Chapter 141 - Burial Mound, Resolved
Chapter 141: Burial Mound, Resolved
Chi Shuyan couldn’t care less about the two in front of her. Drawing talismans always required her full attention, so how much the two of them could learn from watching her draw the talismans would depend on their own abilities.
The Peace Talisman was easy to draw. It took Chi Shuyan barely any effort to draw more than a dozen Peace Talismans in a row, before she started drawing Pure Yang Talismans.
Pure Yang Talismans were a bit difficult to draw. The human face boils on Wang Xuewen’s back were of extreme yin, so extreme Yang Talismans were required to force the yin energy and grievances out. Thinking of the extraordinary grievances on Wang Xuewen’s back, however, Chi Shuyan stopped drawing and suddenly raised her eyes to the tall, silent man with pursed lips in front of her who was shrouded in purple aura.
Qi Zhenbai, who had been ignored by this woman because of his misunderstanding, was still a bit uneasy. He was also unwilling to go over for fear of disturbing her when she drew the talismans, and so stood to the side silently.
Faced with the woman’s suddenly expectant gaze, Qi Zhenbai was flattered. When he reacted, Chi Shuyan suddenly asked, “Can you sit closer to me?”
Chi Shuyan pointed to her left.
By the time Qi Zhenbai reacted, he found that he was already sitting beside the woman and that the two of them were very close. Qi Zhenbai was very satisfied with this, and neither of them noticed the change in the atmosphere around them.
Chi Shuyan tried to borrow his purple aura to draw a Pure Yang Talisman, but found that even though they were very close, she couldn’t draw it at all if they weren’t touching. She subconsciously looked at the man’s slender and perfect fingers beside her and suddenly asked, “Can I borrow your hand?”
When the two clasped hands, there was the sound of breaths being drawn in one after another.
Chi Shuyan didn’t notice; instead, once she was holding the man’s hand, she didn’t waste any time and immediately began to draw. Under the cinnabar pen, the talisman that was drawn on the yellow paper carried a faint royal purple aura – the Pure Yang Talisman. Of the five talismans that she drew, three were successes, which was a pretty good outcome.
Qi Zhenbai, on the other hand, sensed the various changes in Zhu Bocheng’s expression. In the eyes of others, they were quite intimate, but he knew very well that this woman was merely borrowing him to draw talismans.
Qi Zhenbai’s eyes landed faintly on the woman’s soft thin lips beside him, his eyes dark and gloomy.
Although Chi Shuyan was drawing talismans, how could she not notice the man’s scorching gaze? She just pretended not to see it. After drawing the talismans, she immediately got up and walked toward Wang Xuewen, and had Zhu Bocheng lift up the back of his shirt.
When the two strange and evil smiling faces were revealed, Chi Shuyan immediately threw out a Pure Yang talisman at the two faces on Wang Xuewen’s back. The Pure Yang talisman promptly ignited upon contact with the faces, which immediately stiffened. They suddenly twisted and screamed vividly, as if trying to break through Wang Xuewen’s skin to escape.
Wang Xuewen’s forehead was drenched with sweat while unconscious, and his expression was vaguely remorseful and pained. Chi Shuyan immediately motioned to the frightened and pale-faced Lu Chengfu and Qi Hao. “Hold him down!”
Ignoring their fear, Lu Chengfu and Qi Hao hurriedly pressed Wang Xuewen down. At that moment, Chi Shuyan threw out two more Pure Yang talismans in succession. The temperature in the room instantly plummeted, and the screams of the human faces on Wang Xuewen’s back grew even louder. They screamed and cursed in frustration, “Die, all of you must die… Why should we die?!”
The mournful screams gave the crowd the creeps. Qi Hao and Lu Chengfu shuddered inwardly. A putrid odor permeated the air, and strange black smoke immediately seeped unceasingly out of Wang Xuewen’s back. Wang Xuewen’s body kept twitching. It didn’t take long for the two faces to turn into a mass of black water and disappear cleanly.
The series of changes stupefied Zhu Bocheng. He stared at Wang Xuewen’s smooth back and examined it repeatedly, then gaped at Chi Shuyan and said, “Sister Shuyan, is that it?”
“Done!”
The moment the woman in front of him turned her head, Qi Zhenbai suddenly pinched her chin, pressed his thin lips to hers for one breath, then released her after the kiss. He narrowed his eyes and asked, “Are you better?”
Chi Shuyan was dumbstruck.
Qi Zhenbai said calmly, “You looked a bit pale just now!”
Chi Shuyan, whose face was red from beginning to end: …
Zhu Bocheng was shocked. “Zhenbai, Sister Shuyan, are you really together? Congratulations! Congratulations!”
