Chapter 763 A Considered Success.
Despite the number of monsters that had been destroyed, the ones that were still around were more than enough to continue causing the Silva Duchy palace problems but then there was good news... The Silva Duke was not the only one who was finally taking part in the battle.
Elders of the Silva family, which basically referred to the strongest experts they had to offer, took time away from whatever had been keeping them busy to defend the palace and the Silva Duchy capital.
These elders were not in large numbers which was to be expected as it takes a genius to achieve what they had all achieved and only the absolute geniuses of their generation ever achieved this feat.
Anyway, the arrival of the Elders to offer backups to the Saints that were in the sky and had been facing the Dystopians served to turn things in the favor of the Silvas.
It only took the spreading of senses for any Silva to be able to tell that their family was the one getting attacked by the most foes.
The vast majority of monsters were raging at their palace and their territory was the only one receiving attention from the Dystopian experts.
Anyway, the Elders were moving with other members of the Silva family force to push the monsters out of the Duchy palace while also destroying them.
The Elders, at this point, let their strength show especially in the ease with which they destroyed the monsters.
"Perfect" Falkor of the Dragon clan said as he observed the arrival of the Elders and as he spoke, he grinned so widely, that he showed off long and savage canines.
The Dystopians had nothing giant the arrival... In fact, seeing them in action and reporting back was one of the main reasons for this invasion.
The sheer number of deaths of Silva men and women fuelled the Elders as well as the Duke but Hal, who was watching it all unfold saw their reactions as annoying.
For all their anger, the ease with which they were taking care of the monsters showed that there would not have been such a large number of deaths if they had shown up earlier.
Many other families had their strongest reaction to the monster overrun faster than the Silvas who were Duchy rulers.
The Danes, who had known of the coming attack through Hal had planned adequately to face the monsters that would target them... They laid down traps that were being triggered all about by the monsters and even then, every single powerful expert in the family came out quickly and got to work on destroying the monsters that came their way.
Clement stretched his hand and summoned an Ax cosmic Armament as he was soon in a three-on-one situation against the trio of Tchort, Falkor, and Bedelia.
The three Dystopians took on their devilish/beastly forms... Falkor became covered in scales and took on a hybrid form that retained flexibility and Bedelia's body got covered in fiery feathers.
There was a sort of divinity to the Pheonix woman's form and the savagery of being a Dystopian remained and was undoubtedly a boon.
Tchort's tattoos increased and covered almost every inch of his body while he sprouted Devil wings out of his back.
Neither of the three needed wings to fly but it was a part of their transformation nonetheless.
Clement Silva clenched his Ax cosmic Armament and was just still while the three began to encircle him... And then, Tchort flickered as he used his magnificent speed.
In his Devil form, the Dystopian was already very fast but he had his speed further boosted by his Ordinance of Speed and it made it so that he was unmatched.
Clement could not track his movements but he also did not want to or have to... The Dystopian's speed was not going to be too much of an advantage especially since he would be striking an ally instead.
Clement traded places with Bedelia and it was her that Tchort struck at but she was able to block his attack.
"Ngh" Bedelia groaned at the impact and turned her eyes to Clement who swung his ax at Falkor.
*Bang!*
The Dragon man could not dodge the attack which moved at a speed he could not follow and despite his use of his Ordinance to increase his resilience, the hit still knocked him out of the sky and caused him to feel a mighty amount of pain.
As Clement made the successful hit, he let out the pressure of his cultivation to reveal he was a seven-star saint and more than capable of taking on and defeating the trio.
Following his successful hit, Clement vanished and appeared before Tchort who attempted to escape... He moved away quickly before Clement could reach him, but reality changed so that he had never moved in the first place which put him in place to receive a hit from the Silva Duke.
*Bam!*
Tchort did not look panicked though and right at the moment he got struck, he hit Clement with a Devil spell that not only exploded upon contact, but it also stabbed through him and wracked his insides with its nefarious energy.
*BANG!*
A separation was forced and Bedelia quickly took advantage of the sluggishness in Clement's actions.
*Bam!*
Her attack hit and she followed up by stabbing him with a flaming feather that came off her body.
Once the feather pierced Clement, she introduced the divine flames of her Pheonix bloodline into this body to set him ablaze from the inside which resulted in the Duke of the Silva Duchy exploding.
*BOOOOOMMMM!!!*
The explosion not only rocked the Duchy palace but also a fair bit of the Duchy capital and it was a testament to the power that these fellows packed.
The explosion had only just begun to fizzle out when Bedelia heard a voice behind her,
"Did you enjoy that?" Clement asked and her eyes widened just before he grabbed her head and hurled her into a building down below.
*Bang!*
Tchort got him with his attacks, at least at the start, but Clement had made use of a combination of reality warping and a Silva family spell to switch places with a replica of his which he let all the hits and get blown to bits.
Bedelia rose out of the rubble and took off back into the sky just as Tchort blocked an attack and cast a devil spell on the Duke who suddenly appeared to be firing on all cylinders.
Falkor was back in the sky and the three began to work in tandem to bring down the Duke.
While they fought, the numbers of monsters continued to reduce and the Silvas were taking control and turning things in this favor which was not too hard as they were on home ground.
Yes, everyone who had attacked them including the monsters (kinda) was Saint level and they did not have those in surplus but they could rally and pool their strength and resources to combat these foes.
The Dystopians could tell that the invasion had almost run its course but they were yet to truly have made the impact they wished to make.
A few saints had been killed but that was not enough... Alas, their hands got tied soon as Clement the Duke revealed an Artifact that he activated, and out of the artifact sprung silver chains that began to revolve around the trio, guided by a focused Clement.
The chains began by binding their strength and pressure... Making them weak before they got tied up in a bundle in the sky.
Every monster within the grounds of the Silva Duchy palace was destroyed and only at the outskirts were there still many...
There was nothing to fear though... Many the monsters might be, but the strength of the strongest Experts of the Silva family proved more than enough to handle it all.
Eight-star Cosmic saints were absolute forces to be reckoned with and they had turned their sights mostly on the Dystopian Transcendent beasts who were now getting pushed into defensive poses...
But panic was minimal... Their escape was sure...
A strange sound suddenly echoed in the air not too far from Clement and then, a figure, shrouded in dark fog of mystery, appeared in the sky.
A portal opened in front of the figure and Clement the Duke looked into it to see a woman clad in a revealing attire cast a spell into which she added a deathly touch of her Ordinance.
The spell then fired at Clement who found himself trapped by its power and unable to move out of the way... Clement could feel the danger of that spell and when he conjured protection for himself, it was backed with every fiber of his strength.
The full might of him as a seven-star saint as well as his Reality warping Ordinance... All to avoid the fate of getting struck.
*BANG!!!*
Alas, the spell tore through his cosmic defenses and the strength behind it overrode his reality warping, and the best all of his defenses did, was reduce the damage he received but even then, he fell out of the sky and onto the ground in a comatose state.
The trio he bound were freed and rallied with the other group of experts they had come along with and they all headed for the portal that had been opened... Considering the invasion to have been a success.
Tchort hung back for a few seconds though, a few seconds he used to activate a self-destructive function within all remaining monsters which saw them all detonate wherever they were.
Explosions of such magnitude, not even three-star Saints could be careless around them.
Explosions that wreaked even more havoc and caused much more damage than the monsters had done in all their indiscriminate destructive rage about the Duchy Capital.
