the first time since they met, Feng Qing’an and she were truly alone. She had no need to worry about her sister or Youyou’s sudden arrival, and there were no disturbances to fear.
Even Feng Qing’an was now unconscious. Until he woke up, she was free to do as she pleased without any constraint.
Just within reasonable limits!
With this thought, she leaned over him again. This time with determination and no hesitation. Her graceful figure elegantly settled down next to him. “Feng Qing’an, you brought this on yourself. You approved of my actions!”
From a close range, she scrutinized his face, thinking about his past life as Immortal Monarch Chun Yang, capable of summoning storms with a gesture, of causing the heavens and the earth to change color, of effortlessly manipulating the cosmos. The allure was increasingly hard to resist. The leader of You Huang Ghost Country could no longer hold back.
Awoken by the crowing of a distant rooster, Feng Qing’an drowsily opened his eyes to a warm, soft feeling.
Before he could comprehend the enchanting sensation surrounding him, he felt her presence vanish. A blur of white flashed before his eyes and disappeared out of the room, leaving only a faint and delightful fragrance lingering around him.
“You Huang?!”
Feng Qing’an’s mind snapped to attention as he tried to piece together what had just happened – his state until now and the source of the soft sensation.
“What did she do to me?”
His mind was in torment, intense curiosity kept him restless. He couldn’t help but wonder,
“Why can’t I remain conscious during the transformation of the Supreme Body of Ten Thousand Spirits? Even if I can’t move, at least retaining the sense of touch would be faithful!”
Feng Qing’an was full of regret, feeling like he missed out on a lot the previous night.
After all, You Huang was a true ruler, a queen, commanding her own kingdom with loyal subjects, an army ready to fight for her, numerous powerful ghosts, menacing Dead Things following her, all out of reverence.
His interaction with such a queen left him with no memory of the experience, just a fleeting sensation.
“Goddamn rooster, must be stewed for this sin!”
He muttered. If the rooster hadn’t roused him, he might have woken up gradually, possibly experiencing things in a more fulfilling way. You Huang wouldn’t have been startled and hastily departed.
“Almost forgot, that rooster already got taken away!”
The next moment, Feng Qing’an remembered the rooster had been taken away to the underworld. The crowing that woke him must have been from a village rooster.
“Need water!”
His mouth was incredibly dry, not even saliva was left. His lips even felt a pricking pain.
“No wonder they are sisters!”
Feng Qing’an remained calm. He got up, filled buckets of water from the well. Even though his physique had become more robust, he still needed to boil the water for drinking.
While Feng Qing’an was refreshing himself, Nan Ge, anxiously waiting in the underworld, finally saw her sister’s familiar silhouette.
“Sister, is Feng Qing’an okay!?”
The young girl looked up at her sister, desperately asking about Feng Qing’an’s condition.
“Are you worried about Feng Qing’an that much? Don’t you care about me at
You Huang sighed at her sister’s words, knowing that her once sweet and clever sister who only cared about her was no longer the same.
“Why would I ask about you, sister? Aren’t you standing right in front of me?”
Nan Ge blinked, looking at her sister puzzled. She sensed that something might be wrong with her sister, but since she had returned, Nan Ge assumed that the problem couldn’t be that serious..
