Chapter 140: Patent
So, after recording a video of Tyrion personally cultivating an enhanced Atomic Serum, listing the ingredients, and completing a research paper, the whole application was completed in less than half a day! Most importantly, the enhanced Atomic Serum was already an end product, so it was much more convincing than any mere report or ingredients list alone.
"I'll bring the end product back to the guild for vetting! I believe that the patent application will be approved soon!" Groode said.
Tyrion nodded.
"Mr. Tyrion, will you be selling these leftover enhanced Atomic Serums?" Briston asked with a smile, seeing a unique business opportunity!
Out of all of the places in Blue Swirl, only Tronic mall had the enhanced Atomic Serums for sale now, so if they could promote and sell them sooner than the others, it would bring them fame and unimaginable profits!
It could even let the obscure Tronic mall show its face to the whole of Blue Swirl's population, the effects of which would be similar to a free advertisement, but much more effective than hiring an expensive top brand ambassador!
As of now, Tyrion had already cultivated 15 bottles of enhanced Atomic Serums, plus the four bottles that he had brought over initially. Even though one bottle was sold, there were still three bottles left. So, he had a total of 18 bottles of enhanced Atomic Serums.
If he were to just consign them simply, he would not be able to maximize the profits.
"How will you handle these serums, Briston?" Tyrion asked.
"The 18 bottles of enhanced Atomic Serums? We intend to auction them online, a bottle a day, continuously, for 18 days," Briston said seriously. "But, of course, we hope to continue doing business with Mr. Tyrion long into the future."
A bottle a day continuously for 18 days would be akin to free advertising for Tronic mall worldwide for 18 days. That would definitely create quite an uproar in Death Gate City and beyond! Be it big corporations or powerful beings, they'd all notice Tronic Group, then!
Tyrion obviously hoped that the enhanced Atomic Serums would bring huge profits, and he could also see the benefits that these serums would bring for Tronic mall.
"Your proposal is not bad, but if I were to only get the profits from the auction, wouldn't it be too advantageous to Tronic mall? Kind of unevenly?" Tyrion smiled and said.
Briston's expression changed, but he smiled and said, "During this auction, our Group shall not require any fees to be paid, and on top of that, we would be willing to pay you a huge sum as the endorsement fee. However, this expenditure can only be decided after discussing it with the board of directors."
This was a huge matter that was going to cause a sensation around the city, after all. As such, he could not make a decision just by himself.
Tyrion nodded and said, "It's decided then. I look forward to working with you."
Briston smiled, elated. He then reached out his hand to shake Tyrion's and said, "We look forward to working with you, but, what about continuing business in the future?"
"Let's talk about that after the auction is over," Tyrion smiled and said.
Briston scolded Tyrion for being as clever as a fox in his heart, but still signed the contract with him, a smile on his face. In the contract, another line was added, stating that Tronic mall would pay 100 million death points as a temporary deposit.
Groode was observing from the side and could not help but be secretly impressed by Tyrion's intelligence. After 18 consecutive days of online auctioning, Tronic Group's reputation was bound to reverberate across the entire Blue Swirl realm. However, the benefits to the Tronic group were nothing compared to those that Tyrion received.
By then, the entire planet would be aware that Tyrion was the creator of the new era's product, the enhanced Atomic Serum. At that time, Tyrion would be highly sought-after by countless big companies and big consortiums, all wanting to work with him.
They would be presenting Tyrion with countless money and treasures, begging him to choose them. The Masa Group paled in comparison to the big conglomerates, which could greatly affect the entire city l. Whether he decided to work with the Masa Group or not, would depend on Tyrion's mood. During this time, the Tronic Group would worship Tyrion and do everything possible to please him.
"Mr. Tyrion, do you wish to be a certified pharmacist?" Groode suddenly asked.
"What do you mean by that?" Tyrion asked.
"There is an upcoming certification examination being conducted by the Pharmacists Guild. Becoming a certified Chemist brings with it numerous benefits and a superior status," Groode explained.
By observing Tyrion's experiments, Groode felt that Tyrion must have studied pharmaceutics for years, but was yet to become officially certified. Groode speculated that Tyrion just wanted to concentrate on refining serum as an anonymous pharmacist, and thus had not applied for certification. This was why Groode had asked the probing question.
"What are the other benefits of becoming a certified pharmacist?" Tyrion asked.
"Once you are certified by the Pharmacists Guild, in addition to being able to apply for funding, you can obtain the formulas of publicly available serums. Once the Chemist makes a significant amount of contributions or achieves a significant grade, he would then have access to the formulas of serums which are inaccessible to the public.
Pharmacists conduct knowledge sharing sessions among them on a regular basis," Groode said in a serious manner. "There are also experienced pharmacists, who teach in public. All these benefits are only for pharmacists who are serious..."
Tyrion was startled, but his brain quickly went into overdrive as he thought of the benefit.
"By joining the Chemist Guild, I can access a lot of information on pharmaceutics manuals. I could build a higher serums. At the same time, I could improve and memories, or even upgrade it,"
"I have decided to take the F grade Chemist certification," said Tyrion.
"Really? That's great!" said Groode, pleasantly surprised. "I will write you a letter of recommendation now. You can take my letter and go straight to sit for the certification examination."
To qualify for the Chemist certification examination, one would need to pass tests, such as the Junior Apprenticeship Certificate, the Intermediate Apprenticeship Certificate, and the Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate, as well as other professional tests. However, with Groode's letter of recommendation, Tyrion was able to skip all those steps and take the certification examination directly.
Though the letter of recommendation would guarantee him a place in the certification examination, he still had to have the capability to be recognized by the pharmacists. Groode saw how capable Tyrion was and believed that Tyrion was a rare talent, thus strongly recommending him.
