Chapter 435
Ye Zhi, “Gu Ren…”
Gu Ren seemed to have guessed what Ye Zhi was thinking of because his thin lips were gently lifted. He put on a calm expression,”There is a surprise.”
The plane was silent from then onwards and they seemed to be isolated from the world. Ye Zhi felt that her uneasy premonition was getting even stronger. Regardless, she watched a movie and rested for a while on the plane. And after a long flight, they finally arrived at the island.
Upon entering the villa that they were going to live in, the receptionist informed them that dinner preparations would commence.
Gu Ren took Ye Zhi’s hand and entered the room. She glanced hurriedly and her gaze fell on the big bed in the centre.
On the lower right corner of the sheet, Ye Zhi’s name was written. The small font was very chic and delicate. If one didn’t look at it carefully, no one would have noticed it at all.
Gu Ren stared at the sheets and asked thoughtfully, “Are you sleepy?”
“Not sleepy,” Ye Zhi answered quickly as she rested on the plane.
Gu Ren slowly turned his head. When those dark eyes looked at her, she still didn’t realise how puzzled she was.
Gu Ren was helpless. After a few seconds, his voice lowered and a few words slipped out from his throat, “Do you want to go for a walk?”
Ye Zhi changed into a long dress and dragged Gu Ren to the beach. The sun was shining brightly and the white seagulls were so beautifully reflected amidst the blue sky.
The sea breeze swept across her cheeks as her long hair was blown up. Those long locks brushed towards Gu Ren’s direction, providing the fleeting hint of her shampoo’s fragrance as his articulated fingers lightly wiped his nose, chasing the scent.
They spent the afternoon on the beach and went for dinner.
Gu Ren and Ye Zhi returned to the villa. After the two took a shower, Ye Zhi sat on the bed. She suddenly felt that something was slightly amiss.
Ye Zhi turned her head to look at the lamp beside her. She got closer and found two small characters written on the edge of the lampshade.
Ye Zhi.
With a smile on her lips, she picked up the napkin box next to her. Ye Zhi looked down, and sure enough, her name was written in the corner of the box.
Not only did everything on the plane have her name, but even everything in the villa had her name.
Ye Zhi looked at Gu Ren as her smile deepened, “Do you like me so much?”
Gu Ren didn’t speak as he just lowered his eyes and looked at Ye Zhi quietly. She looked up at him and his pupils were pitch black, the colour of ink drowning his pupils.
Gu Ren bent down suddenly and his movements were not hurried, but his black eyes were always looking at Ye Zhi.
Under the shroud of the light, Gu Ren’s skin seemed to be glazed with a layer of extremely cool tone. It was as if the snowflakes that fell at the beginning had seeped into his core.
Gu Ren stared at Ye Zhi as he opened his mouth and deliberately lengthened his tone. Inexplicably, his voice had a bit of sass and a light, teasing glint to it, “Do you want to know?”
Ye Zhi nodded.
Gu Ren smiled very lightly but it made Ye Zhi stunned as she was unable to take her eyes off his overly handsome face.
At this moment, Ye Zhi noticed a warm feeling covering her back. She turned her head sideways and realised that it was a pair of slender hands.
Ye Zhi’s body froze and she subconsciously stepped back.
