Chapter 127: Sound of death

Just as Rona was lost in the magical moment, she heard Ayra\'s familiar voice approaching from behind. "Rona, what a sight! I can\'t believe we are looking at something amazing like this?" Ayra\'s eyes sparkled with curiosity as she walked over, holding her adorable daughter Guni in her arms.

Both of them hadn\'t forgotten what they witnessed in their first significant battle against Moga. Despite knowing that Garo is of the same type as the giant lizard-like creature that attacked them, they still harboured some doubts in their minds.

Rona grinned, nodding enthusiastically. "Yes, it is! I never thought we would shelter something like this. It\'s amazing!" She gestured towards Maro and the tiny dinosaur, who seemed to be forming an unlikely bond.

Ayra chuckled, watching the heartwarming scene unfold. "It truly is incredible. Nature has its own way of surprising us. How\'s everything on your end, though?"

Rona\'s smile faltered slightly as concern crept into Ayra\'s question. She quickly got up and faced Ayra, a mixture of excitement and worry on her face.

"Nothing much. Everything has been going rather smoothly and that\'s exactly why I can\'t relax. I feel like something is going to happen, but it might be my imagination," She muttered while sending her hand to caress the baby, who was sleeping in her mother\'s embrace.

Ayra\'s eyes softened as she observed the mix of emotions playing on Rona\'s face. "You\'re right, Rona. We\'ve been through a lot, and it\'s only natural to be on edge. But sometimes, we just need to savour these beautiful moments," she said, her voice carrying a soothing tone.

Rona met Ayra\'s gaze, a grateful smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, you\'re right. I guess I just can\'t shake off the feeling that things might take a turn for the worse. I can\'t imagine how much pressure Garnt is holding because he needs to take care of all of us."

Ayra reached out, placing a reassuring hand on Rona\'s shoulder. "We\'ve got each other\'s backs, Rona. And look at this," she gestured toward the adorable spectacle before them, "life finds a way to surprise us, even in the midst of uncertainty."

Rona\'s gaze returned to the Guni, her eyes reflecting a mixture of emotions. Just then, Ayra noticed the faintest trace of a smile tugging at the corners of Rona\'s lips. Ayra\'s curiosity got the better of her, and with a mischievous glint in her eyes, she asked, "What\'s going on in that head of yours, Rona?"

Rona\'s eyes widened, and a sheepish grin spread across her face. "Well, I was just thinking... would you like me to hold Guni?" she asked, gesturing towards Ayra\'s adorable daughter.

Ayra\'s eyes lit up with surprise and delight. "Is that even a question? You\'re one of her mothers, so of course. She is our daughter." she teased, a playful smile dancing on her lips.

Rona nodded eagerly. "Ayra! I will protect both of you forever," she replied, her hands already reaching out to gently take Guni from Ayra\'s arms.

As Ayra carefully transferred the sleeping baby into Rona\'s embrace, Guni stirred slightly, blinking her tiny eyes open for a moment before settling back into a peaceful slumber. Ayra watched with a mixture of amusement and warmth as Rona\'s eyes widened in astonishment.

"I thought she would cry or something, but she\'s just... so calm," Rona whispered, her voice filled with awe.

Ayra chuckled softly. "Babies have a way of sensing good vibes. You\'re a natural, Rona. But I think it\'s mainly because we have Garnt\'s warmth in our bodies. She is rather attached to him."

Rona\'s tough exterior seemed to crumble in the presence of the sleeping baby, and a gentle smile replaced her usual fierce expression. "I can\'t handle this level of cuteness," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ayra laughed, the sound echoing through the clearing. "Welcome to the world of baby miracles, Rona. It\'s a whole new adventure." She said those words and continued. "I\'m waiting to see our family expand more, and I think the time will come for you soon. So be ready,"

Rona looked at her own belly and smiled, knowing exactly what Ayra was talking about. However, as they were peacefully conversing, hoping that things would stay that way forever, they suddenly heard the sound of something attempting to break through their wooden walls, constructed from the strongest wood available in the forest.

*Boom *Boom

"What was that?" Ayra questioned, as she quickly looked at the source of the sound.

"Is it another bull or bear? It sounds much more fierce and intense than before," Rona muttered, knowing it wasn\'t entirely strange for them to have some kind of wild animal knocking on their doors, trying to break in. "I will go and take a look. You should go and allow our baby to sleep without letting anything disturb her,"

Ayra wasn\'t confident about leaving Rona all alone, but she knew waking up Guni to the horror of wild animals would be the worst, so she took the baby and went back to the hut so she could keep her and come back to help Rona.

Meanwhile, Rona approached the wall cautiously, her steps heavy and fast on the forest floor. The distant thuds echoed through the air, and as she neared the source, she could hear the muffled voices of the hunters desperately trying to ward off the intruder.

*Thud *Thud

"What in the world is going on?" Rona muttered to herself, narrowing her eyes as she reached the edge of the clearing. The sight before her was both unexpected and bizarre.

What she expected to see was a bear or bull trying to break the wall, but instead, he saw a naked, muscular woman was scaling the walls of their wooden fortress, her powerful arms gripping the edges and causing some of the pillars to collapse under her weight.

"Hurry up! Get her out of here!" one of the hunters shouted, jabbing at the intruder with a spear. The woman growled in response, her movements agile despite the assault.

Rona\'s brow furrowed in confusion. "What kind of creature is this? Is this a human like us" she wondered aloud, realizing that the situation was far from the usual encounters with wildlife. She unsheathed her own spear, ready to join the fray.

As she approached, she caught the eye of a hunter struggling to keep the intruder at bay. "Help us, For some reason, no matter how much we attack she won\'t go down.!" he pleaded, sweat glistening on his forehead.

Rona nodded, taking a deep breath. "Alright, here goes nothing."

With a swift motion, she thrust her spear toward the intruder, aiming to push her away from the wall. The woman turned her attention to Rona, her eyes wild and fearless. The confrontation continued, the wooden walls shaking with each impact. Rona worried that the walls might break before they could finish with this unknown woman. However, the hands of the muscular woman slipped, and she fell back, creating a huge noise.

After everything that happened, Rona scanned the now quiet clearing, her spear at the ready. The mysterious woman had vanished, leaving the villagers bewildered and on edge.

"Where did she go?" one of the hunters asked, panting heavily.

"I don\'t know, but we need to find her before she causes more trouble," Rona replied, her eyes darting around. "Spread out and search the perimeter. And be cautious, she\'s not like any wildlife we\'ve encountered before."

As the hunters dispersed, Rona took a moment to examine the area. The wooden fortress showed signs of the recent struggle, with broken pillars and splintered wood scattered about. She frowned, realizing that if this creature could scale their walls so effortlessly, it might return.

Deciding to take a closer look outside the village, Rona cautiously stepped beyond the wooden barriers. She expected to find the intruder lying injured, defeated by the combined efforts of the hunters. Instead, she discovered an empty clearing, save for a few drops of blood on the ground.

"No way she just disappeared," Rona muttered to herself, kneeling to inspect the blood. "She must have escaped, injured but alive."

A chill ran down her spine as she considered the implications. This wasn\'t some ordinary threat; it was a creature with strength and agility beyond what they knew. Rona quickly made her way back to the village, her thoughts racing.

Entering the village, she sought out other important figures and decided to let Garnt know about what had happened, as it was a matter of priority.
