Chapter 385 - 385
Dae Hyun and Aeri suddenly turned towards the wide open door. Their position was not pleasing to the eye.
There, Jo Yeon Ho stood with bloodshot eyes. His hands clenched into fists as he saw his mother was sitting on her knees with tears in her eyes.
"Yeon Ho?" Dae Hyun was really surprised by the sudden arrival of his son there. Hopefully he didn\'t listen to anything they said.
Now Dae Hyun\'s feet felt heavy to take a step toward his son. It seemed that Jo Yeon Ho had thought of him badly.
"Aeri, stand up." Dae Hyun helped Aeri to stand up because he didn\'t want his son to think anything wrong.
"Father is evil!" exclaimed Jo Yeon Jo then ran to Aeri. He was hiding behind Aeri who was already standing.
Dae Hyun rubbed his hair roughly. Jo Yeon Ho must have heard what they were talking about. He had grown up so he can already digest what adults said.
"Yeon Ho, come here with father," Dae Hyun coaxed as he stretched out his hand to grab his tiny hand. But Jo Yeon Ho immediately brushed it off.
"No, I hate father!" shouted the boy angrily.
"Father is cruel for making my mother cry," he added again.
Aeri smiled at her son\'s words. She knew that Dae Hyun loved Jo Yeon Ho more than anything. Maybe it was the time to use Jo Yeon to survive in this house.
Aeri then sat down on her knees in front of her son. Her hand reached out to caress his soft cheek.
"Yeon Ho, maybe soon we won\'t be able to live together anymore. Because your father will have a new wife and will leave mother," said Aeri with tears in her eyes. The tears easily escaped from her eyes.
"Aeri, what are you doing? Don\'t involve Yeon Ho in our business," said Dae Hyun who was already getting emotional. Jo Yeon Ho was still too young to hear such a thing. That was why they had always pretended to be harmonious in front of their son.
"I just want him to know about this. Even though he is still young, Yeon Ho must also know so that later he won\'t feel surprised," Aeri said between sobs. Her hand stroked Jo Yeon Ho\'s cheek.
"Why did you make mother cry?" said Jo Yeon with angry eyes toward his father.
"Honey, it\'s not what you think," Dae Hyun said softly. Then crouched down in front of his son. But the boy inched backwards and was hiding behind Aeri.
"Yeon Ho, if mother and father are separated, who will you stay with?" said Aeri. Wanted to give a choice to her son. She hoped the kid will choose her. Dae Hyun definitely didn\'t want that to happen.
"I\'ll just be with mom," said Jo Yeon Ho. Then hugged Aeri\'s body.
"Thank you, honey," Aeri said with a sense of victory because she had succeeded in making Jo Yeon Ho choose her. Most likely her position will be saved.
"Yeon Ho, don\'t listen to anything your mother says," Dae Hyun snapped. He couldn\'t be separated from his son.
"Come here with father. Let\'s go for a walk again," Dae Hyun coaxed, wanted to hug his tiny body.
"I do not want!" Jo Yeon Ho shouted while pushing Dae Hyun\'s body out of the room.
Dae Hyun took a deep breath. It seemed that his son was really angry with him. Maybe it was best to talk later when he felt better. He was sure that his son was only still emotionally carried away because of Aeri\'s words that were constantly convincing that he was the one here who was at fault.
Aeri wanted to laugh seeing the look on Dae Hyun\'s face that looked frustrated because of Jo Yeon Ho\'s refusal. Because that kid was usually very obedient to Dae Hyun.
Dae Hyun wanted to scold Aeri but couldn\'t do it in front of Jo Yeon Ho because the kid would hate him even more.
"Mother, I want to always be with you," said Jo Yeon Ho spoiled.
"Of course, dear. We will never be separated," Aeri said, felt very happy. Her efforts all this time to do good with the child was not in vain.
"Okay, I better get off first," said Dae Hyun. It was useless to persuade Jo Yeon Ho at the wrong time because he won\'t believe his words.
Dae Hyun immediately left the two of them in the room. Only someone who can bring him closer to his son. Later he will ask for the help. Because there was no way Aeri would let him close to the kid again. Aeri knew that Dae Hyun can never be away from his son.
Dae Hyun chose to go to his study to take his laptop. Today even though his intention was to leave at noon. However, due to chaos, Dae Hyun was forced to leave the house quickly.
"Dae Hyun, why are you in such a hurry?" said Mrs. Park when walking down the stairs at a brisk pace.
"I\'m going to work, Mom," Dae Hyun said flatly.
"Breakfast first, then leave. Where are Jo Yeon Ho and Aeri?" said Mrs. Park while knitting her eyebrows.
"I\'m not in the mood to eat. They\'re in the room," said Dae Hyun. He couldn\'t help but stop for a moment.
"I heard from the maid that last night that Aeri came home drunk?" asked Mrs. Park.
"Hmmm," Dae Hyun said while massaging his temples.
"Geez, I thought she has changed and doesn\'t want to drink alcohol anymore. Doesn\'t she realize that if Jo Yeon Ho sees her it will be bad," Mrs. Park said. She was a good woman who grew up in a respectable family. That was why she rarely drank alcohol. Even though she drank, she only wanted a low level.
One more thing Mrs. Park really didn\'t like a woman who was drunk.
Dae Hyun hadn\'t left yet, it turned out that Aeri and Jo Yeon Ho had followed him. The boy hid behind Aeri by holding on to her shirt.
"Yeon Ho, why are you hiding like that?" said Mrs. Park, she reached out to grab his grandson\'s arm.
Yeon Ho then ran past Dae Hyun towards Mrs. Park as he stared intently at the man.
Mrs. Park felt something strange with her grandson. It was unusual for him to act like that towards his father.
"Yeon Ho, what\'s wrong with you?" Mrs. Park frowned.
"I hate father! Father has made mom cry," said Jo Yeon Ho once again.
"What does all this mean?" Mrs. Park looked alternately at her daughter-in-law and son. She smelled something wrong. Looked like Dae Hyun really wanted to carry out his intention to part with Aeri and Jo Yeon Ho heard it.
"I gotta go," said Dae Hyun then left them without answering his mother\'s question. Just let Aeri explain it because he didn\'t want to argue..
