Chapter 109 - 109: My Son Beaten Up
The two little ones got out of the elevator and lurked beside the flowerbed, peering their little heads out.
And as they peered…
They happened to see Li Zhenting, for some unknown reason, pressing Mommy against a big tree and lowering his head as if he wanted to bite her.
“Oh no, the bad guy is bullying Mommy.”
Xiaoxiao was extremely angry, picking up a stone from the flowerbed.
But Coco, with his sharp eyes, took the stone from Xiaoxiao’s hand.
“Xiaoxiao, you stay here and don’t move. 1’11 go help Mommy.” He gently placed Xiaoxiao by the flowerbed, put down the clothes hanger, and, drawing from his experience of fighting with Wu Lili last time, knew that the clothes hanger might be used against him by adults. So, he sneaked forward, hiding behind a tree, ready to use his advantage in throwing lead balls to pick up the stone and hurl it viciously towards Li Zhenting’s back.
“Ouch.” Li Zhenting’s mind was momentarily hazy, his head was burning hot, and he suddenly lowered his head and kissed Shen Ning’s lips.
Shen Ning hadn’t expected such a scene to happen again, and for a moment, her brain went blank.
It wasn’t until a stone struck Li Zhenting’s back, causing him to cry out in pain, that Shen Ning snapped back to reality.
She quickly gave him a forceful shove, then hurriedly ran towards the apartment.
But just as she reached the entrance, she suddenly remembered that this devil was still behind her. She couldn’t let him know about Coco and Xiaoxiao’s presence.
So, she urgently turned and ran towards another entrance.
Li Zhenting was pushed back several steps and almost fell to the ground.
He steadied himself and reached for his back.
Just now, it should have been a stone that struck his back, and it still throbbed with pain.
Who did this?
He turned around, looking around alertly, and then bent down.
Sure enough, there was a stone lying under his feet.
He was furious.
This was unbelievable – someone had dared to attack him.
Was there no justice left in this world?
He was about to go and hold someone accountable.
But then he thought about it. It was late at night, and he had sneaked into someone else’s residential area. Moreover, he had just impulsively kissed Shen Ning.
Who could he turn to for justice in this situation?
He had to accept his bad luck. He glanced in the direction Shen Ning had fled, gave it some thought, and then turned to leave.
Coco hid beneath a big tree, and when Li Zhenting turned around, his eyes widened in shock.
Oh no, he messed up big time! He had actually thrown a stone at his own dad!
What should he do now?
His dad might be a bit bad sometimes, but a son hitting his own father didn’t seem right.
For a moment, he scratched his head, not knowing what to do.
Fortunately, Li Zhenting just hesitated briefly and then left.
“Big brother,” Xiaoxiao called softly from the side.
“Coming,” Coco replied. He watched his dad leaving with reluctance, wanting him to stay and hold him. His dad’s strong arms felt comforting when he hugged him.
But he remembered his mom’s advice and reluctantly walked back home.
“Big brother, mommy went to the neighboring building. Hurry, let’s go and prepare a surprise for mommy,” Xiaoxiao said, holding his hand and running.
Coco quickly regained his spirits. After all, he had a gentle and beautiful mommy; that was already pretty good.
“All right.”
The two little ones ran towards the elevator.
Shen Ning stood in the neighboring hallway, looking through the window, and saw that Li Zhenting had already left the residential compound and started his car. She finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Soon, his car drove away.
Shen Ning leaned against the wall, her face flushed.
She hurriedly fastened the buttons on her clothes; two buttons had been torn off. With her clothes tidied, she walked towards her home.
“Happy birthday, happy birthday…” Just as Shen Ning unlocked her door, the living room, shrouded in darkness, echoed with a birthday song. It was playing from Coco’s phone, accompanied by the sweet voices of the two little ones.
She was utterly surprised..
