Chapter 322 - 322: Sisters

At the Lin family’s old house, Li Yanchen and Lin Wan slept intertwined in each other’s arms.

The next morning, Auntie Bao finally agreed to head to Royal Water Bay with Li Yanchen and Lin Wan after much persuasion.

Auntie Bao had raised some chickens in the back garden. Although she would be staying at Royal Water Bay Villa for only two days, she went to ask her neighbor to take care of the chicken until she returned.

When Li Yanchen drove the car, Lin Wan always sat in the front passenger seat. This time, she sat at the back to keep Auntie Bao company.

“Wanwan, Yun City has changed a lot!” said Auntie Bao. She hadn’t ventured out of Xuecheng Village in a long time. “In the past, there were only a few buildings, but now, high-rise buildings are everywhere!”

At ten in the morning, the car reached Royal Water Bay. Lin Wan opened the door and helped Auntie Bao out.

“Mother, we’re here.”

Auntie Bao looked around. Lin Wan had told her all about Royal Water Bay and the villa she lived in. Still, she hadn’t expected the place to be this big and luxurious!

“Wanwan, is this your house?!”

“Yes. Yours too. You can live here with us if you want. There is also Auntie Huang. She’ll keep you company.” Lin Wan really hoped Auntie Bao would choose to stay with her.

“Maybe in a year or two… after my chickens and ducks are all grown up.” “Deal!” said Lin Wan. “Let’s go inside.” Lin Wan led Auntie Bao to the house,

Lin Wan had called Auntie Huang early in the morning to inform her that Auntie Bao was coming to live with them for a few days. Auntie Huang was excited to have some company.

She was especially looking forward to it because she would have a person of her own age to talk to. Auntie Huang had gone grocery shopping. She had cleaned and changed the sheets in the guest bedroom and done everything to make Auntie Bao feel comfortable.

When she heard the main door open, Auntie Huang dropped whatever she was doing and went to welcome them.

Auntie Bao had heard Lin Wan mention Auntie Huang before. She knew that Huang lived in the house and cared for the family.

Therefore, Auntie Bao was equally excited to meet Auntie Huang. At the door, they talked with each other as if they were long-lost sisters.

“Auntie Bao, it’s so nice to finally meet you! Wanwan always talks about you.

You’re so beautiful!”

“Auntie Huang, Wanwan never goes a day without mentioning you! You’re exactly as she said you were. Kind and beautiful.’

“I’m so glad you two hit it off right from the beginning.” Lin Wan chuckled.

“Of course! How could I not get along with the person who took care of you as a child?”

Li Yanchen chuckled. “Mama Bao, you certainly seemed to have made an impact on Auntie Huang. She isn’t this cozy with everyone.”

“Finally, I have someone of my age here in the house! Wanwan, can I show her around?” asked Auntie Huang.

“Yes, of course. Mama Bao, please make yourself comfortable. If you want, you can just stay here with us from now on. If you don’t want to do that yet, you can always visit whenever you want to,” said Lin Wan.

“Alright,” said Auntie Bao happily.

“Auntie Huang, please get the sheets. I’ll change it and prepare the guestroom for my mama.”

“There’s no need. The guestroom is ready. I already prepared everything.”

“Thank you so much, Auntie Huang! You two can talk and get to know each other. I’m going to go change my clothes.”

Li Yanchen followed Lin Wan to the master bedroom.

Auntie Huang led Auntie Bao to the guestroom.

“Wanwan’s house is so luxurious. I never saw a house this big before! I am so happy to see her doing well.” Auntie Bao teared up. “Her life was so difficult when she was young. I thank the heavens every day that she met a kind and gentle man like Yanchen.”

Auntie Huang did not know much about Lin Wan’s past. She only knew a little about Lin Wan from the news when Li Yanchen had decided to marry her.

All Auntie Huang knew was that Lin Wan’s mother had passed away when she was very young, and she had been bullied in school. Later, when her father passed away, her mental health issues worsened. When Li Yanchen brought her home to Royal Water Bay, Lin Wan had been very unstable.

Auntie Huang didn’t know that this Lin Wan was actually not the original Lin Wan from this world. She only knew that Lin Wan had changed drastically after going to that show and spending time with the family. She felt that Li Yanchen had somehow saved Lin Wan.

“Sir is a good man,” said Auntie Huang. “He always takes care of Madam. The young masters adore her too! I have never seen someone as kind and generous as Madam. She is like the sun. She always brightens up the room.”

“It is just as well that a good person met another good person,” said Auntie Bao as she wiped her eyes. “Auntie Huang, how old are you?”

“58. What about you?”

“I’m 57! I’ll call you Sister Huang from now on. You don’t have to call me Auntie

Bao either.” Auntie Bao chuckled. “You can call me Han. Lin Wan and Li Yanchen are the two most important people that I cherish in my life. I’ll cherish you, too. We’ll be sisters!”

“Of course! I have relatives in my hometown, but they aren’t very close. We’re both pitiful in that sense because we had to rely on others for half of our lives and spend our time alone. But now… we’re lucky to be part of the Li family! It’s because of Sir and Madam that we got to meet today! I’m so happy to meet you!”

“I never knew what a family felt like until I came here… The kids, Sir, and Madam… they make me feel like a part of their family,” said Auntie Huang with a warm smile.

“Sir is busy with work during the day. Madam stays at home but does livestreams for a few hours every day. So, I’m usually all alone during the day. The neighbors are nice, but I can’t go to their houses every time to bother them. If you move in, we can have lots of fun!”

Auntie Bao chuckled. “I’ll think about it, Sister Huang. Did Wanwan put you up to this?”

Auntie Huang laughed. “Partly… When she told me about it, I was so happy. It’s her idea, but I also wish it would come true.”

“I’ll definitely consider it, Sister Huang,” said Auntie Bao. “So… tell me more about the children.”

“Alright.” Aunty Huang narrated stories about the children’s antics in the house and made Auntie Bao laugh.

In the master bedroom, Lin Wan hugged Li Yanchen. “Do you see how happy both Auntie Bao and Auntie Huang are? Yang Ruoxi was right. She used to say that a house is only lively when there are two elders present.”

Li Yanchen chuckled.. “If we persuade Mama Bao to move in with us, wouldn’t Papa Yang be lonely?”
