Chapter 272 Impending Doom (Part 9)

<And from that moment onwards, we decided to address him by his newly bestowed name, Raydon, no longer as a mere project, but as an individual with his own identity and purpose.>

''Fuck you. ''

Raydon cursed as he kicked the gaming pod, which he had previously discovered to be an item formation.

'I've come across theories saying that our existence is nothing more than a simulation, but I never thought it could actually be true,' he muttered with a mixture of anger and disbelief.

Raydon was left with a sour taste in his mouth after coming to the realization that his previous life had been nothing more than a simulation that had been painstakingly designed to resemble reality. He had believed in its authenticity until now, unaware that his entire existence had been under constant observation and manipulation by unknown forces. He felt disillusioned and uneasy as he realized that his entire life had been a lie.

'Damn, I had to figure out right away that something was wrong when I got this weird title instead of a golden finger,' Raydon grumbled.

Even though his previous life had been a simulation, there were a great number of novels and video games based on reincarnation and transmigration. In these stories and games, whenever the main character dies and wakes up in a different world, they are endowed with extraordinary abilities that no one else in that world possesses.

But when he arrived in this world, the only thing that was different from normal was the peculiarity of his title. Because of the absurdly high requirement for experience points, he was unable to level up and could only improve some of his stats and gain passive skills.

This problem even occasionally led him to question whether his title was more of a burden than a help.

Given the high potential of his title, it was only natural that the required number of experience points to advance in levels would also be substantial. However, it was a nuisance that the already high number of experience points necessary to upgrade his title and level up continued to increase even further. And later on, when he found out that he couldn't increase his stats by more than 100, things became even more frustrating for him than they had already been.

Although there was undoubtedly a way to get around this maximum stat cap, his enjoyment of the game—and thus, of life—was being hampered by his ignorance of it.

"Shit... Whatever... At least I'm still enjoying it," Raydon muttered, attempting to calm himself as he massaged his temples.

He enjoyed life and accepted the contentment that came with being alive despite the circumstances. In addition, it seemed that he was no longer able to exact revenge on anyone for the hardships he had been made to endure, as noted in the first few pages of the diary, the world of his creators had already been utterly destroyed. Without a means of retaliation, he realized that his only option was to carry on living and make the most of the life he had.

As Raydon's erratic behavior unfolded through his rants and mood swings, the onlookers watched him with wide-eyed astonishment. Finally, they learned about his origins, which can be traced to this fallen world, and they understood the motivation behind his creation. They were rendered speechless and unable to articulate the myriad of emotions that were flooding their hearts at that very moment as a result of the weight of this revelation, which left them in a state of profound shock.

They were also still confused about the reasons behind the Observer's descent into the world, the cause of the world's destruction, and how he managed to survive amidst the ruins; however, despite all of this curiosity, they decided to wait for Raydon to calm down for a while, even though they were impatient to read the rest of the story.

And finally, after Raydon had cleared his head and accepted the reality of his circumstances, he made the decision to continue with the rest of the story.

<When he was finally given a name, it completely lived up to our expectations, and when he finally saw results for what he had done, he continued to try even harder. After some time, he realized that attracting the attention of those around him wasn't enough and that the world outside of the orphanage where he resided was much larger and more exciting.>

"Yeah, I found out that there was a much bigger world, a universe, you fuckers," Raydon said it angrily and continued reading, ignoring the tense looks the others were giving him.

<And from that moment on, we realized it was time for him to learn techniques that could enhance his potential. We were unable to teach him these techniques in a covert manner because the world that we created is inhabited by regular people; as a result, we devised a plan to integrate all of the techniques into games, taking inspiration from the formations that we ourselves had trained in. We developed these techniques, transforming them into a game format for him to learn and master.

Taking into account his greed, we have also provided him with the opportunity to amass wealth and achieve fame through his success in these games.

And once more, the outcomes were far superior to what we had anticipated.

He was like a sponge, soaking up all of the techniques that we implemented into each game, and his performance was so astounding that it even surprised us. What amazed us, even more, was his capability to elevate the techniques we believed were already perfected to higher levels. By assimilating the fundamental knowledge of all techniques, he pushed the boundaries of what we thought was impossible.

And when we saw that he wasn't satisfied with that, but instead began to combine these techniques to create supreme techniques that he could use in other games, we were all surprised by what we had accomplished.
