Chapter 116 Till We Meet Again [Bonus ]
Villain Ch 116. Till We Meet Again
The emperor let out a bored sigh. "Is this really all the challenge you could offer me?" he said, his voice dripping with disdain. He raised his hand and a sudden gust of wind blew through the trees. The air around him shook as black lances emerged out of nowhere, charging toward a female orc who had been hiding in the bushes nearby.
The orc screamed as the lances impaled her, blood spurting out of her wounds. The emperor didn\'t even bother to look at her, his eyes still fixed on the spot where the guild leader had fallen.
"Didn\'t you say you were the strongest of them all? I\'m really disappointed in you," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "But it\'s all over now. You and your guild were nothing but a nuisance to me," he added.
Soon, the sound of footsteps drew near as the siren and the other girls appeared from the bushes. The siren\'s long, flowing hair was falling down her shoulders, and her skin glistened in the virtual light.
"Do we need to go now?" the siren asked, her voice melodic and soothing. "There\'s nothing to do here anymore anyway."
The emperor turned to the siren and nodded. "Fine," he said, his voice deep and commanding. "Let\'s go."
pαndα---noνɐ1,сoМ The guild leader\'s heart was pounding with anticipation as he watched the emperor and his subordinates depart. He was hoping to catch any hints or clues that could help him in his future encounters.
However, his train of thought was abruptly interrupted by a loud thud on his head. As he felt his vision slipping away, he saw a massive figure looming above him. The Kraken queen had appeared out of nowhere and stomped on him, crushing his skull with her massive tentacle. The guild leader\'s screen went blank, and he was left in a state of shock. He could still hear the sound of the emperor and his group conversing in the distance.
The devil emperor raised his hand and opened a portal in front of him, leading back to the Curse Crypts. The girls got into it without hesitation, and the emperor followed them. As he was about to step into the portal, he turned back to the remains of the guild leader.
"Till we meet again," he said with a smirk, then turned back to the portal and disappeared into it.
The guild leader\'s body lay lifeless on the ground, his screen still blank. The sound of the portal closing echoed in the silent forest, marking the end of the encounter with the devil emperor.
A second later, the loading screen faded away, and the guild leader\'s vision was filled with the tranquil sight of Eyon village. The village exuded a peaceful aura, with its simple yet charming wooden houses nestled amongst a small bamboo forest.
The houses in Eyon village were modest in size and construction, yet each one had a unique character. Some were adorned with intricately carved wooden panels, while others had brightly painted shutters that contrasted with the natural wood tones. The thatched roofs added to the rustic charm of the village, giving it a timeless quality.
"Welcome back, adventurer!" Thera greeted.
The guild leader took a moment to appreciate the scenery, inhaling the fresh scent of nature that permeated the air. Then his gaze wandered around, looking for his guild members.
Most of his members were already there. Some were talking to each other, while others were refilling their HP and Mana at the nearby NPC. Some splashed their faces at the holy fountain to neutralize the negative effect skill of the previous battle. The sound of the water splashing against the stone basin was soothing, but it didn\'t help calm the guild leader\'s nerves.
Deciding to calm himself down, the guild leader sat on a nearby wooden bench, the weight of the recent encounter heavy on his mind. He took a deep breath and opened his inventory, taking one of his HP potions.
With a long exhale, he unscrewed the cap of the HP potion and drank it. The cool, refreshing liquid flowed down his throat, but he didn\'t feel any better. His mind was still clouded with the memories of the battle with the devil emperor. He couldn\'t help but feel frustrated that he didn\'t learn anything new from that encounter.
He closed his eyes and tried to focus. He replayed the battle in his mind, searching for anything that could help him defeat the devil emperor the next time they met. He remembered the emperor\'s black claws and his evil grin, also his members\' screams, but he couldn\'t find any weaknesses. The devil emperor was just too powerful.
The only thing that bothered him was how the emperor approached him and said \'Till we meet again\' as a mockery to him at the end of his encounter. It was as if he knew that the guild leader could still see him.
Seeing the guild leader\'s frustration, the mage approached the guild leader and sat down beside him, trying to offer some comfort.
"It\'s okay, boss. We\'ll get \'em next time," the mage said, trying to cheer up the guild leader.
The guild leader let out a heavy sigh and looked at the mage with a half-hearted smile. "Yeah, I hope so."
The mage sensed the guild leader\'s disappointment and tried to continue the conversation. "Hey, maybe we can come up with a better strategy next time. We can analyze our previous battles with the devil emperor and come up with a plan to counter his attacks."
The guild leader nodded thoughtfully, considering the mage\'s suggestion. "You\'re right. We need to do better. We can\'t let him continue to slaughter us like this."
The mage smiled, glad to see the guild leader\'s spirits lifting. "That\'s the spirit, boss. We\'ll show him who\'s boss next time," he said, patting the guild leader\'s shoulder.
The guild leader nodded in agreement, feeling slightly more optimistic about their chances. "Yeah, we will."
