Chapter 51 - 51 It’s getting hectic now

This promotion failed…

But fortunately, the editor said they could give me another chance. If I can get 450 subscribers within a week, it will meet the minimum requirements for a push. If not, then it will be cut, and you guys will probably only be able to read it for another one or two weeks, roughly until the Mohe plot comes to an end. Seems reasonable, doesn’t it?

I’m so tired. Give me one more chance, and I’d never sign an exclusive contract again, even if it kills me.

The quality of this book should be okay; I haven’t seen anyone say it’s not good. I believe that if I persist, it will definitely take off, but capital won’t wait; it only looks at the returns.

I hope you guys won’t blame me for signing the exclusive.

Actually, my initial thought was very simple. I’m just a sophomore. Writing books is born out of a hobby and a dream. If I want to continue writing, I must achieve some success before graduation to prove that I can support myself. Otherwise, if the performance is poor, my family would never agree.

But after signing the exclusive, this dream suddenly turned into a job. Not only is it respectable, but it also comes with a guaranteed income. Four or five thousand a month is possible, which became acceptable to me. Those were my thoughts, but I never expected realizing them to be so difficult.

Moreover, this book is harder to write than I thought. Unlike other authors in this genre, I didn’t just copy Bear Grylls for the plot content, saving time and effort. That would have been meaningless.

So not only do I have to think of the plot, but the plot in Wilderness Survivalist is different from that in fantasy urban fiction, where you can just follow character conflicts. In survival stories, there’s no necessary connection between events. If I write that the protagonist is digging a hole in the morning, I have to think about what he’s going to do in the afternoon, what he can do, what’s interesting, and what can attract readers. And there’s basically no connection between these activities.

And I also have to look up all kinds of information, go online, read books, ask experienced people, from local topography to environmental climate, the unique flora and fauna, things that can be eaten and drunk, and repeatedly validate information to present the most accurate survival content to everyone. This consumes a lot of energy and time. Plus, some information is still not available; believe me, I’ve truly tried my best with the speed.

Additionally, it’s exam month, and updating twice a day is my limit. Occasionally adding an extra chapter even means writing until midnight.

Thank you again for your support. As I said before, if we can get through this, I will increase the updates.
