Chapter 251: It Was Worth Taking a Slap for Him

Jiang Ming looked at Senior Lai as if he was a lunatic. “Senior Lai, you know better than I do how much trouble you will bring if you use a gun here. Don’t tell me you still think this is a foreign country? In Country Hua, it is illegal to hide guns and kill people with them.”

Senior Lai curled his lips mockingly and pressed his tongue against his cheek. “How ridiculous. You, Jiang Ming, are actually teaching me about the law. That’s really rare.”

As he spoke, Senior Lai quickly loaded the gun and pointed it at Jiang Ming’s heart. He asked Quan Jue, “Young Master Quan, are you leaving or not?”

Quan Jue looked at him coldly. Before he could answer, he saw a petite figure quietly approaching Senior Lai from behind.

The moment he saw that silhouette, Quan Jue’s pupils constricted, and his heart jumped to his throat.

He wasn’t afraid at all when he was facing so many people, even when he was held at gunpoint.

But at that moment, when he saw Chi Jiao walking up behind Senior Lai, he subconsciously feared that something would happen to her!

Senior Lai also felt someone approaching him from behind. He abruptly turned his head, and the gun in his hand shot towards Chi Jiao at the same time.

Chi Jiao had already guessed that he would make such a move. Seeing the opportunity and, at the exact moment that he turned his head, she grabbed the wrist of his hand that was holding the gun.

Without any expression, Chi Jiao pinched the Senior Lai’s acupoint harshly.

The muscles on his arm trembled as if they were spasming. His hand instantly turned numb, and the gun slipped off his palm and fell to the ground.

Senior Lai was shocked and his heart turned cold. He raised his other hand and punched her fiercely.

Chi Jiao frowned.

Her aim was to prevent Senior Lai from hurting Brother Quan Jue.

Therefore, she expected to be attacked after snatching the gun.

But there was no harm in that. As long as Brother Quan Jue’s life was no longer threatened, it was worth getting slapped for him.

“Jiaojiao!” Quan Jue’s anxious voice was heard. From the corner of her eye, Chi Jiao saw Quan Jue’s figure flash past and teleport to her side. He then grabbed Senior Lai’s wrist.

Senior Lai’s attention had been focused on her, so he didn’t see Quan Jue’s movement. He was only shocked that his explosive power was that strong that he instantly protected Chi Jiao.

Jiang Ming happened to bend down to pick up the gun that had fallen on the ground. Although he had witnessed this scene from his peripheral vision, he didn’t say anything.

Chi Jiao thought that she was the only one who had seen it. She was very sure that Quan Jue had teleported over.

Her eyes were filled with surprise. Only then did she realize that Brother Quan Jue was an Esper as well.

The anger in Quan Jue’s eyes seemed to have corporeal substance. He exerted his strength and, with a cracking sound, easily broke Senior Lai’s wrist.

“Ahh!” Senior Lai cried out miserably.

Quan Jue didn’t stand on ceremony. Immediately after, he kicked the old man in the stomach again, sending him flying.

Jiang Ming saw the opportunity and stepped on the old man’s healthy hand. He rode on his back, and the pistol in his hand was already pressed against the back of his head.

The cold touch of the gun caused Senior Lai to shiver in fear. “You, don’t be rash.”

“If you don’t move, I won’t be impulsive. Otherwise, I’ll blast your head through.” Jiang Ming sneered and turned to look at Chi Jiao and Quan Jue. “I’ll take care of him. The two of you, call the police quickly.”

They nodded. Quan Jue took out his phone and quickly called the police.

Less than ten minutes later, the sirens of police cars approached from afar. Two police cars stopped steadily at the alley entrance.

As Huo Chen walked over with a few police officers, he instantly spotted Chi Jiao and the bloodied Quan Jue.

He was speechless. “…Why is it you guys again?”
