Chapter 586 The Tournament of Champions - First Round (12)
The two fighters currently have perhaps the greatest physical strength of any player. They were a perfect benchmark for future human fighters. They were the Peak of Human Physical Strength.
''Argh...'' Taking a step forward, King Arawn tried to push Amour away with his sheer strength. However, shockingly, Lord Amour managed to stand his ground.
Their bones rattled while their muscles bulged. The scene was like one from a Kaiju movie. Two monsters made of pure strength fighting against each other.
''HA!'' Lord Amour's muscles looked like they were on the verge of exploding. He forcefully stepped forward, causing Arawn to respond by lowering his gravity.
They were in a deadlock. Everyone watching knew that a single mistake would lead to losing.
King Arawn slowly lowered his gaze, and saw Amour's base of foot. Raising his gaze back to Amour, he forced all his strength into his arms. However, he couldn't move Amour even a inch.
But, that wasn't his plan. He lifted his right foot, and slammed his heel on the base of Amour's foot.
''?!'' Amour's balance crumbled, and he caught a glimpse of his bleeding foot. After losing the balance, King Arawn immediately smashed his axe against Amour's axe.
Amour's knees bent as the weight of Arawn's strength struck his axe.
The audience widened their eyes in shock. King Arawn was winning!
Everyone watching from the Four Seasons couldn't believe it. Most of them had seen King Arawn's fights, and knew that he was incredibly strong. However, Amour had always been hailed as God of Strength. They never expected to see him lose in a battle of strength.
''Haha, it seems... that my strength is superior!'' King Arawn grinned as his veins protruded. The two axes trembled as they were suffering from strength of two inhumanly strong individuals.
Somewhere in arena, Arawn's former duo, PrincessHeart watched the match with irritation. She thought it was foolish that they focused so much on physical strength. Was this the so-called pride of the men?
''Hmph, both are foolish.'' She snorted, and returned to her waiting room. She finished watching the match between the two muscle brains.
At the other corner of the same viewing room, Lord Kalzer watched the screen with utmost attention. He remembered the fight between King Arawn. During the fight, he had to avoid all the axe strikes. If even one struck him, he would have lost.
The physical strength shown by King Arawn was ridiculous. It was like he was made from strength.
Lord Amour's knees landed on the golden ground. He was now officially kneeling. Above him, he held his crimson-colored blade while Arawn's axe was trying to cut through it.
In the Four Seasons, Grayhound Servants screamed in shock. They prayed for the victory of their young master. However, it wasn't looking good.
Amon glanced at the picture of his deceased wife. Next to her, young Amour grinned with childish energy.
''Haah...'' He sighed, and turned back to the screen. His eyes showed faith, and trust in his son's ability.
In the arena, Amour chuckled with self-mocking, ''Haha, I am looking quite pathetic...''
''Hmm?'' King Arawn frowned as the words traveled to his ears. In his eyes, it looked like Amour was slowly giving up. However, he knew how stubborn he was.
Amour wasn't known as the Undefeated Lord because he managed to win every fight. It was because he just didn't go down. After falling to 1 HP, he didn't care. Most would focus on survival, and try to retreat from the fight. However, he never turned his back.
''Pathetic...'' Amour gritted his teeth, and slowly tried to straighten his legs. To everyone's shock, he slowly started to push Arawn's axe away!
''Damn it!'' King Arawn screamed, and tried to push the axe back down. However, it felt like he was trying to cut through the earth. It was simply impossible!
''Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!'' With one final roar, Lord Amour pushed his axe away. As he stood straight with a majestic presence, his sweat-drenched face glinted with a brilliant glow.
''Hah.'' King Arawn chuckled with a mouth-stretching grin, ''Good. If you had lost like this, it wouldn't be fun!''
Swoosh... With a single step, Lord Amour appeared beside Arawn while swinging his crimson-bladed axe.
King Arawn clumsily put the axe's handle to block the strike. However, the impact pushed him back several meters. His hands slightly trembled, making him feel shock. Rarely did he feel this amount of shock.
''Bring it on...'' King Arawn felt amazed, and honored to feel this kind of Amour. It was rare to see Amour going all-out, and to know he achieved made him feel honored.
Lord Amour soared across the air while sending quick, and sharp slashes towards Arawn.
Arawn inhaled loudly, and weaved through the sharp air-cutting slashes. Then, he raised his axe, and blocked the crimson-bladed axe. Immediately, he jumped into the air, and hacked his axe down at Amour.
Amourt spun the axe around, and blocked the strike. However, he still crashed to the ground on his back as a result of the sudden impact. But he quickly rose to his feet, and started exchanging blows with Arawn.
Each clash brought cracks in the nearby colums, and ground. The audience felt like they were standing next to them. Below their buttocks, they felt their chairs shaking. It was surreal feeling.
They started cheering even louder at the great spectacle.
God Ra watched silently at the great match. Seeing the physical strength of two mortals made him feel amazed. However, he still couldn't understand why Kratos told him to watch this match. If this was everything the humans showed, it wasn't much.
However, in the depth of his heart, he had a feeling that the two humans weren't going all-out, yet.
That same thought was shared by Gods, and Goddess. Even though the attacks seemed to be the result of their limitless strength, they still thought that they didn't try their all. It was like there were many layers yet to be unfolded.
Amour, and Arawn raised their axes, and struck them down. The two axes clashed. Their faces leaned closer, both eyes showing a flickering flames. They had yet to go all-out, like the Gods, and Goddess expected.
