Chapter 400 400. TYRANNICAL
An intense battle unfolded at that point. The field; it didn't matter which portion, saw huge chunks of its ground shattered and destroyed as both figures; barely visible to the naked eyes battled it out.
Noah could barely keep up. He had been close to dying many times during their fight, but by some miracle, he always ended up alive. Even if nasty injuries were sustained.
The hollow wasn't playing around, and Noah knew it, yet he began to suspect that it had not utilized all of its abilities, even if it was already overwhelming him.
To Noah's dismay, he had never managed to get the hollow to absorb his energy. It was quick and incredibly agile. So it always evaded them.
Noah didn't need to guess that if things continued In that trend he would die. He found himself utilizing the second form more and more just to escape its deadly moves.
But slowly his luck began to dwindle.
Noah began to more often, find himself in situations that forced him into sacrificing body parts.
One time he had to let his palms get crushed by its punch to get a chance to escape.
Real worry started to form In Noah's head at that point.
Something changed after the battle had crossed one hour. By this point, the Hollow seemed frustrated with its opponent always managing to evade its attacks, so it moved to finish things faster by bringing its A-game to the field.
Noah felt his heart sink and his mood plummet when the silvery halo on the Hollow's pitch-black body intensified.
The patches on its body featuring a silver color found their surfaces being filled with more and more of the silver coating.
Shock grew on Noah's face when he saw silver arms coming to life from those silver spots and they reminded him clearly of the silver Hollows.
The arms were huge and completely defied logic due to how large they were. One of them would be three times as long as the Hollow's whole body itself and it featured nine of said arms.
Noah also feared that they could stretch forward since the silver Hollows had that ability.
His fears were on point.
The battle that unfolded afterward barely saw the hollow moving since its arms could reach Noah's figure even if he was already hundreds of meters from it.
It had to move at some point, however, and it showed how the arms didn't deter its speed in the slightest.
On the flip side, it seemed to have gotten faster!
Noah had to watch out for his life more. He was completely cornered.
He wasn't quick enough to reach the Hollow and inflict damage because of its oversized arms. In short, he was sitting docks and had to continue dodging.
Noah searched his mind for a way out, but he could barely find anything of use.
He was still incapable of utilizing his mental waves to Its peak so the spells based on its complete expansion were basically useless.
There was only one skill that could remotely remove him from that situation. And it was the one that pushed him one tier up.
Noah felt reluctant to utilize his strongest skill, so he began to spam his launchable skills.
Tens of lightning bolts shot out of his figure, followed by bullets of cold mist capable of leaving trails of ice on their path.
Noah even joined his offensives with wind spears numbering hundreds. He directly spent thousands of speed essence in those seconds, but it didn't phase him.
He was going to do all he could to avoid utilizing a skill that would put him at his weakest as a backlash.
Noah's barrage of elemental attacks met their end in front of the silver arms that shockingly absorbed them. Almost instantly.
Noah would normally feel happy at such an event, but his eyes grew cold before the scene, as his mind warned him of the danger to come.
The silver arms were huge, more than twice as long as the hollow, and were bulky, but that wasn't the main issue.
Only two of the arms had appeared in the way of his offensives, and their structures had almost seen their entire insides being filled with the energy within Noah's elemental attacks.
Almost
Noah watched the hollow make both of said arms clasp their palms together and he saw the energy within their structure flow out, into a gathering attack.
An oppressive aura exploded forth at that event. The wind picked up madly and chunks of the ground found themselves pulled towards the mass of energy gathering between the two palms.
Even from his position, Noah had to raise his arm to protect his eyes, while he watched the events unfold.
Three colored energies gathered together and Noah felt mildly surprised that the Hollow was capable of compressing the energy while keeping the stable. At least relatively.
Strands of electricity burst out of the swirling mass and the sound they created threatened to burst Noah's eardrums.
He watched his own energy about to be used against him and had no clear way of stopping it.
The winds grew stronger until they turned into a proper tornado with the hollow and its large arms in its eye.
Even if the gathering occurred about 300m above the surface, the ground still suffered from it. And the large swirling mass of wind didn't help the matter.
Soon Noah's instincts ran wild and the sudden disappearance of the whirlwind signified that the gathering had ended.
Noah laid eyes on a large mass of energy that still bore the different colors of the different elements.
This spoke of the Hollow's inability to properly merge the energies, but Noah knew that was never the goal, to begin with.
"You have such incredible power within you," the hollow remarked. Its strange voice contained q tone that spoke of how surprised it felt about that reality.
"I must admit that your potential is terrifying. This would be capable of killing me if utilized properly."
"That speaks of how much of a monster you truly are," it added. Its voice was clear as ever, even if the sound coming from the swirling mass in its palms sounded like raging thunder.
Noah remained silent before its praise. He could already see himself escaping the attack, but then what next?
"Die knowing you were a worthy opponent," The Cursed's voice reached his ears again, but to his shock, it suddenly sprinted forward and appeared dangerously close to him.
"You're as quick as ever. I'm beginning to suspect that my speed was given to you," Noah's voice rang out calmly even if death loomed above him in the form of an incredible mass of energy containing nothing less than 30k worth of high-quality speed essence.
It would wipe him out without a trace.
Noah's sudden calmness piqued the Hollow's interest, but it didn't care. It lowered the ball of borrowed energy in an attempt to let it go. And it did.
However, things wouldn't be going as planned for it.
The world seemed to slow down before the eyes of both Noah and the hollow.
The former on the other hand knew the reason for this. And when his power skyrocketed until it reached the peak of the third tier and broke into the fourth tier, he knew his prized skill had worked.
