Chapter 125 - 125: The Group’s Favorite, Wrecked Lin Qingyan (3)
The world chat erupted into spirited discussion.
Si Fuqing paid no attention.
She ducked into a clump of bushes to hide.
With a soft “ding,” Ji Xingzhi logged in.
[JI]: You’ve just logged in and already caused such a stir.
[JI]: Even when you’re not in the martial world, legends of you persist there.
[JI]: Truly worthy of you, NINE the god.
[NINE]: Get lost, quickly.
Sitting before the screen, JI Xingzhi opted to go invisible.
Best to lay low; he’d get a thrashing if he ever returned to their homeland.
JI Xingzhi pondered.
He had yet to even see what his big brother looked like.
The next morning, the class rosters were released.
Li Jingchen’s class and the vocal mentor’s class, remained unchanged.
Lin Qingyan, however, was called over by the director and planner.
“Teacher. Lin, since fewer trainees chose you and Ms. Si only needs six,” the producer flicked ash from his cigarette, “your class remains the same as last time. This should make your life easier.”
Lin Qingyan’s smile stiffened as she said, “Fewer chose me?”
A quick glance told her that most of her original students had filled in Si Fuqing’s name.
Lin Qingyan clenched her palm, inhaling deeply, “I understand. I’ll do my best to train them.”
The producer waved her off.
Yet Lin Qingyan couldn’t swallow her pride.
In just two episodes , a mere half a month, the tables had dramatically turned.
The woman she once used to step on was now looking down at her.
And she had to rely on Si Fuqing’s grace.
Fury swelled in Lin Qingyan’s chest. She barely contained it as she returned to the training building.
Si Fuqing was just coming upstairs.
Si Fuqing initially ignored her but paused at the mention of “Yu.” She tilted her head ever so slightly.
“Even the young master of the Yu family came to you, who can’t you seduce?” Lin Qingyan pressed, her nails piercing her palm, “I didn’t expect you to hid everything so well, just waiting for the right time to use it against me.”
Si Fuqing casually tossed the soda can she was holding and gave Lin Qingyan a thorough once-over.
Ah, she didn’t mean her boss.
She had initially thought Lin Qingyan had developed a clairvoyant eye or something.
Subsequently, she leisurely gathered up the pull-tab can.
Si Fuqing twirled the empty cola can in her hand but didn’t drink.
Instead, she aimed it at Lin Qingyan’s head. Lin Qingyan stepped back, both startled and angry, “What are you trying to do, Si Fuqing? There are cameras here!”
“Cameras?” Si Fuqing glanced around, intrigued, “If I were really afraid of them, I would’ve disabled all the cameras here already.”
“How about this,” she began, “You tell me. Do you think I’d be afraid of the camera positioned at your three o’clock, or the one directly above our heads?
Oh, right, there’s one over here too.”
Lin Qingyan’s face shifted from anger to utter shock and fear.
So the training base was riddled with cameras everywhere.
Aside from a few obvious ones, the rest were well-concealed, designed to capture candid moments.
Even the director and the producer couldn’t accurately pinpoint all the camera locations. How did Si Fuqing know?!
“Relax, something as delightful as coke—I wouldn’t waste it on you,” Si Fuqing twirled the pull-tab can in her hand, “It’s empty.”
Only then did Lin Qingyan let her guard down.
But before she could fully relax, a sudden “bang” resounded.
The can whizzed past, grazing her hair, and landed with a “thud” right in the stairway trash bin.
Lin Qingyan’s legs gave way, and she collapsed onto the ground.
Her face was ashen, and her body trembled.
Si Fuqing retracted her foot, put her hands in her pockets, and walked past Lin Qingyan as if nothing had happened. “That’s all.”
In Dance Room 2, Xie Yu turned his head.
He watched Si Fuqing’s retreating figure, a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
Xu Xiyun shivered, “Brother Xie, do you think Teacher Si has had training? The way she just kicked that can, I think she could easily kick my head off.”
“Whether she’s trained or not remains to be seen,” Xie Yu wiped the sweat off his body, “As for kicking your head off, that would be a piece of cake.”
Xu Xiyun.?
On the other side, the Zuo residence.
Zuo Tianfeng had just finished a business call.
The negotiations hadn’t gone well, and he was rather annoyed.
Just then, the front door swung open.
Already annoyed, Zuo Tianfeng was about to lose his temper. But when he looked up, he froze, “Mom?! Why are you back?”
“If I hadn’t come back, who knows what else could have happened!” The elder Mrs. Zuo started coughing heavily as soon as she spoke, almost gasping for air.
“Mom, I didn’t intentionally keep things from you,” Zuo Tianfeng hurriedly helped her catch her breath, managing a bitter smile. “Dad passed away so suddenly, and you were having surgery. I was afraid you might also—” The elder Mrs. Zuo finally caught her breath. murmuring. “Indeed. who would
have thought… who would have thought…”
“Mom, with Dad gone, you must take good care of yourself,” Zuo Tianfeng helped her sit down on the sofa. “The fourth brother is also sick and in the hospital; we can’t afford any more incidents.”
“What? Your younger brother is sick?” Mrs. Zuo’s pupils narrowed. “When did this happen?”
Zuo Tianfeng sighed, “Just a few days ago, suddenly admitted to the hospital. The doctors said it’s due to excessive indulgence; he might not make it through the year.”
The elder Mrs. Zuo clutched her heart and slowly exhaled, “What about Si
Fuqing? Why isn’t she here? Is she recording a show?”
“Don’t worry, Mom,” Zuo Tianfeng smiled, “Even though Dad left her some inheritance, I’ve already bought back the shares of Yuelan Jewelry and Jingcheng Real Estate. Si Fuqing has tactfully left and hasn’t returned to the Zuo family.”
“Just watch; even though that illegitimate child Si Fuqing received 2 billion, she’ll have to cough it up soon. She won’t take a single advantage from the Zuo family.”
“No way!” Mrs. Zuo suddenly became agitated, “We absolutely cannot let her leave the Zuo family!”
Zuo Tianfeng was taken aback, not quite understanding, “Mom, what are you saying?”
He had finally managed to drive away Si Fuqing, the harbinger of bad luck, and now she has to be brought back?
This must be a joke.
The elder Mrs. Zuo wasn’t as indulgent as Mr. Zuo had been toward Si Fuqing. Had she lost her mind?
“I said, she must stay in the Zuo family! No reason needed!” Mrs. Zuo started coughing again, “I remember Zonghe was quite fond of her; let’s have them
engaged.. “
