Chapter 73 Boom!
Liu Yong took the initiative to call Qiu Yang before instructing Bawang to begin working.
"Boss, you wanted to speak with me?" Qiu Yang answered the phone.
"Yes, I need information on the ships currently docked at Dongshan Deepwater Port under the Proton Group," Liu Yong explained.
Qiu Yang quickly responded, "I have the information readily available and can bring it to you immediately."
Qiu Yang arrived promptly with a folder containing comprehensive information on the ships at Dongshan Deepwater Port, complete with color photographs and detailed text descriptions for each vessel.
As Liu Yong flipped through the pages, he quickly identified a promising target.
"I'll leave it up to you to investigate. Let's start with this one," Liu Yong instructed.
The vessel in question was a container ship with a staggering capacity of almost 100,000 tons.
It had been berthed at Dongshan Deepwater Port for several days and was fully loaded with containers, preparing to set sail for Europe.
Given the massive cargo and the containers filled and ready to depart, any mishap with this ship could result in significant losses for Proton Group, leaving them devastated.
Liu Yong wasted no time and promptly contacted Bawang to begin the operation.
"Bawang, are you ready to start working?" he asked.
Overlord replied promptly: "Master, I have arrived near Dongshan Deepwater Port. What are your orders?"
Liu Yong asked, "Are you familiar with the weapon we've prepared for you? Have you used it before?"
Overlord expressed satisfaction, saying, "Yes, I am well-versed in using the weapon and find it very convenient."
Liu Yong breathed a sigh of relief. "Great, that makes me feel more at ease."
Liu Yong brought up the pet panel, which enabled him to view the situation around Bawang in real-time via a third-party vision system. With this feature, he could see precisely what Bawang was seeing and the surrounding area.
Under Liu Yong's command, Bawang stealthily approached Dongshan Deepwater Port. Since Bawang was swimming in tens of meters of seawater, no one could detect its presence.
"See that container bulk carrier ahead? That's our target. Quietly swim over and use your spear to puncture a few holes in the ship's bottom," Liu Yong instructed.
Overlord eagerly responded, "Master, it's a piece of cake. Just watch me do it."
Overlord was thrilled with the assigned task, feeling like it got injected with chicken blood. The sense of excitement was inexplicable, but it was undeniable.
Overlord swam over eagerly, reached the bottom of the ship, took a brief look, and then grabbed its colossal spear, piercing the bottom of the ship forcefully.
With a massive spear made of high-strength steel and Overlord's incredible strength, the ship's bottom felt as made of paper. With a loud noise, the bottom of the ship got punctured effortlessly, and a large hole appeared.
"BOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM"
"BoooMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM"
A loud noise echoed through the ship, causing it to tremble slightly.
The sound attracted the attention of several people on board, and the Captain of the Proton Group even questioned the cause.
"What's happening? There was such a loud noise. Go check it out," the Captain demanded.
The nearby first mate replied, "Don't worry about it, Captain. I have no idea where the noise came from, but it doesn't concern us."
Before the first mate could say anything more, another loud noise echoed through the ship, causing several people on board to feel another slight tremble.
The Captain's expression turned grave as he quickly ordered,
"Go and investigate. Find out where that noise is coming from. I just felt our ship shake."
Unbeknownst to them, the noise made by Bawang's actions at the bottom of the water.
Even though it had gone beyond his original instructions, Liu Yong was pleased with Bawang's work.
He let Bawang have some fun and explore the surrounding area before calling it back if needed.
"Great job, Bawang. You can take a break and do what you like for now. I'll contact you again if there's something else to do,"
Liu Yong said.
Liu Yong grinned as Overlord declared,
"Master, I shall take my leave for now. But if you stumble upon anything else as delightful as this, do notify me at once."
It was evident that Overlord had relished this experience and was craving more.
Little did anyone know, nor could they have ever fathomed, that a massive snapping turtle, wielding a giant 20-meter-long spear in its front paws, had stealthily departed from Dongshan Deepwater Port.
Though Bawang had left, the ship belonging to the Proton Group was in dire straits.
"Captain, we have a major problem. Several sizable holes have abruptly appeared on the underside of our vessel, and a considerable amount of seawater has already flooded in," reported one of the crew members.
"What!" exclaimed the Captain of the Proton Group, his expression suddenly turning grave.
Their ship was doomed to sink if there were over a dozen significant holes.
The situation worsened because the ship had numerous containers, each brimming with goods.
All the containers will get damaged if the vessel goes down in seawater.
The Captain's complexion turned ashen, and he muttered, "This is the end, this is the end."
The commotion onboard caught the attention of some passersby nearby, who began to take notice of the situation.
"Hey, take a look! Something significant seems to have occurred on that ship," one of the passersby exclaimed.
"I heard some muffled sounds emanating from the water earlier. Do you think it could be related?" another asked.
Several individuals aboard the vessel appeared to be in a state of panic, scurrying to disembark from the ship.
"It's pretty apparent that something has gone wrong," someone commented.
Upon receiving the call report, Shi Lijun, who was at the Proton Group Headquarters, was taken aback and couldn't sit still.
He hastily rallied a group of people and rushed to Dongshan Deepwater Port.
Upon arrival, the incident had already occurred for over an hour, and the vessel had tilted and sunk more than halfway.
Suddenly, a thunderous noise reverberated throughout the area, deafening the movement.
Many of the containers on board had started to slide and tumble into the sea after the ship had tilted.
"What in the world happened? Can someone please explain this to me!" Shi Lijun exclaimed in frustration.
Shi Lijun was beside himself with frustration, knowing the immense loss the Proton Group was about to suffer.
They had been fortunate to have avoided significant incidents for at least half a year, but this catastrophe would undoubtedly result in substantial losses.
The compensation owed to customers alone would likely surpass the company's profits for half a year.
Many people had gathered around to witness the spectacle, as there was a lot of commotion and noise.
For many onlookers, who had worked on boats for over a decade, this was the first time they had witnessed such an event.
It was fascinating for them to observe the disaster unfold from a safe distance.
"This is incredible, especially when all those containers fell into the sea just now," someone remarked.
"Lower your voice; we don't want to be overheard by anyone from the Proton Group," another cautioned.
Aside from the Proton Group employees, people from other shipping companies and even dock workers observed the scene in awe, as if they were watching a disaster movie.
Shi Lijun was devastated, watching the catastrophe unfold before him. He felt helpless, unable to prevent the ship's sinking in any way.
