Chapter 92 92. KILL
Noah raised his eyebrows in surprise but nodded his head in affirmation, and James fell on his knees with a dejected expression.
"What exactly are you?. Is that even allowed?," James voiced out his complaints, more to himself than Noah.
A short laugh escaped Noah's mouth, he liked how James tried his best to relieve himself of the tension their current situation brought, even if it meant he thinking of things he considered impossible; possible.
"The plan isn't that hard or complex, but might lead to my death if I'm not carefully." Noah started, James listening attentively.
"You won't really have to do much, since the plan is mainly based on these babies piercing them," Noah said gesturing at the Daggers.
"All I'll ask of you, is to distract that guy for a few milliseconds, before I step in." Noah pointed at the lion that shone amidst the black coloured smoke rising up into the sky. It's flaming mane resembling a moving star in the night sky, while orange spheres floated around it, shooting beams of light every second.
James eyes almost popped out, his mouth opening and closing many times, no words proceeding out of them.
"How do you expect me to even do that. Pull out a surprise?," James asked sarcastically after he had gotten over the shock.
No reply came from Noah who limited himself to stare at James, signifying that he was serious.
"How are you even sure I have anything new?," James asked a bit annoyed.
"Don't think I didn't catch glances of you practicing a new spell during our travel to Crilion," Noah narrowed his eye, James heaving a sigh in response.
"And besides if you truly don't have anything new, we would simply die," Noah shrugged bringing out the other dagger and gripping them tightly.
James got serious at that point, his eye falling on the flaming mane in the distance.
Watching Noah dash towards the lion, James did the same.
He still had doubts about the incredibly simple plan from Noah, but he couldn't do much in that situation.
Noah stopped a few buildings from the Lions position, gesturing at James to do his part of the plan.
Seeing his partner nod, Noah jumped down the building. Sneaking towards the Lions position, while Muliix covered the non exposed part of his body which were almost everything, bapart from his head his arms and neck.
Noah had to dodge many small chunks of buildings and incredibly hot stones, while he waited for James to act.
Standing on top of the same building Noah had jumped off. James gazed at the tier 3 beast. He almost couldn't believe he was about to something as outrageous as this. Attack a beast one full tier above him.
James browsed through his collection of spells and found only one suitable for the current situation. He knew it wouldn't do much since he was a whole tier below the beast, but Noah only said to distract it.
A magic circle expanded beneath James covering the buildings' top, James pouring all his Mana into the spell he was about to cast.
Crack's spread on the building as James raised his left hand which felt incredibly heavy. Tendrils of liquid water emerged from the magic circle, and began to snake up his body all towards his left arm.
Wrapping around his outstretched arm, the water began to spin on his opened palm.
James felt incredible pain from that process, his arm and nose bleeding from it.
After a few seconds the liquid stopped spinning and shot towards the lion.
James's body was sent flying backwards from the recoil. He almost passed out from the shock his body went through, but he stayed awake to witness his spells action.
The spinning water that had an azure glow managed to strike the lion without evaporating.
Nothing seemed to happen as even the lion seemed to not have noticed the tiny ball on its not flaming nose
That changed when a swirling sound spread out in the environment, then suddenly a large ball of water flickered into existence on the lions nose, forcing it to take mulitiple steps back.
The beast was outraged at the disturbance, one of its ball of flames shooting a dense beam at it destroying the spell instantly, which had only managed to get it's nose wet for a while, although mild cracks had spread on the ground due to the spells power.
The lion immediately scanned its line of sight for the person that had cast the spell.
Sighting a weak James who currently had one knee on the floor and his right hand holding his left arm, it released a powerful roar while it moved towards James.
But Noah acted at that point. Electrical energy buzzed and crackled around Noah's body then he crouched a bit. Shooting upwards Noah found himself a few hundreds of meters above the lions slowly moving body
Not letting himself get too surprised, Noah gritted his teeth. Raising both daggers above his head while falling, he immediately stabbed the lion with the daggers when he fell on its back
A millisecond of silence passed, then a powerful cry of pain resounded across the whole area.
Shockingly the beast didn't directly dry up from the daggers effect since it only gradually spread.
Noah's eyes went cold when he saw the lion begin to shake furiously trying to make Noah off its back, who in return gripped the daggers tighter while sinking them deeper.
The shaking continued for multiple seconds, Noah gritting his teeth from the sheer force of the wind hitting his face, he couldn't let go until the Daggers were done sucking it dry of energy.
A wave of shock filled Noahs mind when he saw the lions fur directly under him turn to flames. This time the beast stopped shaking and directly started running through buildings.
Noah's legs and clothes burnt under the influence of the flames, a painful cry escaping his mouth, while he also endured the rocks smashing into his face.
It eventually got to a point when Noah hung off the lions furiously moving body.
His hands, shoes and legs badly burnt, as intense pain invaded his mind, tears falling from his eyes but were immediately evaporated by the ever rising heat on the beasts back.
Running Into buildings immediately turned into rolling on the ground when Noah refused to budge.
Noah did dare let go, even when his head struck the ground, a sense of lightness filling his head, his body getting badly bruised while patches of his skin got scraped off.
It got to a point where Noah asked himself why he hadn't let go, after all the daggers would still do their job, he was only suffering for nothing.
With that thought Noah fell unconscious, as his hands slipped from the daggers and he was sent flying.
His figure shot into the sky due to the beasts rapid movement, he then flew for a few seconds until he smashed into a building his body going through it until a slab stopped his movement.
That stop revealed Noah's gory condition. His body bled profusely although his speed healing had long since kicked in, he had too many Injuries.
His ribs were all broken, his back had caved in from smashing through the building. His lungs were burnt from the constantly inhalation of hot air, even his hair was basically completely burnt.
Both his arms were so badly burnt that his muscles and bones were out in the open, multiple internal organs were also damaged.
All these injuries kept the speed healing stacked to the extent that it seemed Noah would die with if he didn't get extra help.
And shockingly that's exactly what happened.
Tendrils of electrical energy escaped Noah's body and wrapped around him in a glowing cocoon of sorts, where his body could heal fast since his skill couldn't find anymore energy to continue his recovering.r4pfp
Noah eventually opened his eyes, but before he could inspect his body, his eyes fell on the shining screen in front of his eyes.
