Chapter 131 Getting The Inheritance (Part 4)

\'\'Of course, no one is using it. Are you dumb? It\'s an item formation left behind by the previous owner of this dimension. \'\' Fehim paused for a moment, looked at Raydon strangely, and resumed walking.

\'It\'s you who is the fucking dumb. There was no information about this in any of the books I have.\' Raydon jerked inwardly.

\'So, when you become a very powerful item holder, you can use skills even after you die, huh? \' Even though Raydon didn\'t fully grasp how this formation functioned, he thought it was pretty amazing nonetheless.

He was now completely unfamiliar with the concept of item formations. Based on the information contained in his memory fragments, he was aware that some objects were operating independently using only life cores. In fact, some vehicles functioned as items and used the mana that life cores supplied, but he didn\'t think this technology could be applied in such a way as formations.

\'I suppose I should get myself a life-core powered car in the future. I can\'t afford to take a taxi all the time.\'  Raydon laughed to himself as he continued to walk carefree through the hail of arrows.

\'\'Arrows becoming stronger. \'\' Fehim said after removing a bone arrow that was lodged in his arm. The intriguing aspect is that as soon as he removed the arrow, the wound instantly healed as if it had never existed.

\'\'At least they deal only physical damage, not elemental damage. Hey, your defense is really incredible,\'\' Fehim murmured before turning to Raydon and saying so.

Even though Fehim\'s wounds healed instantly, the arrows still bounced back off Raydon\'s skin, despite his skin appearing much softer than Fehim\'s. Sometimes there was nothing but a tiny scratch.

In response to Fehim\'s apparent surprise, Raydon simply shrugged. He wasn\'t in the right frame of mind to be pleased with how effective his defense was at the moment. He was keeping an eye out for a mob that he could kill to earn more experience.

\'\'Hey, I think we can pick up the pace. \'\' Fehim said after they had walked for a while to rest and replenish their mana. He also reactivated his body armor because arrows were now damaging his skin.

\'\'Sure. \'\' Raydon agreed. They had a lot more time, but since they didn\'t know what was going to happen next, it made sense to get through the stages as quickly as possible.

After another half an hour of running, the arrows raining down on them had increased in number and strength, and even Raydon was beginning to take visible wounds.

"How much longer do we have to run? It\'s unbelievable that the normal duration of this inheritance is just three hours. Is this really F-Rank? \'\' Fehim shouted angrily.

Raydon was also aware of how challenging inheritances would be, and that an inheritance like this would likely require the participation of at least ten people. But even so, finishing it in 3 hours seemed insurmountable.

\'\'It\'s likely that this wasn\'t an F-rank inheritance, to begin with.  It must have degraded and become F-Rank over time. Maybe there are still some stages like this that are harder than regular F-Rank. \'\' Raydon provided the only logical response.

\'Damn, it doesn\'t matter how much damage these arrows do to me, but at this rate, my items will be damaged.\'  Raydon thought as he looked at Fehim out of the corner of his eye.

The armor on him had now been completely transformed into full body armor, which also covered and protected all of his items.

Raydon\'s items would have been severely damaged if he hadn\'t had a sub-skill.

\'In the future, I should consider their durability when crafting items.\'  He considered.

\'\'Hahaha, there it is, the tomb. \'\'

Raydon looked ahead when he heard Fehim shout excitedly. He couldn\'t see anything at first because of the fog and distance, but after a little more running, he saw the black tomb in the rusted iron bars just like before.

\'Damn, this zombie has better vision than I do,\' Raydon grumbled.

He pulled his sword from his dimensional storage a few meters before they reached the tomb and began to parry and dodge the rushing arrows.

\'\'Wow, I thought your primary technique was for increasing physical endurance, but I believe you\'ve mastered swordsmanship techniques.\'\'  Fehim was unable to conceal his astonishment when he observed Raydon wielding a sword with perfect dexterity.

As a stamina-build item holder, the technique he learned before awakening was about increasing body toughness, and when he saw Raydon\'s defense, he assumed he had mastered a technique similar to his.

\'\'Well, I have a lot of techniques that I\'ve mastered.\'\' Raydon chuckled as he dodged the bone arrows raining down on him.

\'Many techniques? I think this person has a pretty solid background. \' Fehim thought.

In the midst of the sea of skeletons, he had also previously seen Raydon use step techniques. Families with multiple techniques at their disposal, particularly high-quality techniques like the sword technique Raydon was currently employing, were undoubtedly very powerful.

Fehim came to his senses after a brief moment of reflection, realizing that his previous rage at Raydon had nearly cost him his life.

\'I\'d rather have him as a friend than an enemy. \' At this point, Fehim\'s zombie mind appeared to have reached a reasonable conclusion.

While Fehim deliberated, they made it through the rusty iron-barred doors of the second tomb, but not before his cracked and arrow-riddled body armor finally gave out.

"Damn, I thought this would be easier. It will be some time before I can use this skill again. \'\' Fehim observed the shattered armor and deactivated his skill.

\'\'Yeah, we can rest later; for now, let\'s check the reward. \'\' Raydon smiled and said, pointing to the tomb\'s lid.

\'\'Yeah, I\'m curious, too,\'\' Fehim added, rubbing his hands together and staring at Tomb as he waited.

..

.

After a moment of awkward silence, Raydon turned to face the still-waiting Fehim, sighed, and then said. \'\'Can you just go ahead and break the lid? \'\'

It was clear that Raydon lacked the physical strength to break the tomb\'s lid, which was made of what felt like solid stone.
