Chapter 130
Perhaps… Noah glanced at the door without realizing it, and when she didn’t hear any sound, she felt a little disappointed, but decided to shrug it off. “You can go up ahead. I’ll apply the ointment. This is nothing you have to worry about,” she said to Muell.
I’m not a kid who can’t put medicine on a wound without him. Since when did I need a butler for this insignificant wound?
Noah swallowed her bitter feelings and opened the door to the hall. As soon as she was about to step out…
“Ah…!”
She was grabbed by the shoulder and her body turned around. A big hand tilted her head back before she could even grasp the situation properly.
“Really…” Kyle seemed to be rather irritated, but his violet orbs were fixed on Noah’s.
“…….”
While Noah stiffened, Kyle’s gaze shifted from her face to her neck. He stared at her wounded neck, and his eyes soon fell to her wrist. Fortunately, Noah’s left hand was free from scratches as it was not used as often as her right hand.
Eventually, Kyle murmured with a short sigh, “You make me keep my eyes open.”
When Noah heard the words, realization dawned on her. Oh… I had to work hard for a few days to get away from it.
“Go, apply some medicine, put some gauze on, and sleep. If you want to leave a scar on your neck, I won’t stop you.”
I think I like Kyle Leonard quite a bit. Not just a butler, but as a man.
“I don’t know what you’re upset about, but if you’re angry, tell me, and please keep the basic rules of life in your head. That’s all for Noah. How long do I have to tag along and take care of it?”
What’s so good about a man who talks like this?
“If you keep doing this, I’ll be more distracted and I can’t work. Please cooperate. Please.”
Was I supposed to like this type of person? Confusion swept over Noah’s mind, but she grabbed Kyle’s arm and asked, “Are you busy?”
“What?”
“Are you busy? It sounds like you’re going on a business trip. Do you have to go right now?”
It was only after Kyle answered that he realized his mistake. Surely, Penelope was waiting for him for quite a while now.
“…That’s not it.”
They say we shouldn’t judge emotions with our heads, but I don’t think our relationship is completely one-sided.
Was it merely an illusion? But whether or not it was a misconception, it can be confirmed in the later future. The unknown tingles that stirred Noah turned into anticipation, creating a strange feeling. She gulped down her dry saliva and waved her hand. “Let’s go, then. The place you were going with me tonight.”

Fortunately, Kyle conceded to Noah, but of course, there was a price to pay. She was allowed to come along with him only after she was firmly held by Kyle, who bandaged her neck and wrist again.
“Miss Noah, clothes.”
“I’ll wear it!”
“There may be people who will recognize…”
“Hood! I’ll wear it.”
If she were to tap on Kyle’s anger switch again, he would probably really steer away from Eleonora’s mansion, so Noah decided to make him feel a little bit better.
However, Kyle was suspicious as Noah looked up at him with her eyes wide open, beaming with enthusiasm. “Can’t you just have one attitude per day?”
“I will do that from now on.”
“I will do that from now on!” Muell echoed Noah.
As usual, Kyle breathed a shallow sigh and pulled the child from her. “Yes. Let’s leave. We’re going to the Lendia District Bureau of Investigation and Security. It’s less eye-catching than the headquarters, and it’s a new building, so it’s more secure. I sent all the witnesses and evidence there.”
Kyle ushered Noah into the car and closed the door. Then, he turned in front of the car and started the engine. The manual lever pulled down, and the car started smoothly.
It took them about twenty minutes to arrive at the annex of Lendia’s Investigative Security Agency. As they entered, Kyle’s words that he had an appointment with Penelope proved to be not an excuse. Penelope was seen waiting with a bundle of documents and a recorder.
“What about the rebellion?”
“It’s not that bad. Now Paul is interrogating him, and it’s probably over before dawn.”
“Okay.”
Kyle dismissed his subordinate and glanced at Noah afterwards. She quickly followed him as he beckoned, and they headed upstairs.
