Chapter 250 - Doesn't Work
Lena thought that she would have been able to get away with spending the night sleeping early on her own. Samuel had different ideas however.
He did entertain Leo for a while. There were some things that the other wanted to do that didn't include going out and wreaking havoc and imposing on Clive or someone else to accompany them. He only agreed to do it for a little while other as he was also rather tired after the day that he had.
He knew though that he wasn't as tired as the princess was considering every aspect of what they did was enjoyable to him. For her, not so much after she had been dragged into the water by him.
Samuel had wanted to do something to make it up to her later that night, but it seemed that she was intent on sleeping early which dissuaded any plans of this. This just meant that instead of whatever he planned, he would just get away with spending the night with her.
It was an unannounced thing, but since she had left her room door unlocked, her fiancé didn't think that it would be too much of a problem if he came in to join her for the night.
"Closed doors are meant to stay closed for a reason." He was rather surprised to hear Lena speak. He had thought that by the time that he had come to join her that she would already be asleep.
"I was until you decided to come in here without checking first." Her voice was laced with tired annoyance as she rolled onto her other side so that she wasn't facing him.
"I thought that I told you before this anyways that this wasn't going to be a thing between us until we shifted to fully sharing rooms?"
"I didn't think that it would be that big of a deal since you seemed to already be asleep." He replied as he shifted position so that he could fully get up onto the bed behind her. Even though he wanted to do nothing more than hug her, he made sure to keep some space between them since the other didn't seem exactly thrilled with what he was doing.
"Expecting me to be asleep isn't a good excuse for coming in and doing something like this. You'd have been fine spending the night in your own room rather than doing this." She replied with a tired sigh.
"I didn't want to be stuck in my own room though, I wanted to come here and spend the night with you." He told her as he shifted closer on the bed, carefully closing the space between them.
"Not after today. You spent more than enough time with me. Doings that I wasn't exactly thrilled with. You handle spending the night away from when since we have one more day to spend together tomorrow. Now shoo." The princess told him without opening her eyes once. She was still somewhat tired and sincerely hoped that she would be able to go back to sleep without much issue if she told Samuel off without putting too much energy into it.
"I know that there were some things we did that you weren't thrilled about. Others though, I don't think you minded all that much." He told her as he planted a gentle kiss against her hair. He liked the fact that her hair still smelled like the ocean even though they had come back hours ago.
"Things aren't to be done on the beach or when people are trying to sleep." The princess warned him when she felt him place a hand on her sheet-clad hip. It would have probably been worse for her if it wasn't for the fact that she never slept without her clothes.
She preferred her nightclothes. Even more so in a situation like this where the absence of nightwear might give her fiancé the wrong idea about the situation that they were currently in.
"I think that this debatable. And even I am wrong about that, you should let me make it up to you then." Lena took in a slow deep breath when the other said this. She needed to keep herself from reacting too much even though she felt her heart rate betraying her as it sped up. Samuel didn't know that she was having this kind of reaction since he wasn't pressed up against her body.
"Don't start anything if all you are here to do as you say is spend the night with me. It is one thing if you just want to sleep here. Anything beyond that and I will personally take it upon myself to kick you out of my room." She warned as she swatted his hand off the side of her hip. This was not going at all how she had expected it to.
"Not even if it is something to make up for before?" Samuel asked in a lower tone of voice as he shifted slightly closer to her. It was hard to determine the distance in the dark so he moved carefully as he didn't want to press himself too hard against Lena.
"If you want to do something to make up what happened earlier to me thank you will do me the biggest favor by allowing me to sleep." She told him as she tried to shift away from him. How troublesome her fiancé could be at times.
"Isn't there something else that I could do for you that would be just as much fun?" He asked. She knew what he meant by this and immediately put a stop to it. Especially before the strange sensation pooling in her stomach became stronger than it already was.
"No, It doesn't work that way. I want to sleep and nothing more than sleep. Whatever is on your mind that you think would work better you can work on sorting out yourself." She huffed as she pulled the sheets tighter around herself.
Samuel was somewhat disappointed by her answer. He was looking forward to something else. Instead, he was just going to have to opt for sleeping with the princess.
He still managed to get his way somewhat much to her dismay when he wrapped his arms firmly around her and decided that that was the way he was going to sleep with her.
Why did he have to be so much more affectionate than she was?
