Chapter 64 - Hot And Bothered
Alyssa wasn't too worried about her world literature and philosophy exams. Since they were general classes, they didn't have as much weight as the classes involved in her actual major.
She still studied hard for them, but she didn't pay half as much attention as she did to her science classes.
She was ready to finish this exam week off and get to the good part of the week. She grabbed her things and headed out of the dorm.
She told Elias that she would meet him for a few minutes before her world literature exam. She didn't feel the need to cram any more before this exam. It was nice to relax a bit.
Her other two exams, microbiology and organic chemistry, went fairly well. She had studied hard and did what she could on the exams.
She hoped for low A's at the lowest, but she wouldn't know any of her exam grades until the end of the week.
Then, she would know where she stood with her scholarship.
Alyssa walked into the liberal arts building and saw Elias lingering down at the bottom of the quiet hall. She smiled to herself and continued down the hall to meet him.
"We've almost made it," she told him. It was at least Wednesday. This week felt so long, like it was dragging by.
Elias turned his head to smile at her as he leaned against the wall. He pushed himself off and embraced her, enjoying the sweet smell of her hair.
"So close," he said as they held each other.
Alyssa sank into his arms for a few seconds, taking the moment to enjoy being so close to him. The days felt so long without him.
She wished they had more than one class together, but they'd be lucky to even have one class together next semester since their majors were so different.
"Do you have any exams today?" she asked him as they drifted apart. They still stood close to one another.
Elias nodded as he pushed his fingers into his hair to draw the strands back.
"For one of my business classes. I'm not worried about it, though. I bet you could do this world lit exam with your eyes closed," he mused as he nudged her.
Alyssa shrugged with a coy smile.
"Maybe so," she replied. She liked that he saw her as intelligent. It was one of the few aspects about herself that she was proud of.
She worked so hard to know as much as she could, to be one of the smartest people in the room. It was nice for that to be acknowledged, especially by someone who meant a lot to her.
Elias put his arm around her shoulders and pressed a kiss to her temple.
"My girl is a genius," he said adoringly before leaning close to her ear. "Intelligence is so sexy."
Alyssa felt herself blush as she placed her hand on his chest.
He so easily got her fired up, like striking a match. She wondered if she had the same effect on him.
"No flirting until the end of the week. I don't need to be hot and bothered during my exam," she warned him.
She could already see herself squirming in her seat at the thought of him. She used to never have such a problem until she met him.
"Oh, I get you hot and bothered?" Elias teased her as he ran his hands up her sides. He backed her up against the wall, gazing at her with a glint in his eyes.
Alyssa glanced up and down the hallway. No one was around. They were all in the classrooms taking their exams. It was just them.
Heat pulsed through her heavily as his chest pressed against hers. She crossed her arms and tilted her head up, trying not to look as affected as she actually felt.
"Just a tiny bit," she replied. Obviously, that was a lie. He affected her in more ways than she could count to an intense degree. She just wanted to play a little because it was too fun not to.
Elias smirked down at her as he placed his hand on the wall next to her head. His free hand roamed up her side.
"Really? Just a little?" Elias teased her as he rested his forehead against hers.
Alyssa's eyes flickered down to his lips as he came close to her. She could feel his breath lightly fanning against her lips, and there was nothing she wanted to do more than to kiss him.
"Unless you can prove me otherwise," she responded. She could hardly believe her own boldness, but something about the way he made her feel just made her anxieties start to fall away. She felt bolder and sexier under his gaze than at any other time.
Elias surged forward and crashed his lips against hers. He cupped her face as he pressed her against the wall.
Alyssa gasped into his mouth, but she soon caught up. Her lips pushed and glided against his.
Their movements were hungry and chaotic, tasting and feeling. They were catching up on so much wasted time.
She parted her lips and felt the soft lash of his tongue against hers. The sensation nearly made her moan aloud.
Elias grabbed her hips, pulling them against his own. It felt like he was everywhere, touching all over her body.
He started to kiss along her jaw to her neck when he heard noise from down the hallway as students started to pour out of the classroom. He stepped away from her with a devilish smile.
"You got lucky. I wanted to do so much more to you," he murmured.
Alyssa brushed her hair back from her face as she caught her breath. Her heart was hammering in her chest as she tried to compose herself and not act like she just got done making out with him in the hallway.
"Guess I'll just have to fantasize while answering questions about The Great Gatsby,"
