Chapter 210 - Powerful Alyssa
Alyssa\'s moans were muffled against his hand. She shuddered against him, tightening her legs around his waist as he finished inside of her. She mewled softly at the feeling, eventually going nearly limp against him as her energy left her.
Elias gently nuzzled his face against the crook of her neck, breathing her in. He carefully set her back down on the ground with a soft laugh.
"That was good," he said, glancing around to make sure that no one was still around. Luckily, it was just them and darkness. He would never hear the end of it if they were caught messing around.
"That was crazy," Alyssa smirked as she pulled her shorts back on.
Elias adjusted his jeans before leaning forward to press a soft kiss against her lips. He smiled into the kiss, feeling her copy him. This was a good moment after a surprising victory. He wanted to keep the momentum up.
"Crazy good," he said as he pulled away.
Alyssa laughed and shook her head at him. She fixed her hair and clothes, trying not to look like they just hooked up.
"We should get back to the others," he told her, figuring that they had been gone long enough. He was glad that they snuck away, though. He jumped on any opportunity that he could to spend some time alone with her.
"What are we even going to say?" she asked.
"I was comforting you. You were scared for me, even if you were actually turned on," Elias smirked, teasing her. He took her hand and led her back around the building to the RV, feeling his heart still racing.
He was on a high, and he wanted to ride it out and get even stronger. Alaric was coming, and he was going to be ready.
*******
The next few days were all about training, even if it was a little cramped doing it on the RV. It was better for them to keep moving but to keep practicing as well.
They just had to make do with what they had so that they could all stay safe. If Alaric\'s lackies were catching up to them, then Alaric couldn\'t be far behind.
"Okay, you\'re being a showoff!" Melina laughed as Elias created a small, controlled flame in his hand.
Elias shrugged with a smirk on his face.
Melina muttered something in Latin beneath her breath before rubbing her hands together. She grabbed his hand, extinguishing the flame with ease.
"Ouch! That\'s cold!" Elias grimaced as he yanked his hand away, shaking it. "What did you do?"
"I know some element spells. If you\'re going to fight with fire, I have ice up my sleeve," Melina replied with a bold look.
Elias grinned and nodded, feeling impressed. She always had some sort of trick up her sleeve. She knew a lot about magic and used it to her advantage.
They both had their own strengths to add, which made them more of a threat to Alaric. He wanted to be as much of a threat as possible.
He didn\'t believe that Alaric would ever back down, no matter how powerful they became. However, it gave them a better advantage to beating him.
"Can you show Alyssa that healing spell again?" Tyler spoke up from the sofa. He grimaced as he looked down at small cuts on his forearms.
Alyssa looked over with a sheepish look. She had a spell book on her lap, and a bowl of herbs next to her.
"I\'m saying the right words and mixing the right herbs. I don\'t know why I can\'t heal these tiny cuts," she sighed.
Melina smiled and leaned closer to Alyssa.
"You have to really believe in what you\'re doing. Not everyone can be as powerful as a born witch, but people who believe can practice low level magic. It\'s all about connecting with the world around you," she replied.
"That\'s easier said than done," Alyssa sighed as she looked over at Tyler. "Sorry."
"It\'s fine. Just remember that you\'re already a healer," Tyler pointed out before offering his forearm to her again.
"You\'ve got this," Elias told Alyssa. He had watched her recite spells and study herbs since the trip began, and she certainly seemed passionate about learning low level healing magic.
He was glad for her. She got to practice healing even away from her job.
Alyssa nodded and read over the spell one more time before breathing in deeply and closing her eyes.
She reached her hand into the bowl, collecting a small amount of the poultice on her fingertips as she recited the passage in Latin. She pressed her fingertips over one of Tyler\'s cuts, narrowing her eyes as she focused.
Melina\'s smile steadily grew across her face as she watched. When Alyssa pulled her fingers away and the cut had turned into a small white line of a healed cut, she nodded her head in a proud motion.
"See? You just have to believe that you can heal them. You\'ve healed way worse than that!" Melina said.
"Yeah, with modern surgical procedures and medicine," Alyssa said with a shrug. She still looked happy, though. She released Tyler\'s arm and cleaned off her hands.
"It\'s just another form of healing," Melina said as she glanced over at her brother. "Your girl is very powerful in her own way."
"I know," Elias replied as he peered at Alyssa lovingly. "I don\'t know what I\'d do without her."
Alyssa blushed and moved to sit in his lap, curling her arms around his neck as he hugged her close.
"We\'ve already been without each other. Not too fun," she reminded him.
"Not at all," Elias said as he rubbed her back. He was practicing so hard so that they weren\'t ever separated again, especially by death.
Their love story had a while left to go. He glanced back toward the front of the RV. "Scott, how are you holding up?"
"I\'m getting tired. I\'ll pull over in a few hours and switch with Tyler," Scott replied, mumbling through his response.
"Well, pull over before you fall asleep. I doubt any of us wants to die that way," Elias said, prompting a scoff from Scott.. He looked back over at Melina. "Do you think we\'re ready to fight Alaric?"
