Chapter 848 Let Me Illuminate You All.
The Harem Space...
"Get off me!"
Naya said and pushed herself away from Hal with the propulsion of her cosmic energy but Hal was already letting her go and easily dispersed the cosmic energy before it could hit him.
Naya turned to face Hal with a deep frown which was to be expected as he just killed her king and kidnapped her after.
"Where is this? Where are we?" Naya asked and as she looked around the room they were in, she quickly noticed the sister duo of Addilyn and Reyna who were cross-legged on the massive bed in the room.
"Reyna, Addilyn" she called the two.
Reyna had not attended the war meeting they had had that day and even though Addilyn had attended, she left earlier to go and inquire what was taking her so long and she never returned.
Naya would have spared the whole thing a lot more attention had it not been for the serious state of insecurity that was plaguing their Clan at the moment.
"Why are you here?" Naya asked the two cross-legged ladies who had their eyes closed in studious cultivation etiquette.
Naya walked around Hal towards them both but Hal's voice stopped her from making contact with them,
"Don't bother. They're too busy to notice you" he said and his words did not convince Naya but rather forced Naya to stop moving. It actually froze the Queen Reagent in place.
Naya was of a mind to fight but the rational and sensible part of her brain (the larger part) warned her of the fact that she could not possibly have a chance.
Dorgroth was the most powerful individual in the Dragon clan. Individually more powerful than any of the twenty Draconic Elders even though a united try of the twenty would outstrip Dorgroth any day.
Anyway, powerful as Dorgroth was, he lost and he lost brutally. Even the Elders making a united attempt failed, so common sense told Naya she could not win and that was besides the fact that she had been brought to a strange dimension that might as well be completely in Hal's control.
'I have to be smart,' Naya thought and as Hal fully turned in her direction, she took steps away while practicing her escape means and looking for what could get her out of this dimension or at least help her call for help from the outside.
"What do you want? You killed Dorgroth so what else are you after?" Naya asked and Hal took a few steps toward her with a smile for every step Hal took, Naya took two.
"I killed Dorgroth because I particularly found him annoying. However, I am also a generous being so you can also say I did it to end his emotional sorrow at the loss of his son.
Now that he is dead, the responsibility of safeguarding the Nexus Stone has now fallen to you" Hal spoke calmly and with a voice oozing with confidence and authority.
Naya might currently hate Hal's guts and be seeking her escape or outside interference but she could not deny that Hal's mellifluous voice was doing wondrous things to her. Even as she took steps away from him, she shivered with growing reluctant arousal.
"I have to give it to your forefathers and mothers, they kept the Nexus Stone very well. My knowledge and means are vast but I cannot break into that domain as long as it is safeguarded by you bunch.
The information and protection are so fragmented between the keepers that it will make no sense unless complete. I can't even steal it from you. I can get the information for sure but the signature required to open the domain has to be yours," Hal said.
"Must be painful to be faced constantly with failure," Naya said "The pain will only get worse when I tell you I will not cooperate."
The back of the Queen Reagent hit the wall and she no longer had anywhere to step back to. As Hal got closer to her, Naya did not think to leave the wall and just pressed her back against it.
"You won't cooperate?" Hal asked with a chuckle before he then said,
"Well, if you're willing to so adamantly be uncooperative, there are two options available;"
As Hal spoke, he was finally an inch away from Naya and leaned in to whisper into her ear,
"The first option involves me convincing you to change your mind and I can be very- persuasive"
Naya shivered visibly as her mature body experienced teasing of such a level that was alien to her and had the potential of getting her completely heady with pleasure to the point of forgetting what the ongoing conversation was even about.
"The second option..." Hal began but Naya interrupted with a bit of a breathless voice,
"Try the first option first. I'm curious to know what you think will convince me to betray my Clan's interests" she said and Hal chuckled before he leaned away and took a few steps away from Naya as he said,
"The second option is to kill you and let the responsibility pass on. However, you see, if I kill you, then it means I no longer desire to convince anyone which would make me open the floodgates of hell upon the Dragon clan.
Complete genocide.
Every member of the Dragon clan will die except the only two currently on my side. Addilyn will inherit the responsibility and your bodies will be fed to my Devil beasts to raise them to even higher levels of strength.
I have no use for the Dragon Clan and even if I did, I can make another. I can make a superior race of Dragons by bestowing them derivations of my Infinite Sovereign Dragon Bloodline.
It's a long process and will take a week or so to complete but the success will grant incredible boons for my forces. The Quad of Dystopian rulers will become a triad or even a duo depending on how cooperative the Serpent Tribe decides to be.
My patience wears thin... My use of diplomacy lessens continuously and I will actively dictate what I want to do and you either accept or you challenge my decisions and die.
You say I try the first Option but you assume I even want to attempt to convince you. To me, diplomacy is only employed in a situation where one is not sure of his victory.
Should I decide to wage war against the Dragon clan, I will win and that is without the use of my true forces. I will only be employing the Devil Tribe and the Pheonix Clan to do my bidding.
How arrogant of you to talk about me convincing you to be on my side when you hold absolutely no power here. Hahaha, you are at a staunch disadvantage and you want me to attempt to convince you? How foolish can you be?" Hal paused at this point with a frown and a look into his eyes caused Naya to gasp as her mind was grabbed and thrust into a simulation,
"YOU SHOULD BE ON YOUR KNEES PLEADING FOR ME TO SHOW MERCY!!!"
Hal's voice boomed all around Naya in the mental simulation as she was instantly warned to choose her next words lightly while she was shown what the very next deviant response would cause.
The simulation played out scenes of war and great destruction descending upon the Dragon Clan Palace and Naya felt herself die at least sixty times consecutively.
The destruction of her home played out in the background and the aggressive-looking and acting duo of Reyna and Addilyn killed her in many genius and creative ways.
When it all ended, Naya was on her knees with widened eyes, trembling with fear and submission.
"So what will it be?" Hal asked in a deadpan tone that left no quarter and still trembling, Naya spoke in a shaky voice,
"My services are yours,"
Her vocal submission sealed it all and she was tied to the cause with Hal adding another to the set he required.
...
The Dragon Clan Palace...
It was already many hours since the end of the battle that rocked the Palace and the entire clan with a finale that had an even greater impact.
Due to the transfer of responsibilities that marked the heir to a dead ruler of the Dragon Clan, the Elders as well as other higher-ups such as the fan-holding Nero knew Naya, the new Queen Reagent, was alive but the question of where she was remained.
They had investigated the region Hal had disappeared from for hours with no breakthrough in regards to how they could get Naya out.
That night, the Queen Reagent returned to the joy and cautiousness of the Elders who wondered if her release by Hal did not spell trouble for the Dragon Clan.
Naya requested an audience and while a rebuild of the throne room had already begun, it was not yet good enough for gathering so they choose the war room instead. It was damaged as well but was still much more structurally stable.
"I have seen the light. I have seen past the muddled power-hungry eyes of the late Dorgroth Gord. Why seek to rule all when we can ally with the only one who can achieve it?" Naya started and the worry of the Elders was instantly confirmed but Naya was not done,
"The Phoenix Clan and the Devil Tribe have seen the light as well. Policies to support the Sapphirine Prince have already begun being put in place and I wish to expose you all to that light as well."
"What nonsense is this?" asked an Elder.
"Absolutely preposterous!" chimed another and Naya smirked,
"Oh, you want to be defiant? Well, let me illuminate you all on the consequences of defiance to my Lord" she said and the screams of the Elders were what filled the skies of the Dragon Clan Palace that night.
