Chapter 382 The Second Revision's Advantage (I)

Due to Kieran\'s shallow knowledge of the matter, he believed that preparing for the grand opening of the Godhand Bazaar was the only way to bring about the Universal Currency Exchange Trading System\'s second revision.

Yet from the looks of it, his assumptions were evidently wrong.

Based on his current circumstances, it was clear that there were other routes he could take to bring about the second revision.

Of course, because he had unknowingly brought it about, it came as a shock to him, despite having resolved himself to do so within the next two days.

At the same time, a notification was sent out to the entire world. Though, as per usual, only players could perceive the note from the game system.

«Xenith World Announcement» -

Due to the actions of a player, the second revision has graced you with its presence. Rejoice, for your insignificant plight shall trouble you no longer. In the next coming minutes, all of you shall refer to the Universal Currency Exchange Trading System to view the changes.

After reading the message, Kieran was quite surprised that the system didn\'t reveal his identity. In fact, he questioned why it didn\'t.

Then again, although it didn\'t reveal his name, Kieran didn\'t fret.

While his presence wasn\'t revealed to be the reason for this change, he received credit nonetheless. This credit appeared within his Momentous Pioneer title, which recorded the number of World Announcements he received to become eligible for an upgrade.

But as he thought about this, Kieran wondered how this title would upgrade.

Objectively speaking, Kieran felt that receiving 10 World Announcements was too low for the title to evolve into a Mythical One.

After all, Mythical Titles were unprecedented and extremely difficult to come by.

Even in his past life, Kieran had only heard of two Mythical Titles and it was not because of secrecy. Players could not keep their possession of such a title secret even if they wanted to.

Not only would the system make an announcement dedicated to those that received such a title, but there was also a Zenith Leaderboard that opened up and recorded information on the greatest title holders.

As the system revealed the UCETS tab in every player\'s User Interface, it swiftly went gray for a few minutes, symbolizing the interface\'s inactivity.

While the tab was being revised, Kieran returned his attention to Dillon, who continued to look at him with shimmering eyes.

"To think another Honorary Member would appear within Aeredale! If not for our current situation, this would be worthy of celebration." Dillon sighed ruefully, barely able to stifle the delight he felt.

He wasn\'t just happy for Aeredale, he was also excited for himself.

From this, he could see a worthwhile promotion in the near future, and being able to see this brightened his outlook. Initially, Dillon was afraid that even with his efforts, Aeredale would struggle to return to its bits of prosperity.

"Current situation?" Kieran parroted in a questioning tone.

Because of Dillon\'s tone, Kieran thought that Aeredale\'s economic state had devolved into an even more terrible shape.

However, Kieran\'s worries were debunked as Dillon soon clarified what he meant.

"Aeredale\'s Revival Auction," Dillon remarked. "It\'s happening today. That\'s why I was shocked when Max pulled me away from its final preparations."

Listening to these words, Kieran\'s gaze flashed with realization. \'My busy schedule caused this to momentarily slip past my mind! That\'s right, Dillon said he was putting forth special efforts to ensure the longevity of Aeredale remains unaffected.\'

All of a sudden, Dillon\'s face lit up as if he was met with an immaculate idea. "How about we honor this joyous event of you becoming an Honorary Member with a celebration at the auction?"

"Perhaps if it were normal circumstances, I\'d be open to it. But for right now, I\'ll have to decline. Official recognition from the Merchant Association will suffice for the time being," Kieran replied, refusing the kind gesture.

Though he wasn\'t sure if players would attend the auction, Kieran didn\'t feel like making his presence known, especially if it would cause a commotion.

"Well, at the very least, attend the VIP suite that\'ll be outfitted with a lot of pleasantries and even an index of the items to be auctioned today--even rare ones of incredible worth," Dillon said.

Usually, auction houses wouldn\'t reveal the identity of the items to be auctioned.

They did so to maintain an air of mystery and increase the chances of the attendees bidding on far more items. If one knew of the items beforehand and found something that caught their attention, then it was likely that they would only focus on obtaining that item.

If everyone had this luxury, certain items would no longer be worth auctioning because many would obtain them at a steal due to a lack of interest.

"As I said before, attending the auction is in my interest, so I\'ll be there," Kieran replied.

"Very good. Since that\'s the case, let me tell you more about it," Dillon said, clapping merrily with an ecstatic expression.

From the looks of it, he was impatient to explain more about the upcoming auction. And because Kieran noticed this from Dillon, he responded with a simple nod.

As one would expect from a connoisseur or an enthusiast, the moment Kieran agreed to listen, Dillon began rambling about its greatness and the great lengths he went to.

"By exhausting some of my connections and cashing in on a few favors, I\'ve managed to secure a few items that many will become interested in. Of course, given the general wealth present within Aeredale, the items aren\'t of unimaginable origins," Dillon explained.

From what he revealed, this auction would consist of hundreds of items, with the rarity of these items varying greatly.

Nevertheless, Kieran gathered from the description that there\'d be a lack of Epic Items.

In his opinion, Epic Items may very well be the cream of the crop within the auction.

\'If even a single Legendary Item appeared, I\'d be astonished,\' Kieran inwardly mused, simultaneously listening to Dillon ramble.

As this was his passion, Dillon became extremely long-winded, even going into tremendous detail regarding the favors he had to cash in.

However, listening to one specific favor made Kieran stop and ponder.

\'Did I hear that correctly?\' Kieran asked himself.

"Did you just say you called in a favor from the Aubrililes Kingdom?" Kieran questioned.

"I did. One of the Managers of the Aubrililes Branch was a part of my graduating class, so we\'re more than acquainted. In fact, if not for my assistance, the odds of them becoming a Merchant would have been abysmal," Dillon answered.

However, this answer increased Kieran\'s skepticism. \'Dusvim mentioned that Aeredale was requested to be his main focus, so it was clear that someone coveted its territory. Dillon wouldn\'t jeopardize something he put so much effort into just to watch it burn in the end, so this mysterious acquaintance has just become a person of interest.\'

A few minutes later, Dillon realized that amidst his ramblings, he had been called upon several times to sign off on the final proceedings.

"The auction will start within the hour, so I\'ll have my attendant here situate you and make sure you\'re well accommodated," Dillon said.

Afterward, he turned to Max and patted his shoulders. "Make sure our good friend, Aatrox, is taken care of. See to it."

"U-understood!" Max exclaimed, somewhat overwhelmed by the entire situation.

In his eyes, Kieran was an unfathomable example, simply because he was related to two illustrious figures.

The Honorary Membership was merely icing on the cake!

At that time, the revision\'s completion notice went out to all online players.

Anyone offline would either learn about it once they logged in or perhaps perused the official forums after people raved about the changes there.

Left with nothing else to do besides wait for Max and the attendant to finish his accommodations, Kieran brought up the second revision data sheet and scanned through it attentively, checking for features that didn\'t align with his prior knowledge.

If his knowledge of the activation process was incomplete, perhaps his knowledge of the second revision\'s effects was as well.

Once the information on the second revision appeared, Kieran breathed out a sigh of relief. There was no discrepancy between his knowledge of the second revision\'s effects and its actual effects in this timeline.

Since the effects of the revision adhered to what he knew about it, Kieran opted for a brief refresher.

Unlike the first revision, the second revision was tailored to drawing in massive financial entities, which was why the first change was Refined Personal Banking.

Refined Personal Banking referred to the updated ability to immediately exchange Xenith\'s currency for Earthen Dollars without having to wait for someone to purchase it on the UCETS.

The two aspects of Refined Player Banking--Currency Exchanging and Fund Substitution--were something every wealthy person prayed for.

But because of their massive convenience, they weren\'t as exploitable as people believed them to be. And like with anything that came with massive amounts of convenience, there was a trade-off.

This trade-off existed in the form of the chosen exchange rate being completely average. Thus, in Kieran\'s time, using Refined Player Banking was something employed when in a bind for liquid cash.

Additionally, this feature possessed a daily limit to moderate how much currency one could exchange a day and that limit was dependent upon the user\'s World Fame and membership with the Merchant Association.

Though there was no relation to the association, it served as the perfect guideline for understanding a person\'s presence in the world of Xenith.

Fund Substitution, on the other hand, was something that could only occur in player deals.

It was the ability to completely substitute the use of Xenith\'s currency for Earth\'s currency, but both sides had to be in agreement. As long as there was an agreement, there was no limit to how frequently such deals could occur.

While the Refined Player Banking was great in Kieran\'s eyes, it wasn\'t the reason for his excitement--the last two were.
