Chapter 208 Future Plans
\'It turned out that raising my spirit stat wasn\'t such a bad idea after all. \'After getting over the initial disappointment of not getting the sub-skill he wanted, Raydon made his way towards the front door of his home.
Since he didn\'t have much to do while he was waiting for his next match, he made the decision to go on a little bit of a walk around the area while he was waiting. He was living in one of the slums that were located outside of the city at the time, and his goal was to investigate the lawless neighborhoods that were located in the surrounding areas.
\'Perhaps there are other item holders, like Herman, who have territories in the surrounding area. \' Raydon thought.
Herman, a member of the Blood organization whom he had eliminated some time ago, was just one example of the rogue item holders who occupy an ownerless place and use it as their home. Like him, a great number of item holders had built up tiny kingdoms for themselves outside of the cities.
The previous time Raydon had killed Herman, he had unexpectedly gained a lot of experience points and loot from him, and now the idea of finding others like him was enough to get him excited about the prospect of hunting them down.
\'Because of the previous misunderstanding, the blood organization hasn\'t come after me yet, but I\'d better be more careful with my next target. \' Raydon took a moment to pause and think.
According to the information that he had previously obtained from Belicia, the Blood Organization, which Herman was affiliated with, typically consisted of members who operated on their own and was even an organization whose members regularly fought and killed one another within themselves.
In spite of this, and despite the fact that they didn\'t have many rules, whenever someone who wasn\'t a part of their organization attacked or killed one of their members, a revenge call would be made, and a reward would be placed on the head of the person who committed the attack.
Because the rumor that the person who killed Herman was to be a high-ranker spread so quickly, even a large and powerful organization like the Blood Organization was unable to ignore these rumors. As a result, no one has yet come for Raydon\'s head.
\'\'Despite the fact that the rumors are circulating, I don\'t think it will be too much longer before they come after me. Until then, I had better try to build up as much strength as I can. \'\' Raydon smiled as he walked out of his home after opening the door and stepping outside.
Raydon was well aware of the potential threats and hazards that lay ahead, but the potential rewards in the form of experience points and loot were so alluring that it was difficult to pass up the opportunity.
Furthermore, he found a strange sense of enjoyment in the chaos and obstacles he faced.
The chaos he would unleash and the obstacles he would face, along with the powerful item holders who might later come for his life, all presented another challenging phase in his game-like life.
—
It had been exactly two days since Raydon had left his house to go on an investigation, and everyone in the neighborhood was watching intently as a black car of the most recent model made its way slowly up the street to where his house was located.
After parking his brand-new car in front of his house, Raydon emerged from the vehicle with a broad grin on his face and said, "It\'s almost time for the next match."
After leaving his home, the first thing he did was go to the item market. There, he sold the extra items and materials he had brought with him and exchanged some of the gold he had for cash that he could use among regular people in this world.
Later on, he used this money to purchase this black sports car, which is quite pricey for regular people.
\'It\'s really surprising that I only paid 150 gold coins for this vehicle, \' he thought.
Raydon laughed as he recalled the previous time he had attempted to purchase a sandwich for one gold coin. In this world, common goods had no value to an item holder. Even an item holder who has only recently experienced an awakening and has only recently won their first match is able to use the gold they have earned to buy themselves the most recent model car.
After being greeted by several young people, Raydon handed the keys to his car to one of them, told the young person to take care of the vehicle, and then entered his home with a big smile on his face.
The fact that he was only minutes away from his next match was one of the factors that contributed to the broad grin that was plastered across his face. However, the most significant aspect was the things he had discovered over the course of the previous two days in other lawless places close to where he lived.
When he was conducting research in the surrounding areas, he paid particular attention to slums that are located a significant distance from the regions where the families, or the regions where item holders belonging to other organizations, are located.
Raydon also reasoned that there were lots of places with strong item holders nearby during the course of this research. Once an item holder had reached a certain level of strength, they were able to select an ownerless region for themselves and make it their home. They did not have to worry about any problems during this time because these regions were frequently slums that families or organizations ignored.
He already had a good idea of where he wanted to look, and he used the information he gathered from his investigations to guide him to many of the potential locations.
Even though Raydon found a few F-Rank targets, the majority of the targets he found were E-Rank, and even two of them were D-Rank item holders.
