Chapter 158: Bloodline Limit
"Buzz!"
Originally, Tyrion had thought that this upgrade would be a piece of cake too.
Instantly it was as though the gate to the underworld had been torn open wide!
The sea of Devil Qi had formed a giant whirlpool, of about ten meters radius.
By the time the Devil Qi reached Tyrion's body, it had congealed into liquid form, forming dew drops that covered Tyrion's skin before being absorbed into his body swiftly.
The entire training tremored. Gusts of Devil Qi howled as they flew about around Tyrion.
Tyrion now felt no pain in his body. It was a completely different experience from before. However, he felt as though his soul was being ripped apart.
Tyrion's face scrunched up in pain, looking down and gazing at the sea of black fog gushing into his body. Then, as he watched his own body, he noticed an extraordinary transformation happening to it.
"THIS IS…??!"
As the layer of black vein grew till it covered his entire body, Tyrion began to feel as if his consciousness was being pulled back into his body.
He looked at the status screen again.
The newly appeared content on the screen left him gaping dumbly.
'Hellfire Primal Devilborn Method: Level Nine. Special Effect(s): Black Trait—Single Vein, Hell Fire Intent—Embryonic Form.'
"It's actually a Blood line limit!!?"
Tyrion was dumbfounded.
He had met heard of many talented students his age becoming a Demonic warrior. All of them, without exception, possessed something in common, Traits!
This was the fundamental reason behind the power of every being—the watershed between them and mortals.
No matter what, on talented individual without Trait could ever surpass other with traits. This was a law. An iron law.
Moreover, Bloodline limits are formed from ones genetic structure and nurtured heavily with numerous resources by influencial families, organizations and academies, causing them to evolve, and then passed down through the generations.
In top ranked Families, everyone knew that they were all born with Bloodline limit. As long as the Noble Family's bloodline flowing in one's veins was thick enough, one would be born with Bloodline limit. But nobody knew how on Bloodline limit had started.
But now, Tyrion had witnessed the birth of Bloodline limit with his own eyes.
'So condensing massive volumes of Devil Qi, and add to that a secret art that tempers and stimulates the physical body like the Hellfire Primal Devilborn Method cultivated to its pinnacle… this would produce Bloodline limit…?'
Tyrion found it incredible.
'No. This isn't bloodline limit, strictly speaking. It merely looks very much like it in form. This is an ability formed by the malicious energy and Hellfire Primal Devilborn Method!'
All of a sudden, he discovered the difference between them.
Bloodline limit was an invisible power that originated from deep within the bloodline that flowed in and out of the body. But this supposed 'Bloodline limit' merely appeared on the surface of the skin. It was not integrated into the depths of his bones and bloodline. It merely looked alike on the surface.
Once he realized this, Tyrion heaved a sigh of relief. Or perhaps it was disappointment… he was not sure.
'But it works as well for me. I can easily use this stuff to claim a Bloodline limit. This way, I won't have to worry about getting my identity exposed in the future. At least, it looks like the real deal… even its aura feels like the real deal.'
Tyrion went on to look at the second special effect. Because he had attained the pinnacle mastery of Hellfire Primal Devilborn Method—Level Nine, it was inevitable for another special effect to appear.
'Devil Intent—Embryonic Form.'
Tyrion gazed at this special effect for a moment. Suddenly, he exerted his will.
"Swish!!"
Without warning, a blurry translucent stream of fire was congealed out of the black fog around him.
Like a fish, the arm-wide stream of fire swam at high speed around Tyrion, emitting a faint eccentric howl every now and then, as if somebody was whispering and mumbling softly beside the ear.
Subconsciously, it threw one into a state of confusion and frustration, filling one with the urge to turn aggressive and violent.
'So this is the embryonic form of hellfire when it's congealed together…' Tyrion scrutinized this stream of energy encircling him. Faintly, he spotted a human face at the top of the stream of fire —his face.
It made it look like a translucent fish with his face on it. A bizarre sight indeed.
'According to the book, this hell fire is not really a stream of fire. Rather, it's one's worldly thoughts and desires cut away from oneself and congealed into matter. They could only be either released or kept, not controlled.
Without extraordinary will power those who lay sight on it would be contaminated. Worldly thoughts and intentions would be induced within his mind, causing him to lose his mind. When used against an opponent of the same league, it was a weapon which could disrupt his or her emotions and judgment. At the same time, it was an essential method that would be used in a subsequent skill.'
Information about it appeared in Tyrion's mind.
Within another hour, Tyrion had lit up ten of. Primordial cells, increasing his strength even further.
He could feel his body getting heavier and every cell in his body seem to contain the power to shatter the skies.
He didn't exactly feel the strength increase, but he knew that once he included the primordial cells into his body and attacks, his strength would increase drastically.
In simple term, Tyrion's body contained genes, making up the cells of his body. Once he attacks, his bodily cells would react, squeezing out energy from them to the attack.
However, the primordial cells are like dead cells within him and will remain so until Tyrion wished to use them.
In layman terms, it was like using your fist to attack when you have a sledge hammer inside of you.
However, with the extreme amount of devil Qi present, Tyrion's body corroded at a rapid rate, almost rivaling his speed of regeneration.
Reluctantly, Tyrion stopped and allowed himself to heal.
It was then he faced the other techniques in his statues.
