Chapter 96 - 96 Coquettish
Chuchu sat down on a sofa in the corner and waited for her Grandfather to finish reading Yi’s story. She wanted to tell her Grandfather she had been on TV. Although it had not been broadcasted yet, she was definitely better than Yi.
She was about the same age as Chuchu, only a few months younger than her. However, she still didn’t know how to brush her teeth or put on her own clothes. She only knew how to cry when she encountered something.
She didn’t even have a certificate, let alone appear on television. However, the adults here all liked Yi very much. Not only Grandpa but even Step-grandma liked Xiao Yi. They always asked Chuchu to give in to Xiao Yi.
!!
Chuchu knew that as the older sister, she would definitely give in to her younger sister. However, her Grandparents kept mentioning it as if she was the princess’s servant. She didn’t want to be a servant. She was still the little princess of her parents.
Grandpa held Yi in his arms and pointed at the book. He read the words one by one. Liang De wasn’t wearing glasses so he couldn’t see clearly with his eyes narrowed. His hearing wasn’t very good either, but he definitely could see Chuchu. He just didn’t want to accept it.
However, Chuchu was sitting upright, and her face was red. It made one’s heart soften, and Liang De felt bad. He beckoned for Chuchu to sit and listen to the story with him. He just happened to put down Yi. His legs had long been numb from the pressure, so it was good for him to move them.
“Grandpa, please continue.” Yi squeezed out a cute voice and acted coquettishly in Liang De’s arms. “What happened after Cinderella lost her shoes?”
“Xiao Yi, wait a moment. Sister Chuchu is here too. Let’s say hello to her, okay?” Liang De scratched Xiao Yi’s nose and smiled so lovingly that his wrinkles were filled with love.
Chuchu had never seen him smile at her like this before, but since her Grandfather asked her to sit over there, she obediently sat down.
However, Xiao Yi’s leg landed on the sofa before she could sit down and almost dirtied Chuchu’s new dress!
Chuchu frowned and glared at Xiao Yi.
However, Xiao Yi also frowned and sniffed. It instantly wrapped its arms around Liang De’s neck with tears in its eyes. “Grandpa, I don’t want Chuchu to sit here.”
“What’s wrong?” Liang De coaxed Xiao Yi while gesturing for Chuchu to sit on the sofa. “She’s the older sister.”
“She’s dirty; she doesn’t shower!” Xiao Yi pinched its nose and shouted.
When Chuchu was young, she drank Chinese medicine for a period of time. For a long time, her body had a medicinal smell. When Xiao Yi saw her, she covered her nose and ran far away. Chuchu had been sad for a long time because of this.
Xiao Yi originally thought Chuchu would go to find the adults with tears in her eyes like before.
In the end, Chuchu jumped up from the sofa, glared at her, and said, “I’m not dirty! Aren’t you embarrassed to speak ill of others?”
Xiao Yi was so frightened that he was stunned. Liang De’s face also instantly sank.
“Why are you talking to your sister like that?” Liang De raised his voice.
Xiao Yi saw that Liang De was backing him up and cried at the top of his voice, “Liang Chu, you are ugly and fierce!”
Chuchu wasn’t afraid of her. She didn’t have much of an impression of Liang De, and Liang De didn’t even look at Chuchu when she came back occasionally. She still had her mother’s support now. At most, she would have a new Grandfather, just like how she would have a new Grandmother. There was nothing to be afraid of.
Chuchu stood up and organized her thoughts. She then listed out the items one by one for Xiao Yi. “Dong Yi, your surname isn’t Liang. I’m the child in this house. As a guest, you shouldn’t speak nonsense. Be careful, or I’ll make you scram….”
“Who taught you to say that?” Liang De’s lips trembled in anger.
However, Chuchu didn’t care about him. She had to convince Xiao Yi.
“Also, look at how fat you’ve become. You’re the ugly and fierce one, scolding me.”
“Chuchu!” Liang De failed to stop this “little sparrow.”
After Chuchu finished speaking, she was delighted with what she said. She felt she was just like her mother, who spoke her mind directly. How cool!
She didn’t want to stay and watch their expressions. She quickly ran out of the room.
Behind him, Xiao Yi’s cries were deafening.
