Chapter 76 74- The Conflict Between The Seven Major Clans… Almost Coughing Up Blood From Anger
“Fe-Fei Yin, what do you think you're doing?!! Are you seriously going to kill me?! I’m from the Bai Clan and my grandfather is one of the side branch elders!! If you kill me your days alive would be numbered! Do you think you can leave the Academy then!!”
Bai Shin seemed to have lost all of his bravado and was screaming hysterically at the top of his lungs while he crawled away from Fei Yin.
Fei Yin spoke three simple words upon hearing Bai Shin’s hysterical cries.
“So be it.”
Hearing that, and seeing Fei Yin starting to approach him with his black sword, Bai Shin felt all the hairs on his burly body stand up and he didn’t see Fei Yin as a weak and lowly servant anymore but rather as a grim reaper that had come to reap his soul.
“N-NOOO!! Someone help!! I forfe- Thud!! Crack!!”
Before Bai Shin could forfeit his ranking match, Fei Yin’s eyes flickered with a cold light before his legs moved in a strange pattern that carried him next to Bai Shin, who was reaching towards the crowd with his severed hand, and then stomping hard on his head so much so a loud crack rang out.
The back of Bai Shin’s head was caved in from Fei Yin’s stomp, but he wasn’t dead.
Upon seeing this, Fei Yin raised his sword to bring it down on Bai Shin’s exposed neck.
The Bai Clan members in the crowd could no longer hold back their anger, and several of them bellowed out in outrage at Fei Yin’s actions, before a dozen of them all leaped onto the stage.
However, they were too late as Fei Yin mercilessly brought down his sword and severed Bai Shin's neck clean off.
“Fucking Bastard!!"
"You’re Dead!!”
The dozen or so Bai Clan members roared out in a chorus and rushed towards Fei Yin.
But Fei Yin only stood there with a cold expression on his face while a slight ridiculing grin appeared on the corner of his lips.
All of a sudden, a voice above the stage echoed out.
“Enough!!”
As the voice echoed out, a mighty force appeared out of thin air and swept up the Bai Clan members, and flung them unceremoniously off the stage.
The voice then said, “For disobeying the Academy rules and trying to attack a fellow disciple during a ranking match, all of you are sentenced to three months inside the Demon Sealing Grotto!!”
When the Bai Clan members heard the voice’s words, their faces were filled with anger and indignation.
“Discipline Elder Zhong!! This bastard kill young master Shin when he was trying to forfeit!! How are we being punished when this bastard walks free?!!”
“I was listening closely and I heard no such words being uttered by that cowardly Bai Clan brat. However, you lot broke the Celestial Academy's rules by trying to attack a fellow disciple. That is the most enforced law in our Academy, and you lot broke it!! If you had wanted to take revenge for your fellow Clan member, then follow the Celestial Academy rules and extend a challenge to disciple Yin!!”
Several of the Bai Clan members gritted their teeth when they hear Discipline Elder Zhong’s words, and were glaring at Fei Yin with unconcealed murderous intent in their eyes.
However, a voice from one of the Bai Clan youths' suddenly sounded out.
“You! You're just saying that just because you're from the Zhong Clan. You chose to ignore Bai Shin’s cry for help and him trying to forfeit because of the grudge between our Bai Clan and Zhong Clan!!”
That disciple was looking up at the sky with rage, but Discipline Elder Zhong only let out a snort before a palm materialized in front of the youth and slammed into his chest, sending him flying back with a fountain of blood pouring out of his mouth.
Discipline Elder Zhong could then be heard saying, “So what if I am? A brat like you talking to your elders like that deserves to be punished. All of you filth's from the Bai Clan should just rot in hell. As for you stinking brat, your sentence has just increased from three months to a year!”
“Get them out of my Colosseum Arena!!”
As Discipline Elder Zhong screamed those last words, several disciples in black robes who were a part of the Discipline Division in the Academy, walked up to the Bai Clan members and arrested them by sealing their cultivation bases before carrying them off.
Everyone in the crowd had been staring at Fei Yin like he was some sort of demon from out of hell, but as soon as Elder Zhong showed up and punish the Bai Clan disciples, they couldn't help but have weird expressions on their faces.
It was obvious that the Bai Clan youth from before was telling the truth. Disciple Elder Zhong was from the Zhong Clan and had been appointed by the Academy to oversee the Colosseum Arena.
This wasn’t the first time he had made things difficult for the Bai Clan members, but he had always done so within his authority so the Bai Clan had no way to deal with him. And even now, since Bai Shin had not finished calling out forfeit to end the match, Elder Zhong could say that he didn’t hear it and the Bai Clan couldn’t place the blame on him for letting one of their members be executed.
He was basically using Fei Yin to make the Bai Clan suffer a slap to their face.
However, Xi Shen saw this differently. To him, it looked like Fei Yin had used the fact that Elder Zhong was from the Zhong Clan and had a bad relationship with the Bai Clan, to kill Bai Shin.
The thing is, if it was someone else that was in charge of the Battle Colosseum Arena, they wouldn’t have allowed Fei Yin to deal the finishing blow since Bai Shin was still considered a Celestial Academy disciple, and a valuable Inner Disciple at that.
Xi Shen had curiosity flickering in his eyes, as he watched Fei Yin leave the stage and disappear into the crowd.
Thinking for a moment, Xi Shen’s figure disappeared as well and followed Fei Yin who was heading in the direction of the outskirts of the Inner Academy.
Among the trees a distance away from the Inner Academy, Fei Yin’s figure could be seen leaping from tree to tree in a zigzag manner.
After a couple of minutes, his figure burst forth with more speed before he leaped into the dense foliage on a tall tree.
Fei Yin then rein in his aura and closed his eyes. His breathing slowed down and it seemed as if his aura had harmonized with his surroundings, his presence completely vanishing in the process.
Fei Yin stay like that for an hour but still had not moved an inch.
Then after three hours have passed with Fei Yin not sensing any movement in the surroundings, he finally open his eyes and leaped down from the tree.
Looking around for a brief moment, and only hearing the chirping of birds and occasional insect noises, he let out a sigh before completely relaxing.
He then turned in a particular direction and using his movement technique his legs moved, carrying his figure several dozen meters ahead. He didn’t stop and only continued to get faster and faster, heading deeper into the forest.
After a minute or two, his figure slowed down and walked into a thirty-meter clearing. In this clearing, there was only a small pond, or rather a waterhole since it was very small only around two to three meters in diameter.
Fei Yin casually made his way to the waterhole, before he sat at the edge and pulled out his black long sword from its black scabbard.
Fei Yin then placed his sword horizontal in front of him before scooping up some of the water from the waterhole in his palm and began washing off Bai Shin’s blood from his sword and scabbard.
This took a while since the blood had begun to dry on the sword and scabbard's surface, but Fei Yin had managed to get them spotless in a few minutes.
After that, he held up the sword and look into it. There, he saw a reflection of his face which was covered in blood. If one were to compare him to four years ago he would be unrecognizable.
His somewhat dull eyes radiated gloominess, and his face was stuck in a state of coldness that could have made winter seem like spring. His once innocent and childish aura from before was replaced with indifference and a detached feeling.
While looking at his reflection inside the sword, Fei Yin’s cold voice suddenly spoke up, “How long are you going to stay hidden? You might as well show yourself and stop hiding.”
As Fei Yin’s voice echoed into the silent forest, Xi Shen who was casually sitting on a nearby branch swinging his legs nonchalantly like a little child on a field trip, almost slipped and fall from surprise.
‘Huh? Did he sense me? How is that even possible, are his senses that sharp?’
Xi Shen could see Fei Yin from where he was and he couldn’t help but look at him with suspicion.
Then all of a sudden, Fei Yin’s body started to give off a strong sense of bloodlust before he spoke again, this time it sounded like a wild beast growling in anger, “Do you think I’m a fool? If you won’t come out I’ll make you come out!”
Fei Yin’s shout echoed into the forest, and Xi Shen upon seeing this scene was extremely taken aback, he couldn't believe this Fei Yin had discovered his presence. From the looks of it, he seemed to know that someone was hiding but didn’t know where.
‘His senses must be really keen for a 7th stage Foundation Realm cultivator to be able to sense me.’
As Xi Shen thought that to himself, he was just about to deactivate his concealment technique and show himself, but a thought suddenly hit him and his face turned extremely red.
‘Wait a minute, this brat, is he…?’
As Xi Shen thought that, he sat back down on the tree branch and chose not to show himself. He wanted to see something.
Like this, Xi Shen watched through narrowed eyes and after a minute had passed, Fei Yin’s bloodlust vanish into thin air before he let out a sigh of relief.
Seeing that Fei Yin was only acting, Xi Shen almost coughed up blood from anger.
