One of the men on the floor, a black guy, got up. He was still dizzy from Qin Chu’s punches and approached Qin Chu in a swaying manner.
He tried to punch Qin Chu in the face, thinking that Qin Chu wouldn’t dodge since his friend had a gun pointed at him.
To his surprise, however, Qin Chu dodged his punch and the black gangster fell trembling to the floor.
“You mother f*cker. How dare you… I’ll kill you!”
The white man pointed his gun at Qin Chu and pulled the trigger…
Huo Mian was so scared that her heart almost raced out of her chest.
“Honey, be careful,” she shrieked.
Just then, Qin Chu took out a gun out of nowhere.
Huo Mian knew that Qin Chu kept the gun by his side at all times but he had never used it back in China except that once.
The first shot missed Qin Chu. Before he could shoot again, Qin Chu shot the white man in the wrist, causing the latter’s gun to fall onto the floor.
Another gangster tried to crawl over and pick the gun up, but Qin Chu saw what he was trying to do and shot again.
A loud shriek erupted…
Whoever tried to pick the gun up would have their wrist shot…
No one dared to pick it up…
“You crazy bastard. You’re crazy… You’re a maniac!” One of the gangsters cursed as he held his wounded wrist.
Someone had called the police and the police actually came pretty quickly…
“What’s the matter?” a white police officer asked. There were four other officers behind him.
They came in their impressive police cars.
Before Qin Chu and Huo Mian could explain, the gangsters started complaining.
They said a bunch of things but the main point was that Qin Chu shot them with a gun.
The gangsters were locals while Qin Chu and Huo Mian were obviously foreigners. There was natural discrimination against Qin Chu and Huo Mian.
A police officer came over and asked, “Can you speak English?”
“Of course.” Qin Chu looked at the police officer with an icy look.
“You’re suspected of assault. We need to take you back to the police station.”
“Wait. Aren’t you going to ask what happened?” Qin Chu talked back to the police officer in fluent English.
He was obviously in a bad mood.
“We already asked.” The police officer acted in a brash manner.
“We haven’t told our side of our story. Are you just going to listen to them and not us?” Huo Mian was also unsatisfied with such treatment.
These gangsters had caused the trouble but they blamed it on them. The most disgusting part of this story was that the police officer chose the gangsters’ side.
Huo Mian didn’t expect that the U.S, a country that claimed to be all about world peace and love, would condone such a disgraceful act.
The happy mood she was in earlier on this trip completely vanished…
“You are foreigners. Why should we believe you?” the police said in a righteous manner.
Huo Mian pointed to the security cameras and said, “You could see what happened here for yourself.”
At this time, the restaurant owner interrupted, “Sorry but the security camera is broken.”
Just then, Huo Mian realized they were a team and were covering up for each other.
Huo Mian looked at Qin Chu, signaling for help. At the end of the day, she wasn’t that familiar with American laws. She was scared that she would really be put behind bars.
They were the victims but were accused of assault. How bizarre was that?
“You call yourselves law enforcers?” Qin Chu scoffed.
“You have a problem with us? What are you going to do about it? Are you Japanese?”
“No.” Huo Mian immediately shook her head.
“Korean?” the police officer asked.
“We’re Chinese,” Qin Chu and Huo Mian said at the same time.
The gangsters and the police officers all burst into laughter.
“Oh, so you’re Chinese pigs,” the gangsters lying on the floor said as they tried climbing up.
“Shut your mouth.” Qin Chu held his gun and aimed at the gangster.
The gangsters were so scared that they hid behind the police officers.
“Sir, look! See how impolite they are!”
“Hey, you! Take them away,” one of the police officers commanded and his subordinates came running over.
The police officers rushed up and held onto Qin Chu and Huo Mian’s shoulders firmly.
“Wait,” Qin Chu said in an icy tone.
