Chapter 10 Who’s Your Daddy Pt. 2
Skin as dark as the void, long silver hair that came all the way to his knees and bright red eyes the same color as my own.
She said one of the first things she noticed about him was his extremely handsome appearance and utter lack of damage done to his clothing despite fighting on the front lines.
Mother thought she\'d found a good place to hide but against my father it was as if she was out in the open.
He appeared before her and assumed she was a demi human slave that had been captured by the humans and my mother, who was unable to tell anyone she was actually a princess, went along with the lie.
Struck by my mother\'s beauty the two quickly became friends and my mother slowly forgot what her goal even was in the first place.
A year after they met they officially entered into a courtship.
Mother said it would\'ve taken longer had she not been the one to confess first.
Apparently, the old man was rather dense.
Nine blissful years later her hair and scales which were a bright crimson before changed to a luminous silver to match the one she loved more than anything.
She had finally undergone her second evolution.
She had evolved into a long extinct species of our race known as a Silver Moon Dragon. Known for their beauty and immense magic prowess these dragons were highly revered and no one knows how they died out.
Her final condition? To share the blood of an arch demon.
Apparently they were overjoyed when I had been conceived and my mother finally decided to tell the secret of her background and the circumstances behind the day they met.
She expected him to be upset or feel betrayed but much to her surprise, he already knew.
Her father had been scouring the entire world for her ever since she disappeared and every continent had heard of the missing dragon princess.
Normally, that wouldn\'t have been enough to suspect her, but my father noticed my mother was too well refined to have been a slave after the many times they had eaten together.
With that final burden lifted from her mind my mother and father were prepared to return home to declare their marriage and deliver some much needed apologies.
However that night as they prepared to leave they were attacked.
There was no army, no sneak attack, no grand entrance. Four humans in bone white armor showed up at the front door and immediately began to massacre all of the demons under my fathers command.
Every one of them was stage five and massacred the defending demons left and right.
My father begged my mother to flee as she was already carrying me but she was adamantly refusing.
My father was a powerful stage five demon lord as well but my mother knew numbers could overwhelm.
Faced with my mothers stubborn nature my father conjured a portal two thousand miles away from their current location and pushed her through it.
The last words she\'d heard were "I love you, and I will find you both."
Mother attempted to return to the castle to look for my father but all she found were the bodies of the demons who\'d been cut down in the initial attack, and the castle where they lived reduced to rubble.
Eventually, my mother returned to Antares with me in her arms. My grandfather whilst initially overjoyed could not help but notice that even though his little girl had evolved again the spark in her eyes appeared to have long vanished.
Since her return my mother has never spoken to anyone about my father and has regarded humans with extreme prejudice.
While most dragons see humans as nothing more than flies and would ignore their existence my mother would slaughter every one she saw.
While that should bother me.. it doesn\'t.
I\'m not that fond of them either so I see nothing wrong.
