Chapter 363: Didn’t Expect to Educate a Simple and Sweet Baby
Rong Yan was baffled by his clear-cut capitalist theories. It took her a while to manage a response, “But isn’t sharing among friends what you’re supposed to do?”
Li Duidui’s innocent eyes, identical to someone else’s, blinked at her as she faced him. His eyes were bright and sparkly, “I did share, though. I gave Rabbit a carrot, doesn’t that count as sharing?”
Rong Yan,
It does!
The problem was, after sharing, he was thinking about how to exploit the laborer!
She couldn’t quite point out what was wrong with this kind of sharing on the spot.
Because he definitely shared generously with Rabbit, but after Rabbit ate his carrot, it could only be his rabbit from then on.
“…It’s not that it doesn’t count.”
When Li Duidui heard her agree, he contentedly pulled the blanket over himself, grabbed the blanket with his hand, closed his eyes, and said, “Mommy, good night!”
Rong Yan originally wanted to engage in a more profound discussion with him about the spirit of selfless dedication, but before she found the opportunity, the little fellow’s breathing had already become slow and even.
She helplessly watched the angelic sleeping face beside her, swallowing back all the words she had been about to say.
Forget it, she didn’t intend to raise her Duidui into a naive sweetie anyway. Little Baby was already smart and, because of his father’s identity, was destined for an extraordinary status in the future. His future entourage would surely include some with ulterior motives—she would rather have her Little Baby be a cunning Baby than see her Duidui suffer losses in the future.
Who says selfless dedication is right?
Isn’t she a living example?
People who genuinely care for you won’t mind how much you have given.
To those who are insincere, no matter how much you give, you will still be the most selfish and cold-hearted one in their eyes!
Better to just be yourself.
Rong Yan lowered her head and gently kissed the forehead of the sleeping person, her gaze suddenly softened, and she whispered, “Good night, Duidui.”
After she finished speaking, she quietly withdrew her arm from under the pillow. Then, she tucked the little one in again, got up, and tiptoed out of the room.
She had been busy all evening and had not yet taken a bath.
At the very least, she needed to take a bath and freshen up before going to sleep.
Otherwise, waking up sticky all over the next morning would be terribly uncomfortable.
Rong Yan quietly closed the bedroom door, and only after ensuring the door was shut did she relax her shoulders. As she turned to head to the bathroom, her nose collided with a powerful chest!
With a ‘bang,’ Rong Yan took a direct hit, her nose stinging so badly that she nearly cried. Holding her nose with one hand, she looked up at the man who had been standing at the doorway, unbeknownst to her when he had arrived, “Li Shengxiao?”
How long had he been standing there?
At this hour, even if he wasn’t resting, he ought to be busy in the study; why was he here?
Could it be that he was waiting for her?
Before Rong Yan’s mind could catch up, her wrist had been assertively grasped by the towering man, and the deep sound of his voice, richer than a cello, sounded in her ear, “Come with me!”
“Where to?” She was startled into a stagger, and had he not firmly grasped her hand, she would have fallen.
Li Shengxiao saw her nearly stumble and frowned, dominantly wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her into the protection of his embrace. The intense scent of his masculine hormones enveloped her, trapping Rong Yan in the middle, “I’m taking you to see something.”
What something?
Rong Yan blinked and, gazing out at the pitch-black night outside the window, said, “It’s quite late, I’d like to rest early. Can we go see it tomorrow?”
“It’s on the rooftop.” The domineering man held onto her wrist, showing no intention of letting go. He was so assertive, as if he wanted to shield her at the very center of his heart!
