Chapter 83 A Future Debt
\'\'Can\'t you lower the price a little more? \'\' Raydon asked bluntly. He believed the man would help him because of his good nature.
"Hmm, how much do you have?" Raydon really wanted the item, and the man could tell that he probably didn\'t have enough gold, so he squinted his eyes in recognition.
\'\'Eh, a total of 16.939 \'\' Raydon gave an honest response. He chose not to try to trick the man because his last chance to negotiate would be lost if the man somehow discovered that he was lying.
"Hohoho, you are a decent young man. I can see your resolve in your eyes, and I think you\'ll one day hold a lot of power. You owe me the difference in gold when I need something in the future, so give me 16.000 gold coins. \'\'
He said it with sincerity. Actually, what he did was not all that unusual. He was gaining himself a potential ally for the future by assisting someone who was in need at the time.
It was only natural for an item holder to request assistance from another item holder, and as the man had predicted, if Raydon rose to prominence and authority in the future, he might be able to repay his debt by lending a hand if he ever encountered difficulties.
"Thank you for having such high regard for me. If the time comes and you ever need anything I will gladly assist you with everything I have,\'\' Raydon said respectfully, slightly bowing his head.
Seeing Raydon\'s actions, the man nodded, believing he had made the correct decision.
\'\'Then it\'s yours. \'\' The man motioned for Raydon to pick up the item, and Raydon wasted no time pulling out 16,000 gold coins from his gold satchel and paying for it.
\'\'Again, I\'m grateful. I\'ll come to you when I have enough gold once more to get the attack-type item I\'m after. \'\' Raydon said with a smile, and when he saw the man nod his head and smile back, he turned and walked away.
The man watched Raydon turn and start to walk away for a moment, muttering to himself. "Those are most definitely not the eyes of a weakling. Either he is using a skill to conceal his strength, or my investigative-type item miscalculated his strength."
Given that he was constantly buying and selling items here, the man must have had the skill to keep an eye on his customers. He couldn\'t learn Raydon\'s full strength, but based on the information the skill provided, his level appeared to be very low.
The man, however, also relied on his feelings and years of experience. Like Fang, he had the same impression of Raydon at first. Either Raydon was a very strong item holder who hid his level, or he was a person of great potential.
\'\'Hohoho, it is far preferable to be friends with such mysterious people than to be enemies.\'\' The man laughed again and patted her big belly before returning to work.

\'I thought my gold coins would be enough to get both attack and movement items, but I could only get one.\' Raydon sighed as he exited the item shop. Although the attack-type item was crucial to him, he did not want to overlook this movement-type item.
\'There is nothing I can do right now, I\'ll buy it with what I win from the next match, \' Raydon muttered.
He returned the way he came, said goodbye to the owner of the antique shop, and returned home.

\'\'Despite his overweight body, he floats like a feather on glass shards. I can\'t believe how much he\'s improved. Could Fatty really be a genius? \'\' Pana looked at Sami, who was dancing on top of the broken glass and frowned.
\'\'The trick of this technique is to clear the mind. The more concentrated you are, the faster you will learn. Sami\'s mind was probably always clear because he was born an idiot. \'\' Karan chuckled.
\'\'Despite everything, no one has made as much progress as him.\'\' Karan turned his gaze to Dan, who was sitting with his legs crossed and meditating on one side. He was the one who had tried the hardest and made the most progress since Raydon had left.
\'\'That is correct, but keep in mind who taught us this technique. If it had been someone else, I\'m sure we wouldn\'t have learned as quickly and effectively. \'\'As she talked about Raydon, Pana was beaming. Like everyone else, she had developed a tremendous amount of respect for Raydon. Unknowingly, everyone had begun to idolize him.
\'\'Karan, if you have the energy to talk, you can keep practicing with me. \'\'
Karan sighed and turned to face Dan, who was approaching him. \'\'Aren\'t you tired yet? You\'re overworking yourself. \'\'
Dan was the only one of the group who practiced nonstop. He wasn\'t even sleeping when he was resting; he was just meditating. In fact, Karan saw his nose briefly bleed from how hard he had pushed himself, but he just wiped the blood away with the palm of his hand and kept training.
As a result of their training, they were expending mental energy and becoming mentally exhausted. He was concerned that Dan\'s extreme exertion would harm his brain.
\'\'Don\'t worry, I\'m fine. I push myself because I know what I\'m capable of. Let\'s stop talking and get started.\'\' Dan chuckled as he patted Karan on the shoulder.
\'\'If you say so, so be it.\'\' Unable to refuse, Karan accepted by shrugging.
Dan wasn\'t the only person working hard; others were as well. Although not as much as him, everyone had already gone beyond their limits.
The two returned to the puddle of glass shards. Meanwhile, the aunts, who were cleaning the blood stains on the glass shards one by one and reorganizing the shards, realized they had arrived and stepped back.
The only people in the warehouse who worked hard to train were not the ten Raydon had chosen. Apart from them, everyone else was doing their best to help these 10 people. Even some of them, including the crazy old grandfather, were attempting this training in their own unique way.
And those who were unable to do this training were doing everything they could to help them.
