Chapter 1124 - A Group of Bastards
Chapter 1124: A Group of Bastards
The yacht nosedived under the crystal blue waters, past the shadow of the deep sea, past the wall of the ocean trenches, and past the magmatic rocks…
It all happened so quickly, it felt as if they were transported into another world.
Splash!
Suddenly, the falling yacht hit a body of water, the buoyancy returned, and everything slowed down.
“Oh god…”
Everything around them changed so fast that Chen Xioabei and Demonic Fox were awestruck.
Their surrounding changed from the flaming magma rocks to clear blue seawater.
And right below, a dome about 100kilometers radius wide glimmered. It separated the seawater from the city inside it. The buildings were of Greek architecture and they were built in a circular formation. A larger circle enclosing a smaller one, one ring after another until, finally, it reached the center, where a 100 meters tall altar stood erect.
The portal to Northern Wilderness Starfield should be in that altar!
…
The yacht had slowed down and then as if by design, the yacht descended to the side of the dome.
There was fluctuation of energy and the yacht was sucked into the dome and came to a stop.
“That’s not too bad. It’s your first time here but you didn’t wet your pants!”
The old captain smiled at Chen Xiaobei and Demonic Fox.
Demonic Fox had lost all the color on her face, too stunned to speak.
Chen Xiaobei was calm as usual. He had tucked his initial shock aside and said in a humble tone, “We were all shaken to our bones. And if it weren’t for you captain and you Tenshou God, we would have lost our minds!”
“Nikkawa! Tochigi! Remember that there’s no god here!”
Tenshou said as he approached the both of them.
“…”
Chen Xiaobei made himself look puzzled and asked, “Why is that?”
“Heh.” The old captain laughed, “How could you be called a god without the strength of a god? He may be able to lay it on thick on earth but here in Atlantis, it’s better to lay low!”
Chen Xiaobei and Demonic Fox looked at the captain like he had two heads.
The old captain had just discredited Tenshou!
How would Tenshou take it?
Chen Xiaobei and Demonic Fox turned their widened gaze toward Tenshou.
Instead of having a fit, Tenshou was very polite.
“You are right! I know what to do. These newcomers don’t know the rules. I will teach them fast and well!”
“Hmph.”
The old captain acknowledged with a grunt, and jumped off the yacht whistling to himself.
“Let’s get into the city. Remember to lay low!”
Tenshou reminded them before leaving the yacht.
Chen Xiaobei and Demonic Fox were still in a state of disbelief.
How unbelievable! In this underwater city, the demigod, Tenshou had to keep his head down! There must be some scary forces here in this city.
After entering the city.
Tenshou brought them straight into the Southern Town Star Temple.
It was called Southern Town because Earth was south of Northern Wilderness Starfield.
“The two of you stand watch outside here. I’ll call for you when I’m done!” Tenshou instructed.
He then marched inside the building.
Chen Xiaobei and Demonic Fox were not even allowed to step through the door.
This city was really stringent about hierarchy.
“Xiaobei! Your goal is within reach! All the hard work you’ve put in had not been wasted!”
Demonic Fox exclaimed using the Thousand Whispers Knot.
Chen Xiaobei, however, did not share her enthusiasm. “Before we got here, I really looked forward to it. But now that I’m finally going, I’m worried about you… I won’t be able to watch over you. What if Tenshou does things to you…”
“My lifespan was supposed to be 18 years only! I’m not afraid of dying, my only fear is that I won’t be able to avenge my family! I’m sure that with your strength, you will be able to return from Northern Wilderness Starfield very quickly and help me have my revenge, so I can die peacefully!”
“There you go again! Can you please not be so pessimistic?” Chen Xiaobei frowned. “Things have been going well so far. Why do you have to curse yourself?”
Demonic Fox shook her head and said dejectedly, “I don’t want to but I’ve been very anxious recently. I keep having this feeling like something bad is going to happen…”
“Why do you feel like that? There must be a reason, right?”
“I don’t know… Well, if there’s a reason at all, it may be because I don’t believe that luck will continue like that! It is the law of nature. All things good must come to an end… So far everything has been going so well… Things will go downhill very soon…”
“What kind of reason is that…” Chen Xiaobei was about to argue with her when a group of people nearby caught his attention.
They were a group of youngsters. They all had different skin colors, obviously from different countries. But they were all speaking in Mandarin.
“Master Tianbi! Hold on! You can’t just ignore me like that!”
A golden-haired girl was blocking the path of a group of men. She looked crestfallen.
One of them, a Chinese who looked like he was in his 30s, said to the girl, “Who are you? I, Lu Tianbi, don’t know you!”
“Huh?” The girl had not expected this response. She bit her lip, face reddened and said, “We’ve been together for nearly half a month. I even gave you my first time! How could you say that you don’t know me?”
“Was there such a thing? Why don’t I remember anything?” Lu Tianbi said in false-innocence.
“What did you say?” The girl cried out as if she had just heard the most ridiculous thing. “Last night, on my bed, you promised to open the portal for me! You can’t just act like nothing happened!”
“Er… Miss, did you take the wrong medication today?” Lu Tianbi mocked. “Do you know how much energy it takes to open a portal? Just because I slept with you once, I have to open the portal once? Who do you think you are? A goddess? Aphrodite?”
“You… That’s not what you said when you were sleeping with me!”
The golden-haired maiden’s eyes reddened and large drops of tears washed her eyes.
“Haha… What a naïve woman! How could you be so gullible! You can only blame yourself!”
The other men started jeering, picking on the girl.
“A group of bastards!”
Chen Xiaobei’s eyes burned with anger.
