Chapter 377 - 377 - Awkward
Soo Yin bit her lower lip as she was about to touch the doorknob. There was a worry in her heart. Until finally Soo Yin got the courage to slowly the door slowly.
"Good morning, everyone," Soo Yin said as she bowed. Then stepped inside after closing the door again.
"Darling, you're finally here." Mrs. Park immediately got up from her seat, then greeted her with a warm hug.
Soo Yin felt comfortable like feeling a hug from her birth mother that she had longed for. She hoped that if Mrs. Park's attitude to her will remain forever like that.
"Honey, how about your college? Is everything going well?" asked Mrs. Park while letting go of her hug.
"Everything is fine, Mother. Sorry I just came here again because the first entry really made me busy," said Soo Yin. She glanced at Park Soo Hyun who wrapped his body in the blanket
Park Soo Hyun hadn't removed his headgear yet. Still hid his head under the blanket in a tilted position. He thought that Li Sa would come back after leaving so just in case, he still stuck with what he did earlier.
"Thank God, I'm glad to hear that," said Mrs. Park.
"Unnie, we haven't seen each other for a long time," Jo Yeon Ho said, while hugging Soo Yin's leg. He hid his head on Soo Yin's legs.
"Right, how are you?" Soo Yin crouched down in front of the child to match their height.
"I'm fine. Next time, we should go out with father again," Jo Yeon Ho said innocently.
"Of… of course," Soo Yin stuttered. Felt anxious if Mrs. Park suspected them.
"Did you guys often go out together?" Mrs. Park raised her eyebrows. Felt strange because when with Aeri, they were rarely together.
"Only that time, Mother," Soo Yin stuttered.
"Too bad Park Soo Hyun is sleeping even though I've brought food for breakfast. I seem to have come too late today." Soo Yin tried to divert the conversation so that her mother-in-law wouldn't ask further because she wasn't very good at lying.
When hearing Soo Yin's voice, Park Soo Hyun's heart was relieved. The flower in his heart that began to wither, now seemed to be watered. Made it fresh again. Park Soo Hyun was still in his position. He smiled to himself while holding his chest which was beating fast. But when he heard Soo Yin who sounded desperate because she thought he was asleep, Park Soo Hyun pretended to squirm.
"I didn't sleep," said Park Soo Hyun. Then turned his body into a supine position. Afraid that Soo Yin will leave the hospital.
"I thought you were really asleep," said Mrs. Park.
"No, Mom. After trying to close my eyes, but the drowsiness doesn't come," said Park Soo Hyun.
"How are you now? Are you getting better?" asked Soo Yin. At least knowing that Park Soo Hyun had recovered made her feel at ease.
"As long as you're not here, Park Soo Hyun is not enthusiastic about his walking therapy. Sometimes he doesn't even want to do it," said Mrs. Park while chuckling.
"You shouldn't be like that. You have to keep your spirits up to recover quickly," said Soo Yin.
"Then accompany me to do therapy today," said Park Soo Hyun.
"Have you had breakfast? If not, I brought food for you," said Soo Yin, who almost forgot what she brought.
"Park Soo Hyun did not want to eat since earlier. Mother even persuaded him but he still didn't want to," said Mrs. Park who answered everytime Park Soo Hyun just wanted to open his mouth.
"Since you rarely come, he is not enthusiastic about his treatment," added Mrs. Park.
Soo Yin was stunned for a moment. Was it true what her mother-in-law said? Her current position was very difficult. On the other hand, she wanted to obey her husband's will not to be too close to any man. On the other hand, she didn't have the heart to Park Soo Hyun because after all, Soo Yin still felt guilty about what happened to him.
"Mother? Can you not say it? You make me feel embarrassed," said Park Soo Hyun. Felt embarrassed that his mother was too honest about telling Soo Yin everything even though that was what really happened.
"He even asks about you almost all the time," whispered Mrs. Park in Soo Yin's ear without caring about her son's CNN protests.
Soo Yin only responded with a faint smile.
"You shouldn't be like that. You have to recover like how you used to. You have to be enthusiastic," said Soo Yin.
"Okay, then accompany me to learn to walk. But not here, I want to enjoy the fresh air outside," asked Park Soo Hyun.
"It's better to have breakfast first. Only then, you can do it," said Mrs. Park to make Park Soo Hyun even more excited.
"Hmm, alright." Park Soo Hyun nodded his head, agreed to his mother's request. Soo Yin's arrival made his mood improve and his spirit to recover even greater.
Soo Yin smiled faintly at Mrs. Park. Then put the food she brought on the nightstand.
"Yeon Ho, let's accompany grandma to the supermarket," said Mrs. Park to her favorite grandson. She could understand that maybe her presence would not make her son and Soo Yin comfortable.
"Mother, where are you going?" Soo Yin asked quickly. She had a hunch that her mother-in-law deliberately let her to be with Park Soo Hyun.
"Soo Yin, please take care of Park Soo Hyun for a moment. I just want to go out for a while to buy something," Mrs. Park said.
Before Soo Yin had time to open her mouth to stop her, Mrs. Park had asked Yeon Ho to leave the room. The situation was very awkward.
Park Soo Hyun actually felt relaxed when his mother was about to leave. That meant there was plenty of time for them to be together. His mother was the best at reading his mind.
