Chapter 570 570. DAZE

Noah and Erolia appeared in the skies of a distant region as streaks, and their abrupt stop caused the winds to rush past them with ferocity.

Noah swept his gaze on the empty sky as though looking for something, he clicked his tongue Immediately after. "They did not follow," he muttered, and Erolia nodded, understanding what he meant.

The other night when James and his group had arrived, they had left out the presence of a higher-stage cultivator. Noah had naturally been cautious after that point, but he still wished he or she had followed.

"I still wanted to do some experiments on stronger humans," he revealed, seeing that as a missed opportunity. Stunned by his words Erolia simply kept quiet. Thanks to her amazing nature she had also been able to sense the foreign and invisible presence.

"Let's continue. Maybe next time," Noah announced and Erolia nodded in return, they accelerated again and the bang from their departure shook the sky.

The journey towards the other side of the huge city didn't take too long and when they approached it closer than before, Noah made Erolia enter his chest. The two of them would be too much.

Noah arrived before a big green bridge that stretched across a huge lake right before the city's entrance.

The enormous orange gate in the distance sparkled in the sun's intensity and remained too eye-catching to miss.

Floating far above the shimmering blue lake, Noah could sense the presence of a few beings, but they were dormant. Magical beasts by nature. He could roar and awaken them in fury, but that wasn't his task. The lake also possessed certain structures emerging out of its depths.

Those tower-like structures held no signs of magic, but there were seven of them forming an arc facing the city. They were wider than they were tall. Noah believed they were also for defense.

Shifting his gaze towards the other side, where the bridge started, Noah could see a stream of carriages and walking humans.

He could sense the myriads of tier 4 beings, but they did not fly, making him believe they were not allowed to fly into the city.

In a bid to not cause too much of a commotion, Noah flew toward the chunk of land that the bridge had been built from.

His descent caught the attention of many, but they barely focused on him.

Noah immediately began his walk towards the gate about 1.5km away, it would take him minutes to arrive but he could already inspect the humans and goods that entered the city.

Although he could directly teleport into the city as he had been inside it before, but he had traveled from the city's east to its west, spanning about 400 miles. He didn't feel the need for any more rush.

The people were calm and Noah even saw that tier 4's bottled up their auras in order not to kill the lower leveled cultivators. They showed him respect as he passed by them, but they showed no fear.

It would seem the order, in collaboration with the noble families, had created a city where people of various levels could come and stay and be safe.

Even though many tier-4's entered that city each day, the truth was that its true population possessed more lower leveled experts, But that was to be expected.

Still, a generous amount of tier 4's were within the city, even if they worked for the order as their rewards truly were tempting. The greatest rewards that could be given to experts at that level were resources that could aid their growth in power.

Thanks to the low requirement that the human race had compared to the elves, a small number of certain items was capable of letting their power rise evidently. If only those experts understood what exactly they absorbed as part of their power. They would flee from the very city. The order was plotting something diabolical.

Noah didn't take too long to arrive before the city's huge, beautiful orange gate. By this point, the queue wasn't too dense and he could arrive before the more than ten guards at the base of the gate. Each one of them held power in the fourth tier even if their levels varied.

There were also more than thirty with a prowess at the peak of the third-tier

Only before that group did Noah begin to notice something crucial, but he couldn't completely lay his fingers on it.

Still, he commended the city for possessing that many experts at only one of its gates, considering that there were five other gates. Even if they were not necessarily as big and beautiful as this one.

"State your name and what you plan to do here," one of the three tier-4 guards that attended to the fourth-tier entries, commanded Noah.

His power was only a bit in the middle stage.

Unfortunately, all the guards there had one thing in common, and that would be the orange and green armor that they had on.

The clinking of armor was very prevalent, but the movement of those many carriages was able to drown that noise.

The chatter coming from the queue was even louder, however, coupled with the occasional grunts from the huge beasts that pulled the carriages. Those carriages were similar to moving buildings.

"I am Josh," Noah announced still keeping his mask on. "I am a freelance adventurer and I desire to check out the offers of the order. They are in charge are they not?" He stated his reason, even pulling a question out.

The man nodded.

"You will pay a sum of five small gold to enter. If you manage to get recruited by the order then your entry fee will decrease to one small gold coin," the guard explained, blank-toned. That scene spoke of a truth that bothered many.

Due to the state of the nation, gold coins were hard to come by, for this reason, the city of Yeldel increased their entry fee to that incredible amount. Only those who possessed substantial amounts of money would even get the chance to enter not to talk of living comfortably if that was their plan.

Noah nodded his head, allowing a relatively big brown pouch to appear on his palm. Following the reality of that city, he had packed a substantial amount from the vast sum he gained from that vile cultivator.

Counting that sum. Noah could feel certain gazes on his back. It would seem having a bag full of gold was rare for someone who didn't enter with a carriage or wasn't a merchant.

He gave the said amount to the guard and he nodded.

"From now on if you do not gain a job from the order entering this city will cost you 2 small gold coins... And also, I cannot allow you to enter until you show me your full face," the guard explained a bit suspicious of him. Then again, he was wary of most people.

"I'd rather not do that, but okay," Noah commented, pulling down his face mask, and the man before him seemed to go into a daze. He snapped out of it and Noah pulled his mask on again.

Clearing his throat, the guard stepped aside. "Welcome to the city of Yeldel," he announced gesturing at the portion of the gate meant for individuals on foot.
