Chapter 319 - 319 - Won't Part
Dae Hyun went straight to Yeon Ho\'s room because he didn\'t want to meet Aeri. His intention to dodge turned out to be wrong because in Yeon Ho\'s room, there was already Aeri who was still awake. She was putting the storybook on the nightstand.
Dae Hyun wanted to leave but he had already entered. With heavy steps Dae Hyun still approached her.
"What are you doing in here?" Dae Hyun asked just to make small talk.
"Do I have to answer? You don\'t even know what your son wants now. Every night he wants me to call you so you can go home," Aeri said. Now she intended to change her strategy in defense. Won\'t be begging as much as usual. She will be indifferent because she knew Dae Hyun was not the type of guy who was easy to seduce.
"Why didn\'t you call me then?" Dae Hyun now asked back.
The thing that Dae Hyun disliked the most about Aeri was that she was always good at battling tongues. Even if Aeri was wrong, she will never admit it.
"Aren\'t you with that cheap woman? How could I dare to interfere," Aeri pouted to provoke Dae Hyun to get emotional.
Dae Hyun realized that Aeri just wanted to make him angry so he chose to leave his son\'s room, afraid that Jo Yeon Ho will wake up hearing their words. Which was getting more and more emotional.
Aeri was about to call Dae Hyun but didn\'t want to. She didn\'t want to act like a beggar asking for mercy from now on. There was a sense of irritation at not being able to provoke Dae Hyun\'s anger.
Aeri peeked at Dae Hyun who was slowly out of sight. Actually, she accidentally found out if Dae Hyun came home. So she rushed to Yeon Ho\'s room, pretending to have just read a fairy tale to him.
From now on she will treat the child even better so that Dae Hyun didn\'t want to divorce her. She will persuade her son so he didn\'t want to be introduced to any foreign woman including Soo Yin.
Aeri returned to her room to sleep soundly. Aeri didn\'t know if Dae Hyun had resigned yet so she still felt safe. With Dae Hyun being the number one person made her life easier. That was why Aeri desperately maintained her status as his wife.
Dae Hyun chose to sleep in the guest room tonight. The image of Aeri putting medicine into his drink was still vivid.
Dae Hyun threw his body on the bed. While staring at the white ceiling, observing every detail while thinking. If it wasn\'t for his mother who asked him to come home, it would be better if he went back to Pyeongchang-dong villa instead.
Could hug Soo Yin\'s body tightly. The thought of him spending the night with his little wife made Dae Hyun\'s mind long to meet her. He looked at the clock, it was already eleven o\'clock. He wanted to send a message but was afraid to disturb his wife\'s rest.
Dae Hyun put his phone back on the nightstand. Then he closed his eyes so he could fall asleep. But he imagined that Soo Yin smiled seductively as if she was now in front of his eyes. Dae Hyun really couldn\'t sleep so he sat back down and grabbed his phone again.
There\'s nothing wrong with trying rather than making him curious.
[Honey, are you asleep?] Dae Hyun was not good at expressing his heart through writing so he only typed as necessary.
[No, I can\'t sleep] It didn\'t take long for the reply message to arrive.
[You must be missing me now. Come let me hug you]
[Just hug Aeri]
Dae Hyun turned sour when he read Soo Yin\'s reply.
[Alright, then good night. I will spend my time tonight with Aeri] Dae Hyun replied to tease his little wife.
After that, there was no more answer from his wife. Dae Hyun guessed that Soo Yin must be angry.
Dae Hyun finally got out of bed and put on his coat. Instead of not being able to sleep, it was better for him to just go home to Pyeongchang-dong villa.
He had just stepped when he heard a knock on the door. Dae Hyun thought that it was Aeri so he just let it go for a while without any intention of opening the door.
"Dae Hyun, are you asleep?" A voice was heard calling out to him from outside.
"Grandmother?" Dae Hyun muttered. He quickly stood in front of the door and slowly opened it.
"What\'s wrong, Grandma?" Dae Hyun said while raising his eyebrows.
"Grandma wants to talk to you," Hae Sok said and then stepped forward to the terrace.
Dae Hyun followed his grandmother\'s footsteps without asking much.
"It\'s better to talk inside, Grandma. It\'s very cold outside," Dae Hyun said.
"In here the wind is very fresh," said Hae Sok briefly.
Dae Hyun shifted the chair for his grandmother\'s seat. He then sat down in one of the chairs opposite the table.
The air outside was blowing quite hard. Hae Sok tightened her coat to reduce the shivering.
Seeing his cold grandmother, Dae Hyun took off his coat and put it on his grandmother\'s shoulders.
Dae Hyun remained silent while waiting for Hae Sok to start a conversation.
"Can\'t you two separate?" Hae Sok broke the silence between them after a while.
The question that came out of Hae Sok\'s lips really cornered Dae Hyun if his grandmother asked him to separate from Soo Yin.
"Never, Grandma," said Dae Hyun because he already knew where their conversation was going.
"Can\'t you make sacrifices for your grandfather and brother?" Hae Sok looked at Dae Hyun who still had a straight face.
"I think this has been enough to sacrifice my time. For Park Soo Hyun\'s problem, I can\'t do it," Dae Hyun said with a straight look ahead.
"Don\'t you think about your brother\'s feelings if he finds out everything?"
"I\'ve thought about it, that\'s why until now I\'m still hiding my relationship." Daehyun closed his eyes for a moment.
"Grandma knows that you don\'t love Aeri but your decision to part with her will definitely hurt Yeon Ho\'s heart," said the woman.
"I\'m sure after this Yeon Ho will accept it," said Dae Hyun while looking at his grandmother with a pleading gaze to support his relationship with Soo Yin.
They stopped the chat because they saw Park Soo Hyun had just come home from work even though it was almost midnight.
"Why haven\'t you slept yet? Grandma, you better go inside. The night breeze is not good for your health," Park Soo Hyun said.
"Oh my gosh, my grandson works so hard that he just got home in the middle of the night," Hae Sok said as she rubbed her youngest grandson\'s shoulder.
"That\'s right, Grandma. My brother didn\'t even want to wait for me to come home," Park Soo Hyun grumbled while glancing at his brother.
"But it doesn\'t matter Grandma, because starting tomorrow I will start working in the same room as Soo Yin," added Park Soo Hyun with a happy face.
Hae Sok stared at Dae Hyun for a moment before finally inviting Park Soo Hyun to get in. Meanwhile, Dae Hyun was still in his place. His intention to go to the Pyeongchang-dong villa was thwarted. He remained sitting on the terrace until almost morning.
