Chapter 317 Hidden Dungeon (6)
\'\'Whew…\'\' He took a large strode forward. Once he stepped inside the second cavern, the door slammed shut.
Bam!
The cavern in front of him was rather strange. Yellowish crystals were hanging from the ceiling. However, the cavern was very dimly lit. He could barely see a meter in front of him!
When Isaac tried to move forward. His arms collided with nearby walls. He moved his arms around, trying to get a feeling of things around him.
Isaac opened his Interface. He tried to use the light of a holographic screen to illuminate his path. Soon, he realized that he was standing in the middle of a cramped pathway.
It was not as successful as he had hoped. The floating screen sent a ray of light to the nearby area. But, that only allowed him to see where the walls were. However, couldn\'t see where the path took him.
It was still better than nothing. Isaac began to walk forward. The holographic screen still floating in front of him.
Swoosh!
Rustle!
Isaac felt chills running on his back. He turned around and moved the holographic screen to send a ray of light in front of him.
The cramped hallway arrived in his vision. Isaac\'s eyebrow jumped. He was sure that he heard the sound of rustling. Like, robes were fluttering.
Isaac was sure that the sound came right behind him. He even felt the wind brushing past his hair. He raised his head to look at the ceiling. There was no way that wind would have reached the cavern.
\'What was that…\' He rubbed the back of his head. Do you want to read more chapters?
Swoosh!
Rustle!
Suddenly, he felt the wind brushing past him and heard the sound of robes fluttering.
Isaac\'s face changed shades. His head shakily turned around. The holographic screen enveloped the nearby area in a light blue color.
Like before, he couldn\'t see anything. Isaac quickly increased the pace of his walking. Soon, he reached a crossroads.
There were four directions to go. Forward, to the left, to right, or back.
Isaac kept walking forward. Completely ignoring other suggestions.
Rustle!
The sound of robes followed after him, and Isaac began to run. Then, he reached another crossroad.
This time, he jumped to the left. Once he reached the left path, he closed the holographic screen and hid in the darkness. Come to p a n d a-n o v e l,c o m
The crossroad was dimly lit with a yellowish hue. That allowed Isaac to see the cracked walls, dry ground, and dusty ceiling.
Rustle!
From nowhere, a floating figure appeared at the crossroads. His skeletal figure was draped in tattered rags. On top of the head, a nametag floated.
[Wraith]
Isaac\'s eyes shook, \'Is this some kind of sick prank?!\'
The skeletal figure was Wraith. Famously known as a figure that hates every living being.
The Wraith turned its crackling head around. The sound of the bones clanking sent a chill on Isaac\'s back. He wanted to cover his ears but was afraid that sudden movement could attract the Wraith\'s attention.
Then, the Wraith continued floating. He entered the left path and soon disappeared into the darkness.
Ding! Ding!
Isaac\'s body flinched. He wobbled around and almost fell to the ground. He covered his mouth, nearly sending a rain of curses to the environment. However, that would be the last thing he would do.
[Test of Courage!]
[Reach the end of the path without letting out a sound!]
After seeing the floating texts, Isaac removed his hands from his lips. His face became red after keeping his breath inside him for too long. He started exhaling through the nose.
His mouth stayed shut.
After he had regained his composure. Isaac stepped out of the right path and entered the path that was going straight.
He basically tip-toed the whole journey. Afraid that his footsteps would attract the Wraith\'s attention.
Shortly afterward, he reached the end of the path. There was a stone wall blocking him from going further. However, there were paths that went left and right.
Isaac went straight to the right. He didn\'t even have to think. The Wraith went to the left path and could still be roaming there. All around, the right path seemed safer.
Then, he found out that his assumption might have been wrong. Isaac\'s body froze as he saw the end of the path.
At the end of the path, a light flickered. The light disappeared and reappeared. The end of the path was dark until the light flashed, and some light appeared.
Once the light flickered, a skeletal figure draped with tattered rags appeared. It was floating right below the light source, looking straight at Isaac.
Isaac shakily turned around. However, he saw another skeletal figure floating away from the left path, crossing the open space and entering the right path.
\'I am trapped!\' Isaac anxiously thought. Both the Wraith\'s were looking straight at him. However, the question remained, do they know he was there?
He was shrouded in darkness. He wasn\'t sure whether they could see his white-colored clothes in the darkness. Isaac opened his mouth, wanting to change his clothes to the color black.
Then, he remembered that he wasn\'t allowed to let out a sound.
Rustle…
The sound of robes fluttering got closer.
Isaac anxiously looked around him. He was surrounded by two walls, with two different paths to go. However, the paths weren\'t an option.
He could already feel the looming danger of the Wraith. It would take several seconds for it to reach where he was.
Isaac slowly bent down and lay flat on the ground. His nose touched the ground, and he stopped breathing altogether.
His eyes fluttered before closing them shut.
Rustle!
\'\'Haahh…\'\' The Wraith let out a creepy hum. Its skeleton-like toes brushed past Isaac\'s clothing. He kept floating without any emotion in his features.
Once the Wraith reached the flickering light, the Wraith, standing underneath the light source, turned around and began to float away.
The other Wraith turned in the opposite direction and began to float away. Soon, the sound of robes fluttering disappeared.
Once Isaac raised his head, he saw that behind the flicker of light was a stone door!
The stone door had a doorknob waiting to be twisted and opened.
Isaac hurried to his two feet. He ran to the door, twisted the doorknob, and entered the third cavern.
Before going further away, he slammed the door shut and slumped down on the ground with a sweat-drenched face.
