Chapter 669 An 18 Year Old
<< Why is he so powerful at such a young age?! >>
<< Is he even a human? >>
Evander read the news with a frown and sighed in the end. "It finally came out, huh."
"Evan! Evan! Why are you hiding outside the house? You cheated! Yes, you cheated!" A woman with pale skin and dark green hair yelled as she held her hands on her hips.
Evander turned around and looked at the woman with complicated emotions. She wore a pink princess dress, a larger version of what little girls wore.
"Hey! You don't want to play? B-But you called me here to play after so long!" Kristie's eyes started to water as she looked at him with a hurt expression.
"I can't remember much about you," Evander muttered under his breath as he gazed at Kreo's daughter.
The girl whose mental growth stopped at the age of eight and eventually regressed.
"I feel like a piece of shit for doing this." Evander walked to Kristie with a sad face.
"Huh?" Kristie opened her mouth in confusion.
When her childhood sweetheart Evan finally visited her after soooo long, she was elated. She even cooperated with him and sneaked out of her 'house' bypassing the security uncle.
But Evan didn't play with her at all! Now, he began saying weird things.
Was this a new game?
She thought so as Evander raised his hand and looked at her with a conflicted expression.
"I'm sorry."
Those were the last words Kristie heard before she lost consciousness.
Evander picked up the girl with a woman's body and put her in a room in the underground floor of the building.
It had advanced bots to take care of her survival.
Evander exited the building and glanced around.
It was a remote area with fairly modest houses. More importantly, no one except himself knew that he owned a secret base in this space city.
Kreo must be panicking now that Evander 'kidnapped' his daughter from her safe house—her prison. But even if he searched with all his influence, he wouldn't find her.
"There's one last thing." Evander sent two messages before putting on a mask. His facial features changed and he assumed a well-prepared fake identity.
Hailing a flying cab, he reached the spaceport of the city.
"Now then…"
Evander went to the section of spaceships heading to mars. Then, he picked the one landing closest to the ruins.
"I will pay you back for everything."

"Old guy, stop crying already!" Anna, in her maid uniform, slammed the table.
"Heuk! B-But that bastard…" Richard, in his butler uniform, emptied another bottle of alcohol and crashed his head on the table.
They were currently in Richard's home. To be precise, his private bar.
After the news of Charles dying in Dreamer's hand broke out, Richard's best friend, Eve Xander went berserk.
The old friends whose friendship endured great wars ended in a single night.
"I know he did a lot of bad things. But does he deserve death for them?" Eve was heartbroken.
"My young master wouldn't kill him if he didn't deserve it." Richard, well, he didn't back down.
Thus, it ended up in a brawl before they said even more hurtful words to each other and stormed off.
But when the anger subsided, Richard was overcome by the sorrow of losing his best friend.
"If you keep crying, you will be violating his order, no?" Anna crossed her arms and asked.
Richard raised his head from the table and sniffed back his tears. Taking the tissue Anna handed him, he wiped his tears and blew his nose.
"…Seriously, huh?" Anna rolled her eyes before she abruptly froze.
Richard's face turned extremely calm and the pain in his eyes receded. With a snap of his fingers, his disheveled clothes were readjusted back to perfection.
He then stood up with his hands behind his back and nodded. "I will follow the order."
"…yeah." Anna could only say that. 'What a crazy butler.'
Richard checked his comm for one more time.
[Uncle Richard, I'm leaving. Don't look for me. If he allows it and if you are willing, please help Varian in anything he wants. This isn't an order. It's a request.]
This was Evander's last message before he sent a resignation letter to the Defense Bureau.
Then, no matter how much he tried, Richard couldn't trace Evander. Nor could anyone.
It was as if he vanished. For a peak level 9 like Evander, it wasn't a difficult thing.
"We should meet him. It's been a long time since I saw young master…though I'm not sure if I can call him that anymore." Richard smiled at Anna.
"Ugh, I wonder how she's doing. Finding her own father betrayed her best friend and this memory deletion. It must be hard on her." Anna pressed her hand on her chest and let out a bitter smile.
The one who informed her of this wasn't Evander, but Varian.
[Please take care of Sarah until we get there.]
After briefly describing to her what happened, he ended the message with that line.
"…I wanted master to retire some day. But not like this." Richard's body blurred and he appeared in the house's front yard.
"I wonder if young miss can keep up with him. He's a monster. She must be feeling all the pressure." Anna had her own concerns as she followed him to the spaceship.
While the two of them left for Sarah's location, the news continued to make waves throughout the federation.
All the Sovereigns, except Julius and Kreo, were dumbfounded at this absurdity.
If it wasn't Julius who testified to this along with a few 'pictures' which were verified by the technocrats, they wouldn't have believed it at all.
But the shock of abyssals was far higher than humans.
"A year? A fucking year?"
"It's not even a year!"
"I don't believe it! No one can reach level 7 in a year and you're telling me he awakened three months ago?"
The abyssal kings and queens were in chaos.
This one news, if true, would change everything!
