Chapter 798: Kiliffia’s Training Part 1
Chapter 798: Kiliffia’s Training Part 1
"What is this!?" Kana yelled out. She did not understand why there was a stone hut following her as she walked up this mountain ridge. It was as if she had summoned some kind of horrifying monster from the black abyss. No matter where she went, this thing would follow her everywhere.
For the first time in Kana's life, she was truly afraid. She was completely horrified of the stone hut behind her. Because she knew, she knew that if she were to go anywhere near that thing, the only thing that awaited her was an endless stream of popups!
Sadly it seemed just ignoring the stone hut was not enough. Before Kana understood what was going on, the stone hut appeared in front of her. It was so fast that Kana had no time to react at all as the stone door opened up, and a vacuum force sucked her inside. She didn't even have time to scream.
After the stone hut's door closed, a golden bearded old man appeared and snorted: "Humph! Did you think you could get away that easily!? Now then. World Of Belda Three New Beginnings begins!"
While Kana was once again getting tormented, in the realm of the dead, Ceilie was staring at the paperwork in front of her while Nergal sat at her side, holding her head. "It's endless!"
"Nergal, you are complaining about that now? We already knew we were in for it when we said we would handle things for Angelica." Ceilie answered with a sigh. To be honest, she was also at her wit's end. She did not understand how Angelica was able to do all this paperwork day in and day out. It was like a non-stop flow. And she was doing it all herself!
"Ahhhh! I want to play! I want to play! I want to play!" Nergal yelled out while kicking her feet up and down under the desk.
"We can't leave the palace, and you know it. If we do not do this paperwork, then Angelica will be overloaded with work to do. Are you not going to be a proper aunt to your niece? We made a promise, and we have to make sure we follow through with it. I mean, what will happen when we have children when we are brought back to life?" Ceilie scolded, causing Nergal's tails and ears to sag.
"Fine…" Nergal pursed her lips and picked up the papers, and began looking them over. Even though she throws a fit from time to time, Nergal knows how to do the job just as fast as Ceilie, if not faster. She just did not have the attention span for it.
Seeing Nergal slowly getting back to work, Ceilie let out a sigh. If Nergal did not work, she would be stuck doing it all. She hated having to trick Nergal into working, but she had no choice! Since they were lovers, then they would suffer together!
In another place far from any of the universes near Kana and the rest, on a certain planet where powerful monsters roamed and wielded strange powers. Kaliffia stood with a sword in her hand. Her clothes were in tatters, and blood dripped from her wounds. She looked out over the bloody battlefield in front of her as her dirt caked, blood filled hair fluttered in the breeze. Her tail was matted and in disarray. She had not had time to fix herself at all since she arrived on this world, or more like dropped onto this world. Her first test of survival was falling from the sky from the outer atmosphere. Luckily she was able to use magic to help slow her fall, and then the trees below allowed her to brake until she came to a complete stop.
The old man had given her a bag of goods to last a few days along with a sword, but that was it. Once her supplies ran out, she had to forage for her own food and make new clothes from the hides of the monsters. Now her tunic was in tatters after fighting for three weeks straight. She was tired, very tired, but if she slept even a second, she would end up dead but now…..
Kiliffia's lips curled up into a smile that looked quite off with how her face was covered in blood. "I can finally return to my hideaway."
Three weeks ago, she had only come out to gather some resources but somehow got dragged into a brutal battle between two warring monster packs. They seemed to have deemed her as a threat, and the two packs began targeting her while fighting each other.
Monster after monster all looked somewhat humanoid in nature but had very little intelligence. They were no different from the monsters on her home world who were above a certain level. They did not know coordination at all. They only fought on instinct. Killifia chopped off one of the monsters' legs and dragged it behind her as she made her way to her hideaway. It was the only place she found to be void of monsters in this world.
It was located high in the mountains near a snowy peak. It was nothing more than a small cave that she fixed up to allow her to use fire to keep it warm. With abundant snow, she could easily get water for drinking, and monsters were her best source of food. Luckily the monster meat did not taste bad.
It took her almost four hours before she arrived back at her hideaway. When she entered and saw everything was as she left it, Kaliffia felt her fatigue kicking in. She quickly went to work, moving the large stone to block the cold air or anything else from getting in before setting up her fire and tossing the leg she brought with her to the side, near a spot she had caked with ice to keep things fresh. After setting up her stone bath that was raised off the ground to allow for a fire underneath, Kaliffia set the fire and hopped into the unheated water to wake herself up a bit. "I will rest for the next few days and catch up on some sleep. Then I will head back out and begin exploring a bit more. That old man said something about a hidden secret on this world, so I should try to find it."
