Chapter 133 Getting The Inheritance (Part 6)
While they awaited Fehim to produce enough toxin for his full body armor, the two took some time to relax.
"All right, I\'m ready. Anytime you want, we can move. \'\' Fehim stood up gradually and spoke.
\'\'We don\'t know what the next stage is, so let\'s be cautious. The difficulty of this inheritance appears to be greater than we believed. \'\' Raydon said as he moved toward the exit leading to the next stage.
With their weapons at the ready, the two of them began to make their way slowly out of the tomb. And after moving a few meters forward, as in the first two stages, they eventually realized what the next obstacle was.
With a sigh, Raydon said, "I hope you have a flying skill."
In front of them was a bottomless pit, the other side of which was obscured by fog. In an effort to get a glimpse of what lay ahead, Raydon and Fehim cautiously walked up to the edge of the pit. However, all they could make out were the rocks floating in the air, appearing to be suspended over an endless void.
"If we fall from here, we\'ll likely end up nowhere," Fehim looked down into the depths of the pit, but all he saw was blackness.
\'\'I think we should cross over by jumping over the flying rocks ahead,\'\' Raydon said, looking at the nearest rock, which was about 8 meters away.
\'\'I have an ability that allows me to fly for a short period of time. I can move forward by jumping over stones.\'\' He regarded Raydon thoughtfully for a while.
Since his ability only allowed him to fly briefly, he had to fly a maximum of 10 meters, gain the necessary acceleration over a rock, and then leap to the next flying rock. He could have carried Raydon in a princess grip, but that wouldn\'t have been a pretty sight.
\'\'There is no need; I have my skill to assist me.\'\' Raydon firmly stated. With his Flame Burst skill, he could easily jump over flying rocks. The only drawback was that his skill had a cooldown of 1 minute. But instead of jumping over the rocks, he had a different plan.
\'\'Despise. \'\'
Raydon used his investigative skill to search the area. He could detect a monster if there was one, but he couldn\'t see anything other than Fehim standing next to him.
\'Hmm. Given that this dimension is owned by a death-type item holder, there is a chance that non-living monsters are present. \' He thought.
\'\'Use your investigative skill. \'\' And then he said to Fehim.
Fehim nodded and chanted.
\'\'Infrared Vision. \'\'
After giving the area a good long look over, Fehim declared his findings. \'\'Nothing in sight. I think this stage will be easier than the previous ones. \'\'
Raydon stated after some consideration. \'\'You go ahead and look around to see if there is any danger. I have a feeling there is more to this.\'\' He rested his hand on his chin and continued to look around.
The first two stages were more difficult than this one, and his intuition was telling him that there was something more dangerous here.
\'\'Okay. \'\'
Fehim said this, and huge bat wings appeared on either side of his back in an instant.
\'Huh? He didn\'t use any skills? \' Raydon was taken aback when he noticed Fehim wasn\'t using any skills.
\'\'Haha, it\'s cool, right? It\'s the ability of my body enchantment. The name of my body enchantment is zombie soldier\'s wings. So its primary ability is actually flying. But there\'s a catch: I can\'t actually fly, only glide.\'\'
Fehim said this while showing off his huge but too-small wings to support his heavy body. Additionally, he had holes in his wings, which significantly reduced his ability to fly.
\'\'Okay, I\'m going ahead. \'\'
He said, and without having to use any other skills, he instantly leaped 8 meters, spread his wings, and began to glide toward the closest rock.
Fehim was about to land softly on the rock when he heard Raydon call out to him.
\'\'Watch out, above you! \'\'
After hearing Raydon\'s warning, he looked up and immediately felt terrified by what he saw. A horde of dark ghosts descended upon him from on high.
\'\'Shit, what are those. \'\'
\'\'Dissolving Shield. \'\'
Fehim quickly released a cloud of yellow gas, which acted as a shield between himself and the evil spirits.
*Hıss*
*Hıss*
The monsters retreated with the yellow smoke coming out of the barrier, indicating that they were damaged after touching it
\'\'Shit. \'\'
Before he could celebrate the success of his shield, he missed the rock he intended to land on and began to fall into the void.
\'\'Hook. \'\'
Just as Fehim was lamenting the fact that he lacked the skill to save himself from this fall, he was pulled towards Raydon by a rope wrapped around his body.
\'\'Thank you. \'\' As soon as he set foot on solid ground once more, he threw himself to the ground with the relief of evading death and expressed his gratitude.
Raydon looked at the black spirits that had drifted away and disappeared back into the darkness of the sky and said. \'\'I guess they don\'t come here. \'\'
\'\'They were extremely swift. Even if I had known they were coming, I probably wouldn\'t have had much time to defend myself. \'\' Fehim got to his feet and said.
It seemed impossible for them to cross using this method if these things came and attacked every time they jumped to the next rock, as the attack was very sudden.
Raydon and Fehim understood that they required a strategy. For Raydon in particular, the situation would worsen because he lacked a skill like Fehim\'s that would allow him to float through the air.
"I had another plan from the start than to jump, but I\'m hoping the stones are floating in accordance with my logic. \'\' Raydon said, looking at one of the nearest stones.
\'\'Spirit Wave. \'\'
He used his skill on the rock to test whether his theory was correct, and when the black wave hit the rock, the impact pushed the stone forward.
\'\'Good, it\'s as I thought. \'\' Raydon smiled, pleased.
