Chapter 414 - 414 - They Look Happy
Soo Yin was in the classroom. She looked like she was listening to the lecturer who was giving a course. But her mind wandered far away somewhere.
Jae-hwa who was sitting right next to her occasionally nudged her when the lecturer asked her a question. Luckily last night she had studied it a bit so it wasn\'t too difficult for Soo Yin to answer.
"Soo Yin, what\'s wrong with you today? Are you sick?" Jae-hwa knitted his brows worriedly to see her today who was so gloomy and uninspired.
"No, I\'m fine," said Soo Yin, trying to put on a faint smile.
"But, you look unwell today. We should ask permission to go home, let me take you home," said Jae-hwa.
"Thanks, but I\'m really fine. You don\'t have to worry." Soo Yin tried to make her face as bright as possible so that Jae-hwa wouldn\'t take her home.
"Okay." Jae-hwa was relieved to see that Soo Yin had started taking classes even though she seemed forced.
Without realising, it was now afternoon. There was a reluctance feeling for Soo Yin to go home too soon. It just so happened that when she was about to leave campus, she met Hyo Rin and the others.
"Soo Yin, let\'s go to cinema. This afternoon there is a good movie. Let\'s go for a walk together," said Hyo Rin.
"I\'m coming," said Soo Yin without a second thought. Looked like watching movie was a good idea. It had been a long time since she rarely met Jean.
======
They went to one of the biggest malls in Seoul. They wanted to eat before watching movies. The film schedule was still long so they decided to go around looking for typical knick-knacks that were usually liked by young people.
"Soo Yin, why do you look so dispirited?" Mi Na said curiously.
Since then, Soo Yin\'s face was downcast with pouting lips.
"Is there any problem?" Mi Na continued.
"Not at all," said Soo Yin quickly.
"Looks like you need to drink or eat with chocolate ingredients to be more excited," said Yoon-ah.
"Right, I want to eat it too," said Hyo Rin.
Soo Yin just gave up when they grabbed her wrist. They continued walking towards a cafe that sold food and drinks made of chocolate.
They were now sitting in a circle in front of the table while waiting for their orders to arrive.
"Soo Yin, come on don\'t be sad like that. Tell me did you have a fight with your lover?" Yoon-ah asked.
"N… no," Soo Yin stuttered. To her this was scarier than the fight they had.
"It\'s impossible for them to fight. Soo Yin\'s boyfriend is very kind," said Hyo Rin.
Soo Yin frowned. Felt suspicious about Hyo Rin knowing her relationship with Dae Hyun.
"Do you know who he is?" Mi Na asked Hyo Rin with a gleam on her face.
"I\'m just guessing," Hyo Rin said while grinning.
Their conversation was cut short when the waitress came to bring their orders.
Soo Yin ordered a chocolate parfait with fruit pieces inside. She started to enjoy it, indeed eating something made of chocolate made her mood better. Maybe Soo Yin should ask Aunt Xia to prepare that food when needed.
They enjoyed the order while chatting. Soo Yin was now able to start mingling with their conversation.
Half an hour had passed, it was time to watch a movie in the cinema.
"You guys go in first, I want to go to the toilet for a bit," Soo Yin said.
"Okay, don\'t take too long."
Soo Yin nodded her head, then rushed to the toilet in the mall. When passing by the children\'s playground, at first glance Soo Yin seemed to see Dae Hyun was playing a game with Jo Yeon Ho.
Soo Yin immediately hid herself to peek behind the wall so she wouldn\'t be seen.
In there, Dae Hyun was playing a car race with his son. His face seemed to glow with a crisp laugh interspersed with it. The man looked happy, unlike his usual flat attitude.
Soo Yin\'s chest felt tighter and tighter. Her hollow chest cavity burned with jealousy when she saw that Aeri was with them.
Soo Yin smiled bitterly looking at them who seemed like a very happy family. Jo Yeon Ho laughed so cheerfully while riding the car with his father.
"No wonder you didn\'t contact me," Soo Yin said with a chuckle. She wanted to believe everything that Dae Hyun had said. But in reality, Soo Yin couldn\'t bear to see them laughing together.
Soo Yin already stood there for 15 minutes. Observed them, Dae Hyun seemed close to Aeri. Trust that had been built was now collapsing.
Soo Yin couldn\'t stand to see the happy look on their faces anymore.
Aeri accidentally turned to Soo Yin until their eyes met for a moment. Soo Yin then turned her gaze to another direction. She then immediately left because she didn\'t want Dae Hyun to see her.
Soo Yin washed her face before getting out of the bathroom. She closed her eyes for a moment to let the bad thoughts disappear from her memory.
"Hmmmm."
Soo Yin opened her eyes when she heard a familiar female voice was ringing in her ear.
"Hey, are you following us on purpose?" quipped Aeri with a very happy feeling.
"What am I following you guys for? Is it important to me?" Soo Yin spoke calmly as she looked at her face in the mirror. Wiped the remnants of water stuck to her skin with a tissue.
"Don\'t pretend. How much money did Dae Hyun give you?" said Aeri sarcastically.
"What do you mean?" Soo Yin narrowed her eyes as she looked at Aeri from the mirror reflection because the woman was now standing right behind her.
"Don\'t pretend. Don\'t you and Dae Hyun have a relationship? I want to know how much money my husband gave you so you want to spend the night with him," Aeri sneered with a crooked smile.
