Chapter 200 - 200 Engineering Drawings (Additional 1650 monthly tickets)
Blueprint: Simple Repair Robot
Use: Teaches you how to craft the Simple Repair Robot.
Simple Repair Robot: Can repair epic and below epic-grade equipment.
Usage: Intermediate Engineering: Proficiency 1350
Note: A new era innovation from gnome technology, specifically designed for beginners.
“Good stuff. I’m not going to be shy about taking it.” Li Yao smiled and assigned the Simple Repair Robot to himself and then started studying it.
“Good stuff it may be, but it’s not irreplaceable,” Boundless Sky said, shaking his head. Clearly, he didn’t think much of the item.
“It has its uses,” Li Yao paused for a moment before speaking out, “Don’t forget, I play as a Mechanical Hunter. The attributes that I see might be slightly different from what you guys see.”
“What’s the difference, can it function beyond its specifications when you craft it?” Guardian Angel asked with curiosity.
“Simple, I can see an additional attribute. That is, a robot crafted by me can provide a buff to my mechanical items,” Li Yao explained.
“What kind of buff?” Boundless Sky asked out of curiosity.
“It does not specify, but I think it probably strengthens some areas. Perhaps it could enhance the fighting power of my Firehawk or something,” Li Yao shrugged and replied.
Boundless Sky did not comment, but raised his middle finger. Although he doesn’t know the exact specification of the Firehawk, seeing it possess an attack power stronger than Li Yao’s already insane abilities, he could only guess that it was a boss-tier item. Now with even more buffs coming in, it’s almost as if other classes in the game had no chance to shine.
Li Yao had an idea about the potential buff capabilities; there were only a few types of buffs, after all.
Wind Fury: Attack twice during the time of a single attack.
Holy Shield: A Holy Light Shield that lasts for five seconds and can resist any form of attack.
Taunt: Taunt the target’s attack, armor is increased by 50% for five seconds.
However, the actual frequency of the robot releasing a buff and the specific mechanism can only be discovered after crafting the product.
“Hurry up, is there anymore?” Li Yao exclaimed.
“There’s one more item.” Pupil Pupil once again displayed the properties of another item.
Then, a gemstone bag appeared.
“Pupil Pupil, your butt must be itching again.” Boundless Sky was initially holding out hope for a big sword for himself, but upon seeing the inevitable gemstone bag, he immediately felt deflated.
Hahaha…
Li Yao put three gold coins and a gemstone bag into his backpack and said: “Alright, we’ve been doing this for quite a while. Everyone’s tired, let’s call it a day.”
“What about the guild business?” Guardian Angel asked.
“We’ll do it in the afternoon game time. We will form the guild then. Let’s rest up for now; we can’t rush these things.” Li Yao suggested as he used his hearthstone to teleport back to the Undercity.
“Thanks, Brother Prairie Fire.” Boundless Sky bid his farewell and also started teleporting back to the city using his hearthstone.
Everyone said their goodbyes and went back to their city.
Li Yao stepped out from the inn, slowly strolling down the streets of the Undercity, reminiscing the feeling of having a mount.
However, his current level was too low, and he lacked sufficient military contribution points, making it nearly impossible to obtain a mount.
Now that he’s learned engineering, Li Yao fantasized about crafting a mechanical road bully or a mechanical tank, preferably an intelligent one that didn’t require him to steer. That would be way more comfortable compared to a standard mount.
With these thoughts, Li Yao made his way towards the Royal District.
Having accomplished the first trial and successfully completed the elite mission, it was time to become a true elite player. As an elite player, all attributes would be substantially enhanced.
Of course, there’s a downside as well. Killing regular mobs would hardly yield any experience now and the drops from regular mobs would be significantly reduced, in other words.
Becoming an elite player equals having insane stats, but also means that you become immune to regular mobs.
Furthermore, after becoming an elite, farming regular dungeons carries no benefit, and the rewards from elite dungeons would be halved. Only master-level dungeons would yield actual rewards.
In his past life, many players thought they would be invincible after becoming elites, only to realize that they could comprehend nothing but the master mode dungeons. Consequently, they suffered devastating defeats.
Elite mode only marginally increased certain attributes and wasn’t anything game-breaking.
After finishing the elite mission, Li Yao had to stick around the auction house for hours, and then finally start working on engineering to craft the repair robot. He was still short on proficiency and needed more practice.
He had to form the guild in the afternoon, handle the guild operations. Plus, he still hadn’t gotten the blueprint he wanted before the carnival.
As soon as he thought about these, Li Yao suddenly realized that he had too many things to busy himself with.
“Boss, Are you there?” Suddenly, a message came in.
“Hmm?” Li Yao replied.
“Cough, it’s like this, when do I start working?” A weak voice from Candy Candy slipped into Li Yao’s ears.
It was then Li Yao remembered that he seemed to have hired a worker.
“Have you reached Intermediate level in engineering?”
“Yeah, I stayed up all night and pushed my engineering skills to intermediate level. Also, I’ve paid up the debt for the guild,” replied Candy Candy. “It turns out you were right, boss. They were the bad guys. They tried to con me into accruing more interest, but Gold Coin sister sorted it all out. She directly contacted the cyber police and my problem was resolved.”
“Well, I’m glad that everything worked out. I’ll give you a few blueprints. Once you learn them, you can help me create some ammunition and stuff every day. Once you’ve reached the work quota I have set for you, then you’re free to do whatever you want,” Li Yao continued, “Where are you?”
“Ah, I don’t know… The place is so big and complex here. I seem to have lost my way. Gold Coin Sister is not around, and I…” Candy Candy’s voice shrank back as she nervously responded.
Unbelievable!
Li Yao was stunned, “Let me form a party with you.”
Li Yao partied up with Candy Candy and discovered the poor girl managed to venture into the heart of Undercity where few people ever tread – the territory of the Pharmacist’s Association.
“You didn’t think of me until you got completely lost, did you?”
“Err…” Candy Candy lowered her head, looking much like a child who messed up something.
“You don’t need to be nervous, I didn’t mean anything by it. You can actually ask the guards for directions, you know.”
“They looked quite fierce, I didn’t dare ask them for directions.” Li Yao saw that the guards were a massive, hideous fusion of different corpses, releasing the pungent smell of potions and decay.
“Okay, I’ll take you to the engineering place first. My proficiency isn’t high enough anyways, so, I need to practice a bit more.” Li Yao took Candy Candy to the area where engineering was practiced.
“For now, help me by crafting bullets, ammo, and Exploding Sheep. These are the blueprints. I have sent you the daily quantity as well,” Li Yao handed over the blueprints through trading.
“Don’t worry, boss, I will definitely complete your tasks.” After receiving and learning the blueprints, Candy Candy began crafting using the materials supplied by Li Yao.
Li Yao noticed that Candy Candy’s demeanor changed instantly. She was no longer the naive and innocent girl from before, instead she showed a sense of efficiency and carefulness not one detail was overlooked.
Li Yao nodded his head. Although this employee might be a bit ditzy, she was worth nurturing.
Li Yao also found an engineering station and began practicing his engineering skills, he still needed over a hundred proficiency points before he could learn how to create the repair robot…
PS: It’s definitely tough to be the author, I’ll try hard to churn out another chapter, looking for support…
