Chapter 706: Because Si Fuqing Is Homeward Deer (3)
Yu Tang covered her mouth, no longer waiting for a car. Instead, she quickly unlocked a shared bicycle and pedaled towards her destination with urgency.
She could hardly wait to be close to Qingqing.
At the Deity Voice Studio.
“I’ll partner with Little Deer,” Director assigned tasks, “Mighty Dark, you join Serene Delight and Upon Brocade. Although we’ve already screened a batch of candidates, the requirements for the second round of interviews are higher.”
Mighty Dark muttered, “Why should I meddle in a couple’s affair?”
“Sigh, we’re short one person, just bear with it and be the third wheel,” Director comforted, “You are a giant lightbulb, others can’t even play that role.”
Outside the studio, a number of applicants had arrived for the interview.
Upon seeing Ding Wanwan, the other candidates became alert.
Ding Wanwan, with her modest fame in the CV circle and as a student at Great Xia University, boasted a high academic standing and a significant following on social media.
This time, Deity Voice only needed three new members.
Ding Wanwan had already secured one of the spots.
She sat on the sofa waiting.
The elevator dinged, and the doors opened. Yu Tang, out of breath, stepped out.
Just as she was about to ask which room Si Fuqing was in, Ding Wanwan caught sight of her and scoffed.
“Who did I think it was,” Ding Wanwan said with a mocking tone, “I asked if you wanted an autograph, and you ignored me. Not only that, but you followed me here? Trying to mimic someone? Do you even know how to do voiceovers?”
Yu Tang’s expression turned cold, but before she could speak, the door to the interview room creaked open.
Standing at the door, Director greeted warmly, “Miss Yu Tang, right? Little Deer just mentioned you. Come in, come in, we have heating inside, come warm up.”
Yu Tang wiped her sweat and hurried inside, “Coming, coming.”
After she entered, Director closed the door.
Silence fell over the lobby.
Seconds later, many eyes turned towards Ding Wanwan.
Ding Wanwan’s face flushed red, and her hand unconsciously tightened on her backpack strap.
Yu Tang knew Homeward Deer as well?
How many people did she know?
Ding Wanwan had never heard Yu Tang mention these connections.
Ding Wanwan’s expression fluctuated between hope and resignation as she continued to wait under the watchful eyes of the others.
Inside the interview room.
“Qingqing, my roommate is really a lunatic,” Yu Tang began to complain, “She’s also quite narcissistic, thinking I followed her here.”
Si Fuqing looked up, “Ding Wanwan?”
Director browsed through some documents and grumbled, “Who screened her and sent her to me? We don’t need such a person in our studio, she’ll just be another Gleaming Crystal.”
He removed Ding Wanwan’s documents, adding, “She likes to market herself online. I see so many top students at Great Xia University, many with perfect grades, and none boast like she does.”
“Exactly,” Yu Tang snorted, “Our Qingqing scored perfect in the Seven Schools Joint Examination, and she never boasted.”
Director jerked his head up, his voice changed audibly, filled with surprise, “Perfect score?”
Si Fuqing leaned back in her chair, “Low-key, low-key.”
Director was flabbergasted.
That’s too low-key!
He couldn’t believe it, “How do you manage to be a celebrity, play esports, and still find time to study?”
“Just…” Si Fuqing thought for a moment, “Maybe I played some games and took an exam while filming?”
Director shook his head, realizing he shouldn’t have asked.
Unbelievable!
He stood up and went out again.
The applicants, seeing him emerge, all stood up.
Ding Wanwan also stood, spotting the Director approaching her, her heart leapt with hope, “Director.”
She was certain she had been accepted.
