Chapter 141 - 141: All Forces Moving! Wrecking Scumbags (3)
“Smack!” Mu Qingmeng slammed her cup heavily on the table. “Didn’t I instruct you to keep a close eye on the Chen family? What have you been doing? People were kidnapped, and if nothing had happened, how would you explain yourselves?”
‘Ma-Madam, we didn’t expect this,” the head guard struggled with his words. “Who would have thought the Chen family would actually… resort to kidnapping?”
Of course, he dared not speak of the real reason.
He hadn’t given much thought to Miss Si from Lin, considering that Mu Qingmeng seldom visited there. Perhaps she might even forget about this young lady in the long run.
Why would they go to the trouble of protecting her?
“You’ve made a mistake; there’s no excuse,” Mu Qingmeng said coldly. “Now, immediately send people to the Chen family’s location and, in collaboration with the Yu family, seal it off. No one is allowed to leave!”
Though she and Mrs. Chen were born of the same mother, they didn’t live together.
She had been raised by her mother, while Mrs. Chen lived with their father.
Their parents had gone through a contentious divorce. Her mother was left with nothing, all the money in the hands of her father, allowing Mrs. Chen to marry into a wealthy family.
It was only in recent years that they reconnected.
At first, Mu Qingmeng cherished the sisterly bond, but her feelings had gradually cooled.
Now, given the Chen family’s actions against Si Fuqing, she had no sentiment left for them.
She understood Mrs. Chen’s character very well from their few interactions.
Vindictive, petty, and fond of employing despicable methods.
The head guard felt a shudder go through him, and cold sweat broke out. “Yes, Madam.”
Mu Qingmeng pressed her temples and then stroked her chest.
The butler’s expression changed, “Madam, should I call a doctor for you?”
“No need,” Mu Qingmeng took a few slow breaths and waved her hand. “A few sips of tea will suffice.”
The butler remained somewhat worried.
However, seeing that Mu Qingmeng’s complexion noticeably improved after drinking some tea, he finally let go of his concerns.
He pondered for a moment and then took some tea leaves from the kitchen’s
tea jar.
After packaging the leaves, he handed them to a guard, “Take this to the identification department, find out what’s in it.”
Mu Qingmeng’s illness was a matter demanding utmost seriousness.
The guard nodded and departed, saying, “Yes.”
The butler then headed to the kitchen to heat up some milk for Mu Qingmeng.
Elsewhere, in Lin City, within the walls of a hospital, Mr. Liu awoke in excruciating pain.
Minutes later, his face twisted in a grotesque grimace.
“Damn wench!” Mr. Liu bellowed, seething with anger. “If it weren’t for the fact that I’m alone right now, I would have killed you already! How dare you act so boldly!”
At this moment, his thoughts were far removed from love and pleasure; he only wanted Si Fuqing dead.
“Hurry, go,” he ordered through gritted teeth, directing his shout toward a figure standing outside the door. “Use my account to hire a team of gold-badge bodyguards from the Great Xia Escort Agency’s official website. And bring that little wretch from yesterday back to me! I want to see her kneel and beg for mercy!”
“Great Xia Escort Agency, such a prestigious name,” Si Fuqing sauntered in leisurely. “Would you like me to contact the agency’s boss for you?”
Mr. Liu’s eyes widened in shock. “How… How are you here? Where are my people? Where are they?”
‘Your people?” Si Fuqing bent down slowly. “As I said, whoever you’re looking for, I can bring them to you.”
Her fingers shot out like lightning, locking onto Mr. Liu’s leg, and she applied force.
Snap!
Mr. Liu’s right leg was dislocated, and he let out a painful scream. Sweat beaded on his forehead, but he refused to yield. “You dare do this in a hospital? You’re asking for death!”
No sooner had he spoken than two more snaps rang out. Si Fuqing dislocated both of his arms as well.
She dusted her hands. “Boss, I’ve got the control down pat. He’s not dead.”
Mr. Liu looked up and was horrified to see a young man sitting in a wheelchair.
“Who the hell are you?!”
He had assumed that he had been brought to the hospital by his own people. What was going on?
Yu Xiheng usually kept a low profile in public; most people had only heard his name but never seen him.
Mr. Liu, having never been to the city of Sijiu, let alone entered the Yu residence, naturally did not recognize him.
“Uncle Nine, it’s him!” Yu Tang seized the opportunity to complain. “He pulled my hair; he wanted to give you a bald niece!”
Feng San twitched a corner of his mouth.
He knew this was a serious moment, but he struggled to contain himself.
“And Uncle Nine, he even claimed he was Great Uncle.” Yu Tang was indignant.
“He wants to trample over you!”
At this, Yu Xiheng looked up, “Oh?”
Si Fuqing crossed her arms. “Some people talk nonsense. Look at your ugly face; do you think you share genes with my boss?”
Mr. Liu was so stunned that he forgot to be afraid. “What, what are you—”
Suddenly, he shuddered, his realization crashing over him. “No, no, no, I am certainly not Yu Qishan, I just know him! Know him!”
“Sir, if you won’t give face to the monk or the Buddha, you should at least consider the reputation of the Yu family.”
Yu Qishan was the eldest son of the Yu familv and the one most frequentlv accompanying the family patriarch, Old Master Yu, to business functions.
Having often seen him in financial news, Mr. Liu only knew of this one name.
He believed that dropping the name Yu Qishan would make anyone yield, even members of the Yu family themselves.
Si Fuqing arched an eyebrow.
Is Mr. Liu not all there, or did I hit him hard enough to give him a concussion?
Yu Tang was visibly frustrated. “Is he just not listening to me at all?”
Ifshe calls Yu Qishan her ‘big uncle,’ then isn’t it clear who she is?
Si Fuqing nodded, “You have to be compassionate—some people automatically tune out if you say more than fifteen words. They’re commonly referred to as brain-dead.”
Yu Tang nodded sagely, “Then he should be put to rest sooner rather than later. ”
Feng San looked perplexed. ‘
Miss Si was speaking nonsense again, but doing so with a straight face.
“I’m telling the truth! Really!” Mr. Liu raised both hands, his muscles quivering in fear. “I truly know Mr. Yu Qishan.”
Yu Xiheng remained impassive, his slender fingers lightly tapping together. “Then call him.”
With a scoff, Feng San tossed a cell phone in front ofMr. Liu. “You said you know Yu Qishan, right? Here, I’ve dialed his number for you. Speak.”
“What call!” Mr. Liu struggled, “It’s so early, Mr. Yu Qishan won’t have time for this, you can’t—Ah!”
Before he could finish, Feng San pressed his head down so hard it nearly fractured his spine.
His face was now pressed against the phone screen, the display crystal clear.
The screen read:
Calling Yu Qishan.
The call is being connected!
